  1. Thank you for your time and patience. I will keep my fingers cross:)
  2. I believe that I was asking him and not you. Please reserve any further comments for when/if they are wanted.
  3. So you would say that a Sept 8 purchase and entering should be in game tomorrow?
  4. Thats is what was being said with the 2 fires of last week. 1) Gamestop was out of PO codes. BW replied that there are far more copies release then have been sold. They also implies that DO copies were exempt from the numbers 2) Amazon stated that it may take until Jan 9th (or 19th) to get all hard copies in hand.
  5. I think that there is going to be some issues on the 20th and 25th. 20th being official launch and 25 being Christmas.
  6. Yep. They should be the ones to piss and moan the most. Hell, at that point, there was point in PO in the first place. I think that is what will flame them the worst.
  7. Oh how I hope that no one plans to stealing my toons name GeorgeMucus or my backup plan HungSolo
  8. To continue argument see previous post. To concede defeat in argument see previous post.
  9. You beat me too it!!! LOL! You are right, it is not free play, it was an incentive to purchase the product. And a lot of us did put down $5 as a promise to purchase the full game once available, in return, Bioware offered the incentive. For the ones that canT comprehend that, may G-d have mercy on you if/when (going with a very big IF) you ever buy a car or home.
  10. 100% agreement! I would have accepted if they told me I wouldnt be able to play until the 19th. Atleast I would know. (Sept 8 pre-ordered and entered)
  11. I shudder at the thought. I understand that physical copies may take up to Jan 9th, or was it the 19th, to arrive. Atleast thats was Amazon said. Bioware also stated that there would be no grace period (dont know if that is still true). I am glad that I bought the digital copy on this one. I feel for the ones that pre-ordered in June or July and are going to have to wait till mid Jan to play.
  12. I dont think there would be as much flaming against Bioware if they kept to what they stated before that if the servers were looking good, which they are, that they would continue to invite players to join. Bioware stopped at 2:00 pm and basically said too bad, you will have to wait another 18 hours to see if your hopes are true or false. Its the lack of communication that is what bothers most. If they said "Purchases/Pre-orders made up to July 27th will get in on the 13th. July 28th to August 21 will get the 14th, blah blah blah." But alas, there is no communication. They still could have been very conservative with their assigned dates, and most people would have been accepting. Not knowing, that, that is what is hurting.
  13. ^^^^^^^^^^ The last Beta was the stress test. They knew how many people the servers could handle and so forth. Bioware invited a comparatively small number of PO's into the game today. Lunch time came around and that was it. 18 hours for the next wave is a bit excessive. An additional wave every 4-5 hours would be far more appropriate. Also, since the Beta stress test 2 weeks ago, Bioware has had plenty of time to correct some of these server issues such as purchasing new servers or creating more shards per server. Since I am not one of their programmer's of engineers, this however, is pure speculation. What I can say with all honesty is that the communication between Bioware and its player base on this issue has been found wanting. I think Shutting down the forums for four days did not help matters any and IMHO has made matters worse from severing the main line of communication between the 2 parties. I, as a player, am also partially at fault. I guess I maintained certain expectations (or hopes) that EGA invites would have been conducted smoothly.
  14. EGA is another word for soft opening. Think of it as the 20th being the official Grand Opening. So yea, in all reality, the game has launched.
