  1. My brother was able to call and get it transferred to his new Droid Bionic so he didn't have to buy a new one. He had to be on the phone for over an hour though, and I do get the impression that the majority of the CS reps are pretty uninformed on these kinds of things.
  2. Im a fan of it personally. Makes it easier for me to see what abilities are available.
  3. On my server, Giradda the Hutt, it's painfully obvious. Especially since once you get off of Coruscant, you rarely see other republic players. When playing Empire, the only WZ that gets qued up is Huttball, since there is rarely enough republic players to get qued for Alderaan or Voidstar. Don't use just your server as a standpoint. I have characters on four different servers, and only one has a decent Republic pop.
  4. Definitions of meteoric: Of or relating to a meteor. resembling a meteor in speed or in sudden and temporary brilliance <a meteoric rise to fame> of, relating to, or derived from the earth's atmosphere <meteoric water> It seems apparent that they were using the second definition.
  5. It works, and you can get the shard on top. I've done it several times. Probably wont work for the +10s, but I'd be willing to try.
  6. You can do it with any class that has a pushback CC. I found more success with my BH doing it than with a Juggernaut. Works even better if you get an Assassin to help too. Push him up there, and have him pull you up and everyone else up if you have a full group.
  7. He's not bashing. He's bringing forth an issue he has with the game. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to like this game but not mindlessly praise everything it does.
  8. Definitely not blocked, since well... I am Spartacus!
  9. Unless they make him useless.. but then that would also defeat the purpose of getting him.
  10. I think it should be toned down a bit. It sucks that I have to skip quests just because if I dont I'll become severely over leveled and make questing too easy. So my choice is either: easy mode or level faster. Neither one is appealing.
  11. Social Vendor in the Tatooine Mos Isla cantina. Need social III to buy it.
  12. Lol, it's true. And it's looking to me like the finger paints team is working on Win 8...
  13. Problem seems to be right now is there are very few servers that have community. Giradda the Hutt, my server, has a fairly lively community filled with people to group with and talk to. But from what I gather from the LFD supporters, this is not the norm. I'm mixed on LFD, it would be beneficial to these dead servers, but I fear it would make my server less vibrant than it is.
  14. If they added a race that didn't speak basic, feel free to never play it. I want more unique races myself, not just red/blue/green humans.
  15. Open a support ticket in game for it. Click the question mark icon on your toolbar.
  16. I've done very little soloing and done very few quests where I had my companion out. Really I think it just comes down to being anti social. If you just whisper some people or even ask in general or those around you, there is always someone around to quest with (assuming you're on a decent pop server, and in dominant faction I suppose). Heres my checklist before doing any quest: Are there friends on? Ask them if they'd like to quest with you. Are there guildies on? Ask them if they'd like to quest with you. Is there anyone around you? Whisper them to see if they would like to do any of the same quests you are doing. If all else fails, ask general or send random whispers! If none of the above yield results, then yes you will likely need a companion. But I have not needed mine hardly at all, to the point that most of them are still wearing the gear they had when I first got them.
  17. This is really solid advice here. And really, if you are only looking to build it for this game alone you do not need an i5 2500k, you can go with something a little weaker. But I would still go Sandy Bridge (socket LGA 1155) just for upgrade-ability in the future. I only recommend the i5 2500k because of how much value you get for your dollar. It's truly an amazing piece of hardware. But I know it is pricey, so Im thinking an i5 2400 or 2310 would do, but they wont last you as long as a 2500k. Also, if it's your first build dont make the mistake of overloading on RAM. You dont need a lot. 8GB is going to be more than enough for any gaming or other applications. You dont need exuberant amounts of RAM.
  18. Single handedly best CPU on the market for gamin and more is going to be the i5 2500k Sandy Bridge model: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 I can not recommend anything other than intel for a new build right now until AMD gets their act back together. Going with an AMD bulldozer means going with already obsolete hardware, do not do it. As for GPU, thats a tricky one. Any of these from a reputable chipset vendor would be good: HD 6870 HD 6970 HD 6950 GTX 560 TI GTX 570 GTX 580 And on up, just depends on what you're willing to spend, and really how much of a power house you need .
  19. For the most part you can get away with doing just story missions and flash points. There may be times when you're a bit under leveld for the next planet and need to do some side quests first, but you do not need to do every single side quest. In fact, if you do every side quest of every planet, you will ALWAYS be 5-6 levels over leveled for each new planet you go to. It's because of that fact that I now skip a lot of quests on each planet, just so I don't make the game any easier than it is. I'd recommend doing what you need and when you break the level range of the planet, finish up class quests and leave.
  20. Merc healer. I just group up with pugs, friends, or guildies. Companions make me feel like I'm playing single player so I don't bother with them.
  21. I wish I could enjoy it, but ever since Alderaan, my music, ambient, and even speeder sounds just cut out every 20-30 seconds or so then take 20-30 seconds to come back.
  22. Am I the only one in this game who doesn't use his companions enough to care about their alleged usefulness? Or in this case, lack there of.
  23. Joking: Riot Games, Riot Shield, Riot Police, Riot Officer, Riot Outbreak Serious: hmmm I'll get back to you on that one.
  24. Depends, did you want a serious legacy name or kind of a joking/funny one to compliment the first?
