  1. My guess is we're getting a Push or Pull ability to make us more viable in WZs(mainly Huttball). Interesting that they say all talent points will be reset. Makes it sound like they'll be sweeping changes. We'll see...
  2. No way. The focus system is fine. We're built around building up and then unleashing. Change that and you'd literally have to change the entire class. I personally love the system and IMO it's much more fun than the Trooper/BH and Smuggler/IA's ammo/energy system(haven't played Consular/Inquisitor yet).
  3. Too many baddies think they can just faceroll a DPS rotation. You're given plenty of defensive cooldowns and utility abilities, use them. I steamrolled through every quest boss(wiped once on the guy in Belsavis)with no issues.
  4. For leveling, Doc is the best companion. Kira might be better if you're a Guardian tank, but honestly with Doc you'll have NO downtime. Overall leveling speed is much faster with a healer. I never used Rusk or Scourge. Only used T7 until I got Doc(used Kira occasionally or when I had to like for certain class quests).
  5. People underrate Doc's offense. It's not like he only heals and does nothing else. In situations where you aren't taking too much damage, he can actually dish out pretty decent DPS. I've seen him basically tank Strongs no problem. And with his healing, you basically have no downtime. I pretty much never had to rest between pulls once I got Doc.
  6. I had no problems with Doc's healing. The only issue is sometimes you'll break LOS and that will cause him to not heal you. Never had that issue with Elara, though I'm only 25 on my Commando so far.
  7. It's happening on my server too and it's really dumb. I can't stand that kill trading BS. I PVP for the challenge. Kill trading is just boring and stupid.
  8. It's worth it because there is really nowhere else to put the points, and you need to put 5 in the bottom tier of Combat anyway to get important talents like the AOE damage reduction, and 3% accuracy increase.
  9. AOE is generally going to be burst. How long do you sit there sustaining AOE? It's usually pretty quick. At least in current raid content(haven't done Nightmare though but I would assume the AOE situations would be similar).
  10. Dual speccing within the AC should be in the game. I'm a Sentinel, but I want a second spec for PVP, or might make my second spec Focus for trash/AOE(not a huge deal as trash is trivial right now but could be of greater concern later). I don't think dual spec phases out pure DPS. It does allow excess healers/tanks to respec DPS when fights don't require them to be at their main role though, or if a main healer/tank can't make it a backup can simply change to their second spec instead of having to waste time and $ to go back to Fleet and respec.
  11. Nobody knows yet for sure as I don't think anyone has really tested it(without combat logs/dps meters it would be incredibly tedious to test).
  12. You can't just look at Slash's crit and not factor in Merciless Slash's crit chance. MS crits are huge. You absolutely must take MS as Watchman spec. It'd be downright retarded not to.
  13. It's absolutely worth it for PVE. 4 seconds of damage immunity is huge for a lot of the bosses that have unavoidable AOE. In PVP it probably isn't worth it(Watchguard would be better).
  14. I love Tracer Missile/Grav Round spamming scrubs. I make it my mission in every WZ to hunt them down. Then I troll them in /say.
  15. A Focus specced Sentinel can unleash some pretty good AOE DPS. Force Sweep(after a Leap so it auto crits and buffing it) + Sweeping Strike spam = massive DPS. Of course nobody really specs Focus for PVE.
