  1. The advanced classes have equal counterparts on either side that identical. The game only has 8 classes, not 16. I realize that there are some people, who for some reason or another, would want to play the exact same class multiple times, but the point of the way it's set up is so that you don't. The point is that you play one on on side and the other on the other so you get both stories without having to play the same class twice. Games are usually set up for the average player and the average player isn't likely to play a single class multiple times (or on the reverse side, those Highlander types who believe that there can be only one.) Short of them adding more classes to the game or merging the servers into single-server-per-play-type servers, I don't see them adding more character slots.
  2. Everyone knows WoW was a fluke, Blizzard has made the statement about it several times and that there's no way they could make another game that be as popular again. No game is for everyone. There will be people that prefer the games like GW2 and Secret world. Personally have no interest in GW2 and I'll probably try Secret World, but I'm probably sticking with TOR longer than any other MMORPG I've played since EQ because of the story, which is what has been lacking for me in MMORPGs and why I haven't been able to stick with one since the novelty of them wore off. As far as D3, it's a regular game, not an MMO, so I don't see why it's part of this conversation. You beat it and then go back to your MMO or play something else.
  3. Anyone know if there's an Orange Blaster Rifle with this model? (kind of looks like it's from Mass Effect) http://www.torhead.com/item/eZihL35/assault-rifle#screenshots;view:5328 Troopers used to get a cool metal one with blue lights on Ord Mantel back in Beta. Would like to get one with model again. Craftable or not, either way. Though I'd prefer one that didn't have a dark skin like that. Liked my metal one.
  4. Forget transfers. They need to merge all servers into a single server per play type, which they should have done from the start. People keep clinging to the multiple server BS and it needs to be done away with. No one makes MMORPGs that AREN'T instanced anymore. It's been that way for years, so there's no excuse not to have more than one server per play type. It's inevitable that these populations issues will happen after the game is no longer new and shiny and stuff starts leveling off. Avoid the situation in the first place like Cryptic does. That's one thing I miss about Cryptic games and I don't understand why almost no one else has adopted that.
  5. Those are Magenta crystals, not Purple. We're looking for Purple, like Mace Windu. Quite frankly infuriated about this. They give us Yellow crystal recipes, but not purple. There are more than likely less people who want to use yellow than purple and that's the one we get. The only reason I'd ever use a pee crystal is to run around singing the Shin Wars Lightrod song, which I have no intention of actually doing.
  6. A glaring hole that still hasn't been filled given the fact that no one can actually give anyone any information on if there even are purple schematics in the game. Patch Notes only really say that Orange was added. No mention of Purple Investigation Schematic drops. I don't care about Pink and Cyan being rare, that's fine, they're not really standard LS colors. But Purple? They really need to give us that one.
  7. Purple is pretty much the only color I want to use. That's always been my color in Jedi games that allow me to use it. My Force FX LS sitting on top of my desk is purple. They should have made Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Yellow and Orange all craftable and leave the super special colors as rares, like multi color (black core), white, teal, etc. as the special rares.
  8. If you expect much out of an MMORPG community, you're going to be disappointed by any game. The best way in life to not be disappointed by people is to expect everyone to be a jerk and/or an idiot. Then when they're not, something positive has happened. If you're really going to deprive yourself of the game because of other people, you're doing a disservice to yourself. Letting other people control what you do is generally not a good sign.
  9. It's extremely viable if you're DPS since you can't buy purple mods from vendors, especially for Sentinels and Marauders. But as far as the augment stuff goes, that's why I decided not to go with Armor/Synthweaving. I'd rather just find an armor set I like than hope to get one that I like the looks of that's orange since I don't like a lot of the crafted normal armor. Plus I wasn't sure if you could crit oranges or not.
  10. It's random, but higher crew affection increases the chances I believe, like it does with crafting/mission efficiency.
  11. I really hope the new Flashpoint is as story heavy as the first ones. I was severely disappointed by the grand total of 4 Social Points I gained from Hammer Station. Felt like they just put them in for the sake of having filler content, which the game does not need given how much higher quality content is already available. If you're going to add flashpoints, I say don't bother unless they're like Esseless and Black Talon. That's the content I'm here for for Flashpoints, not some Heroic quest disguised as a Flashpoint.
