  1. Are you seriously creating another system that revolves around RNG for rewards? I hate RNG. I hated the RNG nature of the DVL packs (30 some crystals I'll never use because I already have them, yay!). Can you least explain what will be guaranteed in the packs? For instance, will every pack drop an armor piece?
  2. I have the full armor set, 10% guild bonus, and use the general XP buff and have been doing the following: 1. Put on armor and XP buff. Open all in-mail titles which gets me to lvl 2 quickly. 2. Complete core main story on starter planet (no side missions) + usually bonus missions associated with main story missions. 3. 2 PVP missions to complete the intro missions 4. collect crafting xp 5. Then I do Flashpoints (after getting the intro mission and weekly) That process gets me to 50 in roughly 9 hours. I didn't invest in the character perks for FP bonus, because frankly I forgot and these are throwaway toons. I did pick it up with the last toon, which I am currently working on. I think I am around lvl 28 with an hour and a half in.
  3. Ha, I have you beat. I leveled all the way to 65 (via flashpoints and doing ch1-3) without putting in a single mod/enhancement.
  4. It could be a reference to the player base. In the vanilla game (1.x days), that droid (and his counterpart on the Republic ships) would not shut up while you were on the ship. It earned the ire of the players; they constantly bashed the droids on these on forums. In some patch (I think it was in 2.x, but I am too lazy to go look it up), the devs finally reduced how often they spoke (I still think they are too damn chatty after doing a few DvL characters, lol).
  5. Yes, you get 50 points for killing him or rejecting him as an Alliance companion during the Alliance alert mission. I just killed him about 30 minutes ago.
  6. That's correct. Collection unlocks are account-wide. However, I believe there is a bug where you must unlock all armor on a single character in order to unlock it in collections.
  7. As stated in the patch notes, they removed this...
  8. This was the same issue with the Holiday vendor. Remember, they added all the prior CM items to a vendor. The mounts would unlock in collections, but the armor and stuff would not unlock. It appears they have never fixed the bug, or (and what's probably more accurate), they wrote the article incorrectly, forgetting a "not".
  9. How much do you want to bet that May's rewards will be HK-inspired: - Double-bladed sword - Cannon - blaster rifle Can we get some rewards that are useful? Things like - vendor (similar to Revan statue) - craft vendor - unique armor set (e.g., Valk's) Also, please don't make them HK-inspired. I am sick of HK everything. Do something new. Please. This guy has the right idea -
  10. I just tried this. I logged in choosing one of the toons that I haven't touched since 4.0 dropped and the item recovery mails were sitting there waiting for me and the delivery timestamp was 2 mins.
  11. You will find he sometimes is buried in the walls/ceiling. Best to enable the NPC nametags and then use CTRL TAB to tab through them while looking all over the place to find him. That's how I had to find him a number of times. Also, sometimes exiting the phase and resetting it helps, too.
  12. Ha! So I haven't gone mad. I've been getting frustrated with this in 4.0 as that's when I noticed it (mostly with the exploding troopers).
  13. This has been happening for awhile now (I suspect since 4.0). For example, I can list the Roche ?Scythe? (going from memory) but you can't search for it. If you do a category lookup, you will find it though. Makes it hard to sell stuff when search doesn't work for all items.
  14. Toby - What about the feedback that these packs should not include direct-to-buy items? Honestly, that is the one reason why I haven't bought a gold armor pack, and that's because, given my RNG luck, I would totally get an armor that either I've already bought off the CM, or one that I could care less. Please help us understand why they are included and whether that will be changed going forward. As I suspect they are included because they were assigned a rating, my suggestion is to create a new rating for direct-to-buy items (platinum) and have it excluded from the bronze, silver, and gold packs. Heck, you could even then have a fourth tier for a chance to win a random direct-to-buy item (though I suspect sales of that would be low).
  15. After getting 2V-R8 back, I noticed that he is not awarded any presence. Considering I have a lot of it (all datacrons, human, etc.) I was surprised to see his presence=0.
  16. Hey Eric, we had a 20+ page thread asking why certain achievements were removed from 4.0, while others were archived. Would you mind explaining that design decision, please?
  17. Actually, they are not moving the Staged Weekly achievements (full disclosure, unless I missed a follow-up to that thread from Eric). They are removing them as well. They are archiving the NIM achievements for EV and KP. I suspect the reason is simple - they already have a tenuous relationship with RAIDers in this game and don't want to piss them off further by stripping achievements away. Now I cannot explain their disordered logic as to why that means it is okay to strip away non-raid achievements, but there you go. Classic Bioware.
  18. I don't think they handled the Makeb achievements well at all. In fact, I messaged Musco and suggested that instead of removing them, especially since affects folks that have spent the time and effort to get them (like I did with the Empire one before a guide was posted), they should move them into the archived section. No response (no surprise there). I really do not understand why raid achievements are being archived, while non-raid achievements are being removed. Nor why they pick and choose which unobtainable achievements to preserve in the game (e.g., burning trees anyone), vs. these. My litmus test is Xbox. That was the first system I played that had them (and I know they didn't create them). But have you ever seen a game on the Xbox platform remove an achievement? Nope. Are there achievements that are unobtainable now? You betcha.
  19. Yeah, I posted about these issues months ago (along with others, I certainly wasn't the first ). I even sent a private message to Eric and company after continually getting my support tickets automatically closed and received no response. I ended up stop playing a few months. Came back and it has been noticeably been better, however, I haven't been on in the last few weeks for any significant period of time. We just need to keep bringing this matter up, I guess. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=7650593
  20. Question 1 - in the stream you mentioned that all existing gear on companions will be returned to us. Are you extending the cargo bays and legacy cargo bays? Question 2 - Treek, despite her chattering, I love the little furball, especially her tank+heal combination. With the mechanic changes, will that option disappear? Please only change Treek's chattering.
  21. Eric - I totally get wanting to revamp the weekly, but I would love to understand the rationale behind removing the achievements. There are a number of achievements in the game (e.g., sharp dresser) that cannot be legitimately obtained any longer; some folks have them and some folks don't (like me who never bothered to get the Pub containment officer set). Why can these achievements not remain in the system? I earned them, so I feel that I should be able to keep them. For me, the achievement is a badge of honor (not to flaunt, but for me to say to myself that I did that) - I did the Imperial weekly without looking at a guide and it took me quite a number of weeks to get all bullets for that one achievement (same can't be said of the pub version, as I am following a guide on that now due to this thread). PS - I hope that if you are addressing the weekly, you are also addressing the other Makeb achievement issues (burning tree animals, the one champ behind a force field, etc.).
  22. Was it ever implied anywhere that the Voice doesn't age and is immortal? The fact that we know he's had at least three bodies during the game (pre-Voss body, Voss body, body Knight kills, etc.) sort of implies he goes through bodies quickly. It's entirely possible, as one other poster pointed out, the ritual on Ziost was simply used to further Vitiate's power so that he could again completely overtake a physical host. And with that power he then consumed Valkorion's body and thus influenced the twins to start the war to annihilate the Republic and Empire. Of course, why he wants them annihilated and wants to rule the galaxy instead of consuming it is anyone's guess.
  23. And yet they gave us a preview of how they could handle this with Ziost. Once you click a panel, Ziost changes entirely and you can't go back. It's possible they will do something like this. it's possible they won't. We just don't know yet.
