  1. This has only really bugged me as of recent. I started an agent healer operative, and low and behold I got an interupt. I knew melee's had it and had no idea operatives did. I know snipers don't have an interupt either so merc qualifies as this long range dps area, but I've always been up close with merc. The jetboost does all right except to the big bosses.
  2. I'm resurrecting this thread, thought about a merc with a rifle a long time ago and wondered how come? Why doesn't bounty hunter have rifle capabilities? I undertand the dynamic but with boba fett being one of the most popular characters in star wars, I just don't get why BH isn't a weapons master and have a couple different options. Although then again, unload with two weapons is way cooler than one.
  3. Thx for your input guys! I'm not worried about expertise as I have been inserting the pvp mods in the pve armor(making my own pvp armorings). I like the look of tionese too so that's a plus with the helm and body pieces. The rest if my kit is augmented battlemaster that I've made (war hero when I get to valor 70). My kit seems to do really well and I'm anxious to make a bracer with expertise when I have the time to figure out how I want to move around mods. Thinking of buying a bunch of BM gear with the specific stats and loading to the curve with crit and power. I do play other toons as I get bored playing the same toon consistently.
  4. So I pvp with 2 pieces of pve for the 15% tracer bonus and the rest of my kit is augmented custom armor. Anyone play with all augmented armor vs pve whole or mix like what I got going on? Thx!
  5. Deposits rates are outrageous, I went broke yesterday placing item on it. Its counterproductive and works against creating an economy within game. Timelines need extended too past 2 days too. X-server? If we don't merge the GTN would be nice to be cross server in order to expand the selling base.
  6. It could be an artifact if legendary loot. There are schemes for synthweave that have different color scheme (Orange/ custom). I got a loot one that was black and dark purple. It was cool and I had torian in it for a long time. May find one on GTN, depending in server.
  7. You make sense for your situation, kind of? On other servers, where there are only 4 to 10 people at a fleet, looking for a group is a different situation as 75% of those people at fleet are not level 50, and the other 50 players are all dps due to having to solo everything that you can actually play. However, with an influx of population the greater chance of Flashes, ops, and such. Not having a merge, makes no sense to me at all.
  8. Good post! I like the intimidation hum of a saber though. Never too much fuzz!
  9. If a player rerolls on the server anyway, the population increase is all ready applied. Transfering characters has no actual addition to the server population. Merges won't dramatically increase population, limits will need raised to massive server anyway....but if population is only on one server....the refugees will come anyway leading to whatever increase there will be to happen anyway. I might be hard to understand. Basically transfers by reroll are all ready there, their other toons won't matter, the transfer that haven't rerolled..... will either quit or coming anyway, just postponed arrival.
  10. If you play on any but about 3 to 4 servers... via torstatus.net. There is a huge problem right now. In terms of, "if I worked for the company", possibly fatal due to competition introduced and forth coming. The dead server deal has to be addressed ASAP before you can work on any bug fixes or content. Rated matches are great, but there won't be community to play them. Cross server ques puts people in a limbo status as they won't interact with community and the possible isolation could produce problems due the economic and resource gap that community provides. Example: augmented gear and the augments applied that have to be crafted and their availability. I personally don't think a cross server Que to push rated matches works at all and transfers/ merge has to happen before any of that content can be published anyway. I'm guessing.... "Toon movement" is going to happen "soon" actually means forth coming in the next few weeks or as fast as it can be produced, which sounds like it could be a huge undertaking.
  11. Merging to the fatman(super).... And why its okay. 1. Chances are you have a toon there, played or idle right now. Additional toons will not add actual population per se, just another toon, population increase has all ready been applied. 2. Only one toon can be logged in anyway. Don't hate on refugees. 3. You loose your name, get a new one. (Ya it sucks but it is an inevitably, ill miss my names too but original holder or first in line is just the straw) 4. Forcing you community to starting from total scratch is bad policy. (You'll loose on that one, contrary to legacy idea ) 5. Community game needs community, limits of population is a sure way to bite you, people will eventually play casually anyway as long as they is a community to return to, it makes return appealing. 6. Humans make new friends easy, especially when you have to. 7. Why not 12 or 16 toons on one server, grinding new toons on this game is actually fun....(only one on at a time anyway) There are some negatives with a giant server. During really high peak times can cause problems, even with different instances. Bottom line. Endgame material is what keeps subscriptions. It's the glue. Getting new players only keeps them till 50... then you'll loose them. I didn't start DCUO until the massive server and its a better idea than this lots of servers idea. Even making more than one server, is delaying another inevitability of another merge. Not too sure wouldn't just merge pve and pvp servers and make the flag an on off option like swg used to have to keep gankers at bay. Anyway Erickson seems to the one guy that gets the P.R. idea and I thank you Dan for the hope you've created and if you read the forums.... I think you got a little re-enforcement from the community about your idea..... Now make it happen yesterday!
  12. This is an inevitability. We will all have to move on from it. That doesn't make it stink less, but names will have to be changed.
  13. Based on torstatus.net.... The super server is happening even without intervention with pvp servers. Swiftsure the number 2 pvp server is in the beginnings of its slide as fatman is levelling off. Comparing it to economic models, you can determine "uh oh" I've been playing Anchorhead in false hope...? Tonight ill be rerolling, I'm just not going to wait. This game is fun, with a community, not fun at all without, especially with a subscription.
  14. I agree with original poster, had something similar weeks ago. Still feel this way but in a more dire need now. I think times up. On another thread someone gave this link: torstatus.net. I was absolutely shocked by the numbers. Look for yourself if you haven't yet. Whatever is being worked on, needs to be put on hold because we'll all be gone before its published.
  15. Unchanged. Free months still in effect... Ask again in June.....eeeek!
  16. It's not a question of saving face or bringing players back, most of those guys are gone permanent. It's about keeping what you got. If this thing doesn't go down real soon, how many of us are going to stay? The last 3 weeks on Anchorhead pve has been non existent (post 50 - endgame), no Hardmode groups what so ever. GTN is a joke. Warzones haven't been popping for about 2 weeks on a consistent basis. I started a new toon and did well for about a week, now eh. Anchorhead wasn't bad 3 weeks ago, not terrible 2 weeks ago, to absolute doldrums. The worst thing, I don't think Anchorhead is in the worst condition. Subs are still current, due to free month, but I know quite a few guys with the opinion, if this merge doesn't happen, I'm done. We are past the point of transfers. Mergers have to be done.... Then let's talk transfers. The idea of a "Super Server", really should happen in order to maintain server population and should be considered. There are way! Too many servers. For a community based endgame, there is no community, endgame @ 50. Here's spin for them. We consolidated the servers to create a massive community to make endgame more prevalent or to expand pvp to greater heights with large scale ground war and 16 v 16 warzones. (Easy development). Yahzee, maybe even grad more of a pvp crowd. I like pvp and pve, but right now none are capable of being played.
  17. Nice work aerro. I completely agree with your comments on the Rakata belt and bracers. Aug slots are basically a requirement. Also, when working to Rakata implants and ears, you about have to have the columi stuff with the slot as well. It is really too bad, Hunter doesn't have a +2 crit on Armortech, but Armortech is about a necessity. All the other skills that are useful about need to go to additional toons. I have a similar build only without the acc, and have a little more healing. Only due to using healings in ops as someone to back up and help at times. Cheers! Good article.
  18. We do need an interupt, if not only a pve one to use against bosses. Some bosses have one hit = death abilities. I did the battle of Illum the other day, granted our tank was aweful, but we couldn't get past the final boss because there was no interuption of the force explosion. To not give an interupt ability doesn't work, a work around doesn't wither in flashpoints and group work.
  19. I have an idea why they did it. After gearing a little more/ differently and having augments on....just about everthing. Its harder to notice the nerf. It still "feels" off. And the numbers still look odd being so specific. But I went back to arsenal after learning some thing from pyro and playing other classes and it isn't so bad, dare I say. I still think something is still off though. The original poster may very well be closer to correct than we would like, the nerf was more for the top notch endgame gear, but it really hurt the ungeared.
  20. It's apples and oranges. Two systems to keep you busy. Pretty clever business tactic for an mmo.
  21. That is what you call, "hitting the nail on the head" my friend! Yahzee.
  22. As a healer head-hunter, I understand. We all have the stuns and cc's though, and being a healer is asking for it. In order to kill off people in my way ill quickly target you and stun the crap out of ya to get what I want. Then I go after the healer. . Or start with ya. Like the guy above, I have yet to see the resolve bar = useful. If you are actually paying attention to it trying to use it, its a distraction and you're dead anyway. Against premades that know how to work to together too, ha forget it. It's like huttball against a team of warriors and inquisitors, forget it, take the payout you can. After playing basically every class, we all have our pluses qnd minuses. Playing the other classes has definitely helped me with my pvp. My advice, make a tank friend, I live pvping with a pocket healer with a tank. Tank + Pocket Healer = Invincible. No joke. + a dps or another tank and work together. It's like call of duty 4 on 1
  23. Ps I love the look of eliminator tionese/ columi. Inquisitors look goofy, point and laugh funny.
  24. Tionese crystals come from killing bosses in hardmodes, and from completing pve dailies. It looks like a lot, but I believe one or two HM's will get you a piece. Lots of black talons to start, recuit armor is a decent start. As far as builds, I go to mercenarybuilds.com, Google that if my spelling is wrong or not plural. They do have great builds for pvp & pve. I use the one with pyro endurance and a little healing, I think its a pvp build but I took out jet boost and got the slow down with unload. For pve its great, for pvp, I like it, would like jet boost for huttball but I'm burned out on pvp. I use them on my other Toons too. My jug is invincible.
  25. Don't get me wrong, I love open world pvp, and it does need fixed. And making a better(than early Illum), will take some time to create, the new warzone is a good reference of an idea to get people out of bases. I'm very hopefull, and I really have fun with this game. I'm not an ole school mmo'r. I played swg till nge, and just didn't like wow. The pvp gear grind is forever for you guys that have to have it. It's made hard to keep you busy and when its too over powered, they'll make it easy to get hero just like BM gear to even it all out. (Or sorted ranks to keep ya busy). They gotta keep casuals subscribed too, these games are big money makers, gotta get that money. As for Bio not paying attention, hi screener!, I'm betting they are there but responding to everyone and tipping hats to things that come do not benefit the company and only hurt it, especially with direct competition lurking in the immediate future, one of which from EA. It's business, I get it and ill keep subscribing until that day and look forward to upcoming stuff, until that day, which is the got ya formula. FYI, I'm not trying to sing kumbaya, I detest that commie crap, but you should be happy paying SWTOR, its a very cool game. Try not to be negative, its a game, have fun while you can. Burning yourself out isn't fun, nor a game. Force be with ya!
