  1. Not saying this patch is bad it has some nice stuff, however i dont consider this patch as huge or something new either. Just a normal patch nothing more. Mostly because implementing order of the past. I mean before the expansion EC got implemented followed by tfb then EC NiM (that part of the story is over why the back paddeling?) The expansion brought again tfb... alrdy farmed this loads why more? S&V was the good part tho. However! Now they put in tfb NiM (unfortunally way to late, as it was lvl50 content before), but also S&V NiM at a later point. Which means they closing the content to make room for "real" new content (i consider new content as a new part of the story). So basicly they getting on track with implementing stuff in the right order -> New gear lvl should be new content. The next gen gear will be in new ops, unless BW is going to do something weird
  2. 1. Achievement -> Class -> Sith Warrior -> Companian Jaesa Icon: The icons of the light and dark jaesa are switched. 2. Achievement -> Possesions -> Vehicles -> Aratech Nethian: Doesn't count 3. Gear sets: Text bug of the Underworld set pieces for the Juggernaut and the marauder sets. For instance: The Marauder set on the item describes in yellow text: "Vindicator's Gear (0/10)" The Juggernaut set on the item describes in yellow text: "Weaponmaster's Gear (0/10)" They used to be the other way arround. Marauder -> Weaponmaster, Juggernaut -> Vindicator (Not sure if the arkanian items or any other set item from other classes have the same issue)
  3. * Update: * - Made some changes - Added some new stuff
  4. Well thats actually very simple Its a list of ideas / suggestions from the players side to BioWare that hopefully will be implemented in the game. Or maybe better said use the ideas to implement stuff in the game. So the priority i give to several of the ideas are based on my opinion which i think will be needed in the game. To make the game better. My opinion is based on the people that post here but most important the people i play with. As it is now there is lack of lvl50 content. PvE and PvP wise. Also the Legacy system has great potential but then you need to do something with it... Im sure more people share the same feeling
  5. Added priority colouring Basicly what is needed to improve the game is the red text. It involves more content, more different pvp, more other stuff to do and ofc bug fixes. The main reason is that people are getting bored to fast, 1 new operation in a few months just isnt enough. Also im finding the entire Legacy idea very awesome... It has alot of potential, but you have to do something with it... The other ideas/suggestions can be implement later on.
  6. Well there is so much potential in the entire legacy idea... Its just too bad that they didnt do anything with it yet. I mean a legacy tree is nice, but kinda useless... Perks r cool but you not really need legacy for it... Expand it make it Legacy usefull and something cool to have in the game But can imagine they r busy with other stuff so its easier to adjust the gbank requirements
  7. You really should change the guild design. Or atleast design something that is usefull for 2 players. I want, similar to a guild, to have a place with a shared bank etc so i can easy share items and crew skill mats etc with my friend.... So i basicly dont want other players in my guild. As we use it on our alts we still play in another guild. We both have easy acces to the bank incase the other isnt online. We also could add more alts to the guild which saves me alot of mailling all the time. But as it is now i can create a guild with the help of 2 players.... but cant buy a bank because i need 12 members :S So basicly change the guild requirements for the gbank etc. Or design something similar that is implemented within the legacy stuff. It would be awesome to not only have the same legacy name as my friend but then share the entire legacy with eachother... tree, a legacy bank etc
  8. Nice thx for the wall of text Will implement the stuff into the major list. However im not gonna copy paste all, but making a reference to yours and try to get out the main lead of the subject. Incase you make an update or something let it know. Implementation progress mourasantos post: ADAPTIVE CONVERSATION SYSTEM : Not done yet CANTINAS: Not done yet CLASSES: Not done yet COMPANIONS: Done into [Companions] JEDI TEMPLE: Not done yet FLASHPOINTS: Not done yet SPRINT ABILITY: Done into [Legacy] HOLOTERMINAL: Done into [Additional] FLEET: Not done yet HUTTBALL: Done into [PVP] WORLD BOSSES: Done (made it add history) into [Additional] GROUP FINDER: Not done yet TRAVEL: Not done yet PLAYER ROLE: Not done yet SOUND: Not done yet U.I. DESIGN: Done (more preset options, like before 1.2) into [Additional] VOICES: Done into [Additional]
  9. I can see your point. Have to say sometimes its idd fun to gather them. But i know alot of people who dont like the gathering over and over. To come half way maybe put in requirements. Something like having 4 50's gathered them and it unlocks a perk to merge. Just some random thoughts here.
  10. * Updated list * - Made title "Items" (moved related to items) - Added "Legendary" (Items) - Rated WZ gear (Items) - Arena (PVP)
  11. You've got some realy nice ideas Learning schematics: would say make it a perk, increased schem discovering Crew skill solo Flashpoints, with multiple companions: Would love this. Kotor, ME, DragonAge style Basicly another diffecuilty lvl. Normal - Solo (char lvl) - Hardmode flashpoints. A good combo with companion skill tree and a tactic menu like in DragonAge, for easy control of companions. EDIT: Updated my first post. Hopefully more ppl will post here to add stuff
  12. As i play the game for some time now and have a better overview about which things i still miss in the game to have an ultimate MMO feeling. I came up with some ideas which i think will be a great asset to the game. Priority colour list: - Red = high Priority - No colour = Normal priority - Green = Implemented *note: This is a combined list of what people posted here. Several subjects will have a reference to a different post where a better view of the subject is explained. Thanks to all who are part of this list *note: I can imagine that other people might have the same or better ideas feel free to post them here and maybe we can make a giant list. I dont have time to read all these threads so some stuff might be already posted before me. *note: Also read "mourasantos" post. There is alot of information in it. Till level 50 / Quests: - I have nothing the add at this point. Atleast no major stuff. You making the character count in the "world" and not the other way arround, because of the storyline etc. Good thing. - Minor: On most planets republic and Empire are seperated from eachother, gives the feeling that there is only 1 faction. - Section X: The Heroic 4 quest located at section X is in my opinion a really good design. The fact that you need 4 players to complete it is really nice and fun to do. You need teamwork to finish it. Would like to see more of that. However it can be made more difficuilt in sense of teamwork. Like 1 needs to click something while the others need to protect him/her for some time (something like the Operator IX boss in TFB). Level 50 PVE: - More bosses in operations. A good amount is about 10 bosses. The opreation doesnt have to be cleared in 1 night. We basicly have a week to clear it. Most guild r just not interested anymore in the older operations. - Even harder fights in operations. It needs to be that the fights in operations are hard and that it really requires gear. For example the loot from the 4 first bosses or so, making it important for the next bosses. Let the players work some time for clearing content. As it is now most just clear the new content within a week on storymode aswell as hardmode. I do like the fights in Asation but its just to easy. Chaos / unexpecting is a friend for boss fights. - The main thing i miss at level50 is the feeling that you work for something. What World of Warcraft does: It announces an "end" boss and releases content in parts till you finally are able to fight that boss. So the entire content in the mean time is there to prepare you for that fight (not only gear but also story). The players have a goal. It also gives those bosses some character/story etc. See it as a sneak-preview. "If the player doesnt know what comes then they dont miss it" What im saying, keep the players curious to let them know about that boss and that it will be there in the future. Give them the feeling that they want to defeat him. - Space battle events in operations. Not to much, maybe even optional fights. PVP: - Seperate Hutt games from warzones. - Hutt cartel capture the flag (personal favourite pvp battle, reminds me of Unreal Tournament) - Podracing: Sounds silly but something like Mariokart. A solo pvp where 8 people battle for the first price (imp and rep mixed). Fighting during a race Joining as group possible to compete against friends. - Space battles: Whats Star Wars without decent space battles? The current space part of the game just feels like a bit of a mini game rather than a core part of the action. Or even Incorporate it into a warzone, having some people flying about in space granting bonuses to the people on the ground if they do well. - "Open World" pvp such as planetary assault. For special vendors or so. - Arena fights - Rankings: Rated Warzones, good idea... However there should be something like Rankings on the website for example. Worldwide, Continental, Server. After the season the best players get rewards or somehting. Speaking of rewards, there are hardly anything usefull which you can earn/buy. Make it worthwhile to do ranked PVP Also for the podracing idea, make a competition... Inform players about what the standings are. A game within a game! *note: Seperate podracing from warzones. Also something like a specific warzone choise, but random needs to have advantages over specific. Tools - Damage meter: Ment for self usage to compare yourself with friends to see in operations where you can improve or help others to improve. (However this can be abused for PUG groups, your to low on dps and gets kicked such things) I know about thirtparty tools, but an ingame tool feels better - Gear changer: A 1 button click where you change gear + auto unify (if set). As it is now i need to click each item then unify button. And some1 asks he wanna do a flash point (instead of pvp) i can do the same thing over again. Companion - Companions: Missing alot of quests companion related. Not just for 1 but for all. Advantages of having a romance. Same gender romances. Probably more to add. - Companion: its own XP and levelup, skill tree and tactic form. DragonAge had a nice tactic menu for companions. Where you can set which skills to use on different moments. For example: "Taunt" - "Main character has agro", "Heal" - "Main character is below 50% hp", "Heal" - "Whenever its of cooldown". etc - Multiple active companions: Additional flashpoints for solo with you companion team. Attached story. etc - More companion involvement more different lines matching planets you are on. Random conversations on entering ship. "let them come to the player" instead of the other way arround (basicly like in Dragonage Origins where they come to talk about what they noticed during your adventure such as the rival romance who noticed you "chatting" to the other companion) etc. More involvement within the global and class storyline (Like the companions in Mass Effect and Dragon Age). - An Ability to controle your companion for some time to do a certain action within a quest. Looking at the H4 quest on Section X, you need 4 players to finish it... It would be nice to controle your companion to let him/her click something so that you can click yourself aswell. Legacy - Merge some perks to all legacy characters (same faction). Like the piloting perk. Maybe XP perks aswell. - Merge of codex to all legacy characters (same faction). For the main reason datacrons. I know some people hate to hunt down all the datacrons, imagine if they have 3 alts. *Note: Maybe to put in some requirements to obtain a merge codex perk. Something like needing to gather codex on atleast on 4 characters (maybe split the datacrons from the rest of the codex for this). - Perk for increased chance on schematics with Reverse Engineering. - Perk for an extra active companion. - Legacy Bank: One of the best features of the Swtor bank is the functionality of being able to use your rescources without having to put them in your inventory first. But a problem that a lot of players have is loosing track of how many rescources they have over all of their alts. This is where the Legacy bank comes in, whether it be a place where you can put your items where all characters on your legacy can see & access. Or a place where characters can deposit resources into an unlimited pool with allocated spots for each item, that can be accessed in the same way as the standard bank. - Higher level perks. Atm im legacy level 50 (who isnt anyway) but i do miss the feeling of to work for perks. It would be nice to level your legacy and reach a certain level and finally to be able to buy that awesome perk i wanted. So basicly for when you increase the level cap to 60 directly make perks for legacy level 60. - Unlock sprint ability at Legacy Level 1 instead of having it available for new players from the onset, immediately after character creation. - Legacy names: Ok this is something that im happy about, at the same time i dont like it. You made the legacy name not unique anymore. So every1 can make the same name. But i want my name to be not used by others. However I do like that you can share the name with someone. But i would have prefered that you basicly need both to agree to use the same name. Then it still makes it unique of some kind and not that i see someone who i dont know running around with my name... Items - Designs of the gear are mostly ugly. But ofc its an opinion. I do like most PVP sets but the PVE sets are just ugly. Also something different for the content would be nice aswell, not the same over and over again... Next to that missing robe types for the marauder... like the juggernaunt has or something like the supreme inquisitor robe. - Missing "Legendary" items. Items that are best in game, mostly with a bonus such as use/equip addition. Those items you need to work for. Gather alot of stuff, long questchain, very low droprate etc. Those items suppose to be very very very rare. - Rated PVP gear with the best pvp stats ingame. Rated Warzones arent realy done much because there isnt anything decent to earn. By putting in the best gear for pvp, more people will do rated warzones. Also other rewards are usefull to add such as mounts etc. I think PVP focused playes/guilds are missing the challenge, which suppose to be rated warzones. - More funny stuff and mounts: The party stuff atm is fun, but need more. Things like the Czerka Crate-o matic.Sometimes you have to wait for people in operations because they are afk, so need something to do. Pulling a prank on a friend always fun! Items like that makes wait time more fun More mounts and pets, different ones. Missing a Tauntaun mount for example. *note: Keep adding. - Armor: more different custom sets as Vendetta, Supreme, scorpion etc. *note: Keep adding. - Schematic drops (for all craft skills) of same content level from hardmode/ nightmare operations. Crafting skills seem abit outdated. Only a few things are really usefull. For example hilt/barel 26 whos gonna RE those? make a schem that drops (very rare). - Something to give your weapon(s) a name. Like "Hatred", "Punisher" etc. But then a name of your own choise. Ofc this is something with very low priority. Just that im missing these kind of cool names in the current content. Additional - Character custom shop: For changing haircuts, tattoos etc. - More Playable Races: Races such as the Nautolan, Cathar, Devaronian, Gand, Gran, Kaleesh, Kel Dor, Mon Calamari, Rodian, Togruta & Weequay to become Playable. *note: Keep adding. - Multiple voice choices: Hearing the same voice from someone from the same class & sex as you can be weird and take you out of the story, It also makes your character feel much less unique. Sometimes you create a character who really doesn't suit the voice that has been recorded. Multiple voice recordings for each class/sex would be required, or at least give the player a small amount of control over the pitch, maybe even have a different voice for each character size. Or add new voice work, period. Benefit? You sell them. Only 19, 99 for a new male/female voice pack! Easy money. Not all players will buy it, of course, but naturally, all will be able to hear these new voices. Everyone wins. - New class: Primairy stat presence, a companion class. Always 1 active companion in 4man groups, ops, wz's you name it. Like the hunter class in WoW. - Crew Skill advantages: Each craft skill with its own advantage. For example: Artifice a special hilt/ color crystal which is better then the content 1. Only 1 can be used and its bop. Synthweaving: a special augment which is better then any other, unique and only 1 can be used etc. Pretty much like you did with the rakata stuff at start, but its outdated now. - UI design: It looks atrocious ever since the 1.2 update. I'm not against allowing player customization per se, but this new one makes a mockery of even the most basic principles of design. I'm shocked it even made it past quality control in the first place, to think it's persisted as is for this long is... i don't even know what it is. Give more options for presets, like the one before patch 1.2. Or give a tool for selfdesign. - The holo-terminal on our ships used to communicate with our respective faction's leadership is constantly glowing blue, as if signaling it wants to be interacted with, even when it doesn't. Get rid of this. It should only glow blue when inter-stellar communications are warranted. At this stage, 90% of the time it does f-all beyond resetting my U.I. - Missing the emotes /cuddle and /lick... - Cartel Market, simply great idea. Just keep doing regular updates, Discounts etc. assume you already planned to do that. - Cartel coins: Maybe reward players for something they achieved. Like for PVE finishing the operation quest add coins to the rewards. Or after a season of PVP reward the first 3 or 10 (whichever you think is "fair") - Chat: The chat needs to be improved. Currently when someone whispers me and i press R to re-whisper and start typing a wall of text to answer that person, someone else whispers me... I press enter and the wall went to the wrong person... Make it so that when i press my keybind to re-whisper that it goes to the last one whispered at that time. Also if 2 players whisper me and I want to answer the first 1 with the re-whisper keybind that i easily tab to that players name... Basicly when i press R then the name of the player that whispered me last will appear in the command line example: "[To playername]:" When i press tab after the playername changes to the whisper before that if its a different player. Codex - Check for bugged codex. - Add something like rewards for certain codex. For example you gathered all Lore codex, a new title would be nice. Or you found all datacrons, a special item reward would be nice. Make them fun and rewarding to gather. - Add history. Such as codex for world bosses, background info. And not only world bosses but also alot of history from your timeline, KOTOR etc. Bug fixing - Keep fixing bugs. I mean Fix bugs... Sometimes you fix a bug, but it isnt fixed at all. Think ive seen several of the same bug fixes in the different patch notes. I recall 1 bug fix which was in 4 or 5 patch notes. Do this on weekly base for example during the maintenance, even its just 1 that you can fix at that moment then simply do so. Dont wait till you gather enough...
  13. tbh i totally dont agree with this. A MMO is succesfull if the feeling of a MMO is there. Ppl that are playing a MMO mostly want to experience the massive part. So it has deffinitly to do with server population. And so far on many servers the massive part is still missing. Whats the point of playing a MMO if the server is dead... So basicly they just started with to many servers/ or coming way to late with transfers. And thats why so many ppl found something else to do. Make the player happy by giving the MMO experience! Its quite common that you dont expect a perfectly working MMO at start. The "real" building starts after the launch. The hard part is that you need to come with content, tools etc on quicker terms because there are loads of MMO's that alrdy are advanced in that stuff. Keep the player happy by giving the advanced stuff!
  14. Ive started this threat because i dont want to mix in similar threats. Why? Because this is an issue that in my eyes is to important. Maybe even for survival of the game. Basicly the more threats about this the better, preferably the first 100 threats of the same topic Daily when I am online playing the game I get confronted with to few people playing, especially now that Diablo 3 is released (max 2-4 guildies online since and we are the top guild of endgaming on my server). Those people that are online are pretty much nothing else then complaining that they cant do the fun stuff with groups (such as Ops, PvP, flashpoints etc). They dont feel like they are playing a MMO, and ask themself why they do subscribe to a MMO if it doesnt feel like one. It brings much frustration with a result that playing isnt fun anymore. When I speak for myself its about to start aswell, its just not so much fun anymore to login. I still do but if it goes on like this then Im sure it goes wrong. When people get the feeling that it takes to long to find a solution then it grows towards "trying to avoid loging in" and simply find something else to do (like pretty much what is happening now, on many servers worldwide). People simply have no patients, especially not for MMO's, because World of Warcraft made a big example. People expect to much from a starting MMO. No one to blame, thats just how people are. I am sure that this is not just happening on my server but many (according to the forum). So ive made a small prior list which i think that BioWare needs to work on ASAP: - Keep the player happy: Sounds simple but its the hardest thing to do. To make players happy is to give them the MMO feeling they want. And atm its full servers. The advantage BioWare gains is good reputation, specificly about swtor with a result mouth-to-mouth appreciation. (for instance: Person A "thinking of playing swtor", Player "Surely do it, its a great game!") Happy players talk, but unhappy players aswell! - Server merges on very short notice (option 1, the best): Like I said above players on low populated servers get more frustrated by the day, result they simply quit. Day in Day out I am sure that people decide to quit. By doing server merges you can avoid that, make full servers with the current you have now and the suggestion above is reached (in this case). But if it takes to long then you loose those players. Winning them back is to hard, as they mostly found something else. Advantage for BioWare is that you keep the basic players happy and in time it can pretty much only grow. Dont be affraid of wasting servers as there are many options for that. Keep them incase more ppl want to play and the reduced servers are to full open up a new one. Or use servers as backup for when maintenance is happening the people can keep playing on the "same" server (24/7 availability), after that they just have to install the patch and done. Just some examples. - Transfer character on short notice (option 2, good): yes I am aware of patch 1.3, but when this patch is coming no one knows. Or give them a decent aim if its coming on short notice. Then people might think ok i can wait for that or i will return by then. They know what they can expevt, they arnt clueless. Else only put in transfer character on short notice. So that people can atleast go to a more populated server. You could do free transfers for the time being, it will have the best effect. Paid transfers people will think about it first, but of course is has good effect awell. As follow up guild transfers etc, would be nice. However this is far from the priority you have now. - No more "coming soons": Issues like this needs to get public deadlines, people want to know when/how things are gonna happen. People are patients when they know which date something comes, if no one knows they easily quit to find something else. The dead server issue is to big for uncertainty. Thank you for reading! 15. tbh from wut ive read in this thread, im aggreeing on almost all opinions... - the things you need to do while offline - importantmess of patches - the wrong patch times - the money we pay while we cant play - etc - etc Might be only 1 solution to it - Let ppl pay for actual game time instead of a monthly fee, so if your online you pay else you dont. Then i cant think of a serious reason why ppl would whine about it. And if you still do then seriouly get a back-up plan like the epic list "the thing you need to do while offline" describes or simply play something else while you cant play TOR.
