  1. Well I guess every publisher can use that "very good excuse" to justify every buggy game they release now. Oh wait...
  2. There isn't likely to be an entirely new storyline. It sounds like both of you are already not enjoying yourselves. I just don't know that this legacy thing is going to save you is all. I would rather see you pin your hopes on other patch features/fixes *shrug*. You're not alone, in any case. I canceled inside of the first week for my own reasons, but they ultimately boiled down to the same thing (not enjoying myself). My gut feeling is legacy is "gimmicky," but I guess we'll find out soon-ish.
  3. The problem is that they have to design a never-ending game, let's call it a "rat wheel", that players can play on (and pay for) forever for gear and items, let's call that part "cheese." Eventually most people see what's behind the curtain. There's a reason single-player games end.
  4. It's your only hope for what? I wouldn't get too worked up about this feature. It's probably going to be small perks and not game-changers.
  5. I knew that space station was hiding something.
  6. Scoundrel healing is wretched with this UI.
  7. There's a reason I picked The Buggy Legacy and it doesn't involve innovation.
  8. I wish I didn't agree with much of that. I got a smuggler to 35 before I decided it was too wretched to play any longer. I'm on my 3rd toon now and still not completely feeling it. And the bugs... oh... the bugs... And the support... oh... the support... I had little confidence coming in that this game would be The Next One. It's "nice" and "pretty" but sadly I was never in any danger of being wrong about that. It may have a different dressing than WoW but it's got the same rusty rat wheel spinning at the center of it, with the same little nuggets of cheese awaiting those who will endlessly run on it. If that isn't the matrix online, I don't know what is >.> P.S. *HONK!* if you love running through gigantic spaceports!
  9. I don't necessarily think everyone who leaves TOR will be "going back to WoW." You should be scared though. What happened to DC was frightening (and they also had a dark-blue forum theme ).
  10. I'm not sure their infrastructure can even handle that. The level of phasing the server pop caps really make me wonder some things...
  11. I'll second fraps (.com). You can set the picture type to something lossless if you are a quality hound, and of course do movies. There's also a semi-configurable FPS corner overlay. I think it ran me around $20 for a paid version but I've been using it for every 3d game I've been playing for years and the upgrades are free.
  12. Well it looks like a much more balanced review anyway.
