  1. Ah, ok thanks. But one thing is still not clear to me: will this about first and second style be the same AFTER the release, or it will only apply to characters created before it? Also, what exactly implies picking one class rather than another one as first combat style? Stat bonus? Bonus skills? I haven't really followed all the press about this new expansion, i am just now returned to the game
  2. Basically, what i wanted to know is: if i start a vanguard character, will i be able to go commando with rifle when expansion releases?
  3. As title says. Will we be able to respec and/or reclass our characters when legacy of the sith will launch? I am asking because i'd like to start a new character, but i will wait if i am stuck with current classes after the launch
  4. Sorry to crush your hopes, but its literally not possible that the game is responsible. Most likely a defective component.
  5. The problem was that rep items were not consumed if you quic,ly rightclicked on them, so you could spam infinite rep points.
  6. So, i was wondering, is there a list of all companions that will abandon the player if he joins this or that faction? For example, who will leave (other than Aygo and Jorgan) if i rejoin the Empire? It would be cool to know that, so i won't shower gifts to the wrong guys (or gals)
  7. If you want stealth: operative, assasin, shadow, scoundrel If you don't, any of the remaining.
  8. All stories are easy. That said, the quickest classes to play are obviously dps, while tanks are the slowest.
  9. That is a very, very, very imbecile thing to say, considering this game constant bleeding out of players that leads to more and more frequent server merges.
  10. Also, are there any guides for 6.0 yet?
  11. So...i was thinking about starting over as a Sorc or Marauder, and was wondering how do these classes fare both in pvp and pve in 6.0
  12. Are you, by chance, addressing the issue by which i don't win enough matches? It's pretty game breaking, tbh
  13. But ONLY if they add a base game storyline like for other classes.
  14. Class specific storylines and/or new classes. Heck, an adaptation of the trooper for the empire and of the agent for the republic would be epic, even if the storylines remained the same. Maybe just change the npcs.
  15. That is exactly what i was saying. Player characters are epic characters, even though they aren't trained in the force, they are very sensible to it. If you see it this way, kotet-kotfe makes sense with all classes. From my point of view, incompatibilities with that storyline emerge because of character's lifestyles linked to their classes.
  16. But is that video still valid for recent updates? Also, which discipline are you talking about? Because as gunnery, i can confirm only hail of bolts is unavailable
  17. I could point out at least 2 valid reasons for this: First, your character is not easily controlled but has a lot of followers. So the ends justify the means, even if they are hard to achieve. Two, if we take into account the midichlorians, it really doesn't matter if the character is trained in the force or not, because once Valkorion takes him over, it's only HIS training that matters anyway (other than the power contained in the character's blood, of course)
  18. And the main reason why i think smuggler and bounty hunter don't fit kotet-kotfe storyline is that they both are anarchic-style characters. While the bounty hunter could still fit in them, because he becomes a mandalorian after all and so it might be viewed as some kind of alternative Mandalore, i really, really cannot find any sense in a smuggler commander.
  19. Honestly, i don't agree too much with this. While imperial and republic soldiers and agents could very well work together because, eh, they are soldiers and so they share some common ground, the same cannot be said for sith and jedi. To that extent, a non force user commander suits the alliance much better than a force user.
  20. So, i bought my character a blaster rifle and equipped it and, after trying it out and reading through all skill descriptions, i came to the conclusion that only Hail of Bolts requires a cannon. Therefore, am i missing something, or is such a build viable? I am talking mostly about pvp, pve is secondary (although i can always swap the cannon back on if needed, obviously)
  21. They are, mostly because the recent mob upscaling was clearly made by a retard.
  22. Yep, it is another thread like that. My two cents on the subjects is that, besides the force users, the only classes that make sense playing trough the expansions are Trooper and Agent. That is because they both have a faction, a fixed allegiance, while smuggler and bounty hunter are nothing less than mercenaries. Besides, considering that you end up being a commander, it absolutely makes sense that a character coming from military or intelligence, two organizations based on hierarchy, would fill that role. Trooper more than agent, however: a soldier logically developes a lot more resilience than a secret agent, so it would be the best class to play as, if we exclude the force users, imo. As for the justification for playing as a non force users, well, whoever is into star wars lore knows very well what midichlorians are. So, it is entirely possible that a person with a lot of midichlorians in his blood was never found by jedi or sith and therefore became a ****** non force user. However, he would still best out many force users, because the midichlorians in his blood would allow him to do stuff normal people wouldnt be able to. So, while i agree the story of kotfe and kotet was NOT written for non force users, i DO think that some non force user classes fit quite easily into it.
  23. Looks like a good plan for the evening tbh
