    Total BS

Level sync is ok, current state of PvP not so much.

For those of you on Jedi Covenant may recognize my Sith Jugg Füger. I've been pretty vocal in WZ's about many of the balance issues that have been around since release. I came back to the game a couple months ago to see if things had gotten any better. I left the game initially about 4-5 months after release due to the massive imbalance in PvP, along with the rampant speed and teleport hacks. Some of the issues were fixed, well, they diminished. The one that never got fixed, and people had been asking for since release was preventing premade PvP groups from being able to queue up against PUG's. WoW figured out how to do it, seems logical that SWTOR would eventually be able to figure it out as well. Today was the final straw for me. I was in close to 15 WZ's, and each time the other team was the same premade guild group that clobbered my teams. Now think for a second, would you enjoy being on the receiving end, non stop mind you, of being rickrolled by the same guild group? I don't, and I know the people on my teams didn't enjoy it either. Typically you can leave a WZ and wait a couple minutes, requeue and you usually get out of the premade cycle. Not tonight. I would have gladly taken a 4s match which I usually despise; BW didn't have a clue when they designed it. Nothing says balance like a tank with 84,000 hp and 2018 expt that hits like a sniper... Thank you ranked gear for that one... So whats my point? Well, quite frankly I have seen some pretty wonky PvP systems in other MMO's, and quite frankly SWTOR's is among the worst. It's quite obvious that no one at BW cares about the state of PvP, or what their paying customers want. Sorry, but no one in an unranked WZ should be able to wear ranked gear. Maybe it's time to take another idea from WoW and put everyone on a level playing field in PvP.

    new bugs

I have opened several tickets in game about the companion auto targeting, hopefully it get's fixed soon. Also noticed that I randomly target my companion in the middle of a fight without even clicking on or near them. Then there is also the loot in the middle of a fight without right clicking bug that I love.
  4. This has happened to me quite a bit. I found the only workaround for this is to completely log out and back into the game. Once I log back in the item is unlocked. I wasted quite a few cartel coins figuring this out.
  5. I never got the movie, just spawned my level 1 character in the fleet.
  6. Same here, also have not had any of my tokens restored when I deleted a toon I created with one.

    The Operative roll!!!

I'm pretty sure that BW didn't intend for Scamper/Exfiltrate to exceed it's range when used by a ledge. Pretty surprised they haven't fixed that little bug.
  8. Then why do I notice a significant improvement in performance when I enable SLI?
  9. It was pretty well documented when SWTOR went live that there was a major issue with the Hero 3 engine and high end computer performance. It's been awhile since I've looked it up, but there were computers with average CPU's, GPU's, and memory out performing high end computers. I run 2 Nvidia 980's in SLI and I definitely notice a performance change when i forget to enable SLI after updating the drivers.
  10. When I played back in 2012 there were plenty of hacks; I'm betting that many of those original hacks are still around in some form. Stuff that was a problem back then was teleport hacks in Huttball (ball grabbed and capped as soon as the game began). Speed hacks were pretty blatent; capping turrets before speeders landed.
  11. I quit SWTOR back in 2012; the game was stagnant at the time and it didn't seem that the developers were putting much effort into fixing some of the major exploits and bugs. They also didn't seem overly interested in trying to balance classes in PvP (see my sig). I recently started growing bored with WoW and decided to give SWTOR another shot. Previously I played a maura, Powertech, assassin, and op to 50. I think that I may have played more to 50 but I probably deleted them. Anywho, I'm looking for some input on PvP and PvE viability of the classes on the Imp side. I'm not really interested in which one is the flavor of the month (FOTM); typically when I max out a FOTM class they are promptly nerfed in the next patch (remember sorc healers in PvP back when the game first went live?)! I probably wont be doing much PvE unless they have added a group finder option (I haven't researched that yet). Thank you in advance!
  12. Turbine has been flying under the radar for a long time. I doubt they have or will publish subscription numbers because they make almost all of their money off the in game store that sells and uses turbine points.
  13. Very true, until they roll out a DX11 client the F2P model will not work. LotR's F2P model would not have been a success if they had not rolled out a DX11 client first. I'm not dumping any more money into a game that looks like crap because they were to cheap to invest in a half way decent graphics engine. Any game being released in 2011 should never have been built in DX9. That was an epic failure at an even more epic level.
  14. The only thing I would change is the sustained dps. Scoundrels and ops rely to much on burst dps, and often get gimped by the lack of a decent resource recovery ability other then Pugnacity and Cool Head. Something like flurry of bolts should add additional energy each time it's used simmilar to cobra shot and steady shot does for hunters in WoW.
  15. Something really needs to be done about this. For example, if your doing your Belsavis daily's and your working on the mission where you have to kill 3 of the leaders there are only 4 spawn points for them. So, if you are working on the same missions that the other 65 people are you will be sitting around for awhile trying to complete it. Same goes for all of the Black Hole dailys. Unless you do them at 3am chances are you will be spending a lot of time either running around looking for stuff or sitting around camping for respawns. I hate to use Wow as a baseline for daily's, but why isn't there a system in place like WoW that adjusts respawn rates on everything in the zone based on how many people are in that zone and how fast quest stuff is being killed?
  16. So people such as yourself put on gear with the wrong stats and wonder why their damage is so low. Sorry, had to poke fun at you. Aim has never been and never will be a smuggler stat. It's like an assassin I grouped with one time via the group finder who had all strength gear on and did horrible damage. If your a scrapper Cunning -> Crit (to 30%) -> Surge for burst. If you do ops you want your accuracy at 110% first to compensate for the boss's defense.
  17. I use straight up scrapper with my healer companion.
  18. Only time I put any points into sedative was as a filler when I was playing scrapbones. The sedative was nice if you tranq'd a maura right before you attacked him. NKinda nice when ravage on,y does 50% of its damage. Haven't used it since switching to full scrapper. Sedative is to buggy when I'm trying to tranq'd stuff to do my daily's.
  19. We are good 30-49. Once you hit 50 it's a crapshoot on how good you will be until you get full WH gear. I was doing pretty good playing scrapbones but I ended up healing my teammates more the I was actually DPSing. I tried switching to straight up scrapper for a bit and even though my burst was ok, I found myself dying a lot. I haven't pvp'd in a couple weeks, lost interest because expertise in its current form is absolutely retarded. I have yet to figure out why the damage boost modifier against other players on it is higher then the damage reduction modifier. I can understand why the healing modifier is the lowest, prior to 1.2 my sith sorcerer healer was almost unkillable.
  20. With the changes to adrenals scoundrels burst dps is gone in PvP, which is 90% of our PvP damage and increases our overall survivability in PvP. Now it's meh, and I'm thinking more people will spec heals or more people will do a hybrid scrapbones spec.
  21. There's your reason why we'll never get fixed, the classes you referenced are the bread and butter of SWTOR and their main source of subscription revenue.
  22. With GW2's lackluster reviews I wouldn't hold your breath on GW2 taking a chunk out of any MMO population. I have been in beta for GW2 and all I can say is I am massively unimpressed with the game. The only thing that will sustain GW2 is the fact that it's free to play.
