  1. The only real solution for this problem is very simple and it worked like a charm on WoW so I don't understand why BioWare is dragging it's feet. Free server transfers. I know companies look at that and think oh but that's giving away something for nothing but that's not true I paid to play the game not sit in queues for hours. Also don't say opening new servers without this is going to aleviate anything because people that have leveled a character to even 20 aren't going to start on a whole new server.
  2. Read here http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=26745 It explains why todays invites are going to be only days at a time.
  3. The question I know a lot of you have is, why haven't we yet invited those who redeemed very recently? The answer is because of the volume of recent pre-orders that have been redeemed, which is spiking up very high. So, a lot of people have redeemed in a short period of time. Essentially we're in the same place we were on the 13th, where we invited a lot of people, but most had redeemed in the same short period of time. Basically said the amount of preorders in December was equal to that of July so it's going to be days at a time.
  4. I can't believe you're all flaming him for his viewpoint. Especially because if you were in his shoes you'd be thinking the same thing. I'm not even upset about the way ega was issued but the way customer service has been handled like every person is a minor annoyance to be ignored or ridiculed.
  5. They're closing threads that violate "their" terms of use for these forums which they own. I flagged this one as well because it's not useful.
  6. Let me know what you guys think of this build. I thought it might be a good Force return/healing build with some light damage added in to active the Force return. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201GGrR0d0bZfsb0dzMZ0M.1
  7. I have to say I am not a fan of what they've done for the voice of what I had planned to be my race. Every instance in the movies and games that we've heard them speak they seem to be breathing through their words like it was some kind of physical feature of their voice box. Now it just sounds Brithis:/
  8. GameStop is up to the same kind of tricks. I preordered and they told me they were out of prerelease codes. I went home and saw online that origin and Best Buy still had them so the next day I went back to get a refund so I could buy a copy with a preorder code. The very same guy that told me they were out started apologizing and saying it was his fault and that he should have made sure I had that code when I bought the game. So freaking shadey.
  9. Yoda's race is just that the Yoda Race it doesn't have an actual name. Also anyone whose seen that breaking bad commercial knows the answer to that question. I can't remember the name of the author I do remember him dying saving Han's children though thus repaying his life debt.
  10. You sir are mistaken. Tons of people from WoW have moved over to this game and something PVP players loooove to do is grieve those lower then them. You probably didn't experience it because they realized by the time they reached a necessary level to do that the beta weekend would be over and decided instead to enjoy the weekend testing. I promise if you join a PVP server within two weeks you will experience being camped by someone who already has a speeder who can run you down, kill you, and camp you for hours because they were allowed to get a 3 day head start on us.
  11. My only real problem with this is the PVP leveling is going to be a nightmare. If I get in three days later there will already be level 30 characters in the world with speeders that can kill you, outrun you, and camp you. This is a horrible way to start a game with a PVP aspect of this scale.
  12. Sorry but I think the developer hit it right on the head. It wouldn't be right to put that into a game early on. However after the full content of the game has been explored, played, and witnessed I hate having to waste time traveling back to the same location every time I want to farm gear from a dungeon(flashpoint). Could you imagine the level of annoyance in WoW if you had to travel to Outworld every time you had wanted to do dungeons? I am personally happy they plan to implement in this way.
  13. I agree I think The Old Republic does a decent job of balancing leveling for whatever specialization you decide to go with. I played the final Beta weekend and got to 30 healing. On the same note you're not without dps and stun abilities if you decide to level healing so keep that in mind when you're facing large groups.
  14. I agree that I think it'll be based on what classes people are playing. For instance a person playing an Inquisitor isn't likely to need Biochem but instead would use Synthweavig to create their early gear.
  15. It doesn't matter when you entered the code as the waves seem to be getting chosen randomly. There's another forum for this same issue and people from July and October are being let in.
  16. It seems obvious by the dates posted here it's not linear based on when you entered your preorder code but just random waves according to the whims of the MMO gods.
