Hey everyone... I know some of you might frown at me big time once I ask my question, because it prolly sounds very newbie-ish. Please bear with me, Ill try to explain.
The question is: Is it common to keep the consular in Seer-spec and doing solo-content/dailies/etc that way?
Reason I ask is... the consular was my first char, I started on launch day together with some of my guildies from another MMO. Since we had some big plans, I decided to level a healer (as I was a healer mainly in the other MMO), and I wanted to be able to help guildies and make sure there'd be a healer for guild-runs of FPs etc.
I did level that way back then, and had some issues with some of the "quest bosses" of trhe Consular questline, even had to ask a guildie for help on one or two of them. I am not sure whether they'd have been easier in Shadow spec or playing a DPS-consular.
Anyway... I did leave for quite some time, and when I came back, my guildies had gone, moved to other games or whatever. I am a rather casual player, mostly do dailies. achievements etc.
I do all that in Seer-spec, usually using Nadia, keeping her health up while DPSing the mobs together with her. So on some fights, I have to heal quite a bit, on others she doesnt take much dmg (say, some of the dailies).
I do enjoy that playstyle, but I do wonder... is this a common thing? Am I limiting myself? Am I missing out by not respeccing to DPS for my mostly solo-style, casual playing? (dont do much groupfinder stuff etc.)
I know, the obvious answer prolly would be to just respec and try, but I was wondering whether some people could give me some feedback or opinions.
Thanks so much in advance!
