  1. Seems to me you still just prefer how the current generation of MMO's work. While I will respect your opinion and your MMO choices, I will take pity on you for not being able to enjoy a refreshing change in the MMO scene.
  2. I'm not directly leaving TOR for GW2, just that me leaving this game and then also going to GW2 just happened to take place within the same month. Bioware Austin isn't exactly a terrible studio, but they were too ambitious with some of their goals while also too cautious in other areas. Regardless of if they'll admit it, they were essentially trying to one-up Blizzard, and fell flat on their face. Now, EA is forcing Bioware into plan B and try to recoup their loses. This game wasn't built from the ground up for Free-To-Play though, which is why I'm leaving. It's sad really , this game had such great potential. The only good thing that came out of this game is that future MMOs will now push for more voice acting instead of pages of dialog. Honestly, I don't care that Guild Wars 2 is just another sword and sorcery fantasy game. The fact of the matter is, Arenanet knows what they're doing with this game and what will become the standard for the next generation of MMO's.
  3. On the contrary, Artifice, alongside Cybertech and Armstech, has the highest money making potential. These crew skills craft the items that are the most rare and hard to learn scematics: grade 26 barrels, hilts, and non slot-bound armorings. My main knows the Might Hilt 26, and has made well over 20 million credits crafting these. I know a Cybertech that has made 10 million from selling Guardian armoring 26.
  4. Empire side only. Absolutely no gaurantee that weapons in future item tiers will have higher rated purple color crystals. Same goes for Republic and Cyan crystals.
  5. I hope not, otherwise my biggest source of income on my Artifice will go bye bye.
  6. Nothing upsets me more than when I call out an Inc, even if its just 1 (because only god knows that theres a high chance a stealth is with them) and they don't even bother to look to see if I'd need help, let alone actually help.
  7. I craft level 26 Hilts, sell them for 2-3mil each, very quickly too. Mats are practically free from guild's raiding. Artifice is profitable. EDIT: Here's another tidbit. People talk about being able to get full Campaign/Black Hole level gear through wearing Tionese with Black Hole mods, the offhand, implants and earpiece, and the relics through dailies (or as of now PvP). You can't get the hilts or barrels through Black Hole comms, you have to raid HM EC, or pay out the *** to have them crafted.
  8. THIS. So much. So many times I've seen a node get lost or a bomb get planted because not ONE person would sacrifice their fun to guard it.
  9. Seriously this needs to stop. You're so lazy as to just remove it all together instead of whipping your lazy *** art team into making it "work" the way you want it too. EDIT: And there wasn't even anything wrong with the clipping for Campaign hoods. I've had people asking me about it saying that it was the first hood they've seen that actually works with a Twilek's Lekku.
  10. > "Fixed" Gunslinger and Sniper capstone abilities. > Meanwhile Sage and Sorcerer capstone abilities still suck.
  11. Look again, Arsonist and Scotia, the two players that left in between the two Huttball ending messages, were in that Voidstar match. Thus there is no way he could of accidentally scrolled up and mistook it for the current match.
  12. The problem isn't that Scoundrel and Operative DPS can't as easily defeat their class story bosses, its that BioWare currently believes they're pretty much right where they want them in terms of DPS. But many believe the exact opposite, they do have burst potential still, but very much lacking in the sustained DPS department, as well as having zero group utility unlike say a Sentinel or Commando. As well, compared to other melee DPS classes, their survival abilities leave much to be desired. They're pretty much the worst DPS class in the game, and they'll stay that way until Bioware gets their stuff together.
  13. While I don't share your taste in music, I have to say with my limited experience as one (rank 32 level 36 scrapper) that was some fine scrappin'. I didn't actually think you'd live against that Juggernaut in Ilum, that was quite impressive how you kept yourself at roughly 10% that whole time. Also, grats on rank 90, I don't dare ask how long you've been at that.
  14. The Smuggler story is very funny and enjoyable. Many of the response choices are hilarious, some of which aren't just for the class story. Add to that the comedic value of some of our abilities, and I'd have to say that its one of the more widely enjoyable stories on the republic side.
  15. PR reasons, they post ahead of the time but hide it until its been given the "ok" by the fact-checkers and grammer nazi's. They stated in the guild summit that it does work in Warzones, so you can have one person have 4 characters up to chapter 2 and then go into a Civil War match with 8 troopers and still have all 4 buffs.
  16. Will you, in the future, allow Alacrity to affect DoTs and HoTs?
  17. You're right that is not the point. The point is if everyone in the world waited for something to be fixed to use or do it properly, we'd still be in the dark ages. Use the rocks, then put it behind you like the rest of us did.
  18. Rank 2 does not offer the best protection. If you run by a mob of similar level to you, and it hits you a few times, you won't get knocked off. If you run into a crowd of mobs similar level to you, or even just a few mobs way above you're level and they get a few in on you, you're going to get knocked off. Same goes with rank 3, cept that it takes way more hits to knock you off of course. Also, I've not ever been knocked off my rank 3 speeders. Ever. You're guildmates must have intentionally aggro'ed a small city and stood in the center to get knocked off.
  19. The thing about Mauraders and Sentinels is... they wreck faces... but only if you're skilled at the class. It's been stated before that these Advanced Classes are the hardest to learn and master. You say you have 4 Maurader characters and have played them to death, but playing a class for a long time does NOT MEAN you're any good at it. Verdict: You suck at Maurader but don't want to admit it so you come here to complain about the class.
  20. The difference between rank 1 piloting and rank 2 and 3 piloting is that rank 2 and 3 grant you increasing resistance from being knocked off your speeder, while rank 1 grants no resistance. If all you're doing is camping out in fleet waiting for the next WZ, HM or Ops, then anything beyond rank 1 is pointless. For the rest of us that leave the fleet, rank 2 and 3 is of great convenience.
  21. Only 3 Advanced Classes can cure them, only once every 5 seconds, at the cost of both a GCD AND some resources, and last but not least is very likely to cure Affliction which has NO CD and can be reapplied right after being cured. Crushing Darkness deals almost half of its damage in the initial cast and will probably do more before the player is cured of it, and finally Creeping Terror has only one sole use in PvP: the immobilisation, which cannot be cured (as far as I've seen). 1v1 against a Madness Sorcerer or Balance Sage, it is completely viable and well worth curing their dots as that is half their damage right there, but in a cluster**** like you'll normally see in a warzone, the benefits do not outweigh the negatives, and you'll only waste precious GCD's curing them.
  22. You can watch the video on if its not working for you on this website.
  23. And during the situations where I do join an in progress Warzone, that debuff is already at 20 seconds left, so theres no hope for me when it happens. I'm going to be upgrading some parts to hopefully improve my loadtimes (mainly my harddrive, into an SSD (yes I know I'm late to the party)), but it still happens and thats why I want it changed.
  24. It doesn't happen often, but every now and then I will join a Warzone at the most inconvenient of time; when the barrier just goes down, and by the time I've reached it (usually in Huttball) its back up now, and it won't go down before I get kicked due to Bioware not having thoroughly thought out what is a great mechanic. Sure you could say "upgrade your PC so your loading times are faster" and I'm working on that, but I've even had friends and guildmates, whom have faster loading times than I do, have this happen to them as well. All I ask Bioware is that you prevent this debuff from being place upon a player right as they join a Warzone. A great idea would be to lengthen the PvP Immunity a player obtains while zoning in, and tie the Deserter Immunity to that.
