  1. There is no social aspect to a MMO really am stiing alone in a room cursing at a tv screen thats not social. a LFG tool would be great something basic that finds 4 players with the corect mix and thats all no teleporting you to the instance or extra loot for using it. However posabaly a cooldown for leaving a group found with it something that wont affect you if you have to drop the game and go do something like take the cat to the doctors or your mother to the vet. something that does make you think if i drop this group i am not getting another group for 6 years, oh and an option for mutual dropping of the group with no penalty if 1/2 or 3/4 agree for those times when its clear you cant finsih the dungeon because your healer forgot to bring his magic wand or the tank is naked.
  2. with the price of the game compared to subscription i am inclined to agree with you there. as for SWTOR so far since day 1 of release i have had 0 messages from gold sellers no mesages no spam, whatever they are doing they are doing it right.
  3. No. i got to 50 and although the journey was great the destination is PVP in hutball for all eternity. i love love SWTOR really i do but i cant play it anymore when it makes me feel sad everyday.
  4. its like puting a bandaid/plaster on a blasted off arm tbh.
  5. welcome to swtor enjoy oh and you may need this 'Hands siegedelux a can of bug spray'
  6. Really? You would turn down millions in cash towards developing a MMO of your own, for some reason I doubt many people would. The problems are not EA'S sole fault nor Biowares sole fault it's probabaly a mix of both EA has invested huge amounts of money in this game money that came from an account somewhere and the people who oversee that account will be expecting money to start coming back in at a set date. Bioware probabaly knew they needed to ship per christmass to get the biggest sales count they could so they did bugs and all. Likely thinking they can patch the bugs and keep some people off there back who expect a lot of money millions in fact back. Simple fact is this is how companies now work its all about min maxing but in a real life scenario do I agree with it? No do I think it's right? No but what can we do unless we have millions our selves to make our own games 'cough minecraft cough'.
  7. It's all to do with republic:empire balance on your server if there are 10 republic and 90 empire looking for pvp then 1 group of empire and republic can play the other pvp areas while 4 groups of empire will be doing hutt ball. I love hutt ball now that I am playing it like a game of rugby with blasters.
  8. The reason so many people miss it is for some reason once you load into the fleet for the first time the npc that gives you your quest for advanced class does not instantly appear I noticed this as I knew were I was going from beta. If you run straight up the stairs before the npc appears then you can miss it. Note that it only happens the first time one of your characters goes to fleet not if another character goes later on. Also somejerk this is the new player forum some people may be new to mmo's or even gaming that's why the come to the new players forum to ask for help from people who are willing to give it.
  9. Specific server forums would cover everything in one forum you can recruit for your guild trade and arrange events. I personally don't care what's happening on the server that's got a close name to mine because I can't do anything there.
  10. I agree. And a player driven economy gives you something to spend your time doing therefore you may stay subscribing for longer which is what they want so make crafting usefull and involve the players more and retain people longer.
  11. You have the same chance to find it, however if you are in a group it may drop and someone else may roll on it and win it.
  12. You can speak to the enemy in /say they understand galactic basic.
  13. Yes I would skip it. Means you can do it on an alt instead of whatever planet you were just on.
  14. Not true I was dark 9500 light 500 and after getting another 500 dark I am now dark 10k tier 5. However getting that 500 points I noticed that not all dark gains were moving my meter unsure which ones did though as I used diplomacy flashpoints and normal quests.
