The update reset my class quest to some point earlier this week. I played the night before 1.2 and beat a long series of quests, which I no longer had credit for when I logged in. Thanks for that, BW. Maybe be more careful with the import/export next time? Not asking for anything else.
Expansion packs effectively ****-block the game from new players.
So for a 4-month old game, that cost >$100 million, I doubt it....
(Personally I hope they never release an expansion, just updates, but that's an argument of a different color.)
This is a good point, hmm.
I think there's been a couple updates since then, and I really don't see the difficulty in that one. It's like.... 1 variable.
Do they not have their code encapsulated or something?
You should've seen beta testing:
Get to level 30.... they wipe the server.
Get to level 30.... they wipe the server.
Get to level 30.... they wipe the server, and they create a special server where you can roll as a 50 out of the gate. But it's bugged half to hell because the game got confused.
Considering what a pain in the *** it is to look up any specific item in the GTN, before they implement keyword search..... I'm pretty sure that if they didn't have a suggested price, then either people would guess wildly or nobody would use the GTN at all.
I've never once had an issue with combat lag, except for the occasional hiccup, and I'm running this game on Macbook Bootcamp over a medium-tier wireless internet.
Sadly, c'est la vie.
(my two cents)
