  2. I may have forgotten to mention that removing this AC will also allow all the baddie sorc/mercs to 1v1 PTs, Sins, and Maras which should result in most of the nerf threads being dropped. As for juggs (the only AC that has yet to be mentioned) they seem to be perfectly balanced with their aoe that can crit for 5.5-7k per person and hopping around the WZ like frogs on crack and putting up top dmg numbers, I'm convinced that Jugg is in fact the real stealth class as it almost entirely escapes notice. Once scoundrel/op AC is removed, they can reroll Jugg and dominate from the "shadows" and enjoy their new perfectly balanced dmg.
  3. The only reason tankasins do 300k dmg and other tank classes do 150k dmg is because almost all tankasins wear dps gear. PT tanks in dps gear do nearly identical numbers. Jugg tanks perhaps not as much. But everyone in those acs who wears dps gear just goes for the monstrous dmg (to stay in line with the original estimates Pyrotech would do 450-500k dmg, rage jugg 400-450k dmg) of the dps specs. Also as tankasins are basically the only surviving guard since 1.2 we make great healer buddies and as such are frequently pocketed. The longevity provided by a pocket pads our dmg numbers significantly. Believe me a tankasin in full tank pvp gear will put up that 150k dmg you say tank specs put out.
  4. Fine then deception and madness need to be brought in line with other dps specs, aka buffed. (and no joke I havent seen a dps scoundrel or op in pvp in weeks on my server)
  5. You are all correct. I give up. I've actually never died in pvp. Recently I've gotten bored so I've begun paying my teammates to drop out of wz's so I could just 1v8 the other team. The recent fix has spoiled my fun though. Seriously everyone reroll a shadow/sin then come back and talk opness. If this class is nerfed it will become the 2nd ghost AC after scoundrel/op, only we won't have 1 strong tree to fall back on. Kinetic is our fallback tree, if that is taken we'll have nothing left. Every shadow/sin knows it and if you'd played the class/weren't a baddie you'd know it too. Viable in pvp isn't the same as op.
  6. The main reason you don't see guardians or PT tanks in dps gear isn't because they wouldn't be similar to shadows as the same, it's because their dps trees are too tempting to resist. Buff 1 or both (preferably infiltration as it is garbage) dps trees and you'd stop seeing so many tank specced shadows, and stop hearing so much QQ about how OP they are. Most of what makes people think we are OP is 2 things, you are trying to do something other than weapon dmg to us while we are shiny gold or silver, and you are not using cc on us while we are casting TK throw/force lightning. Much like saving a cc for a mara's undying rage on us it's for the cast. P.S. if we have a pocket healer we kick *** P.P.S. what class doesn't
  7. A very enlightened post by one, Gillybear, really struck home with me, and I'm willing to do him one better. So long as the AC scoundrel/operative remains in the game I will consider it to be OP. Even though every single dps scoundrel/op on my server has either quit the game or rerolled, I suspect that this AC still lurks on other servers. They are OP and this entire AC should be removed and the healing tree should become a sniper spec, only then will scoundrel/op be balanced in this game. Constructive feedback only please. Jack
  8. Seems to me there is already a game with a huge population and cross server queues and yet That Game does not nor has ever had solo rated bgs. If it was Easy don't you think they'd have done it? Even if it was the only thing this game will ever have that That Game does not is storyline cutscenes and conversation.
  9. Look we'd all be happier (i should hope anyway) with fewer facerolls. I would almost rather be face rolled than do the rolling but either way it's incredibly boring and frustrating. If you can make a multiplayer game where pugging delivers consistently balanced and competitive matches I can guarantee that you'll have the best selling videogame of all time. I want your fantasyland to come true, but for now group up and encourage others to do the same, it's the more realistic path to balanced pvp.

This is all fine and dandy, but with tiny things like sound bugs from 1.2 still not fixed, and the fact that one of the MAJOR features of 1.2 is augment slots, what made you think that not only 1 but 2 separate ranking systems, appropriate ranked gear And cross server queues would be coming out in 1.3? Might as well wish for an armory, dual spec, new races, a new class, betrayal quest lines, a couple new ops, fps, wz's and arenas. Many of these things may one day show up in this game but certainly not 1.3.
  11. I think You may need to reread some of the posts . Mostly I've seen qqing about gear issues and people wanting a free ride. That being said if there were a solo ranked bracket completely separate from the 8m bracket that would be pretty cool, however I never felt this was promised nor did I expect bw to deliver it anytime soon. They are barely keeping up with what they have going now. And even with larger servers coming, we'd have to have some seriously thriving communities to sustain unranked, ranked solo and ranked 8m queues. Ultimately 1 of those 3 would suffer, most likely the unranked. What would be the incentive to play unranked at that point? I like the idea of being able to solo queue and know you are playing with semi competent people, but there are a lot of things I think would be cool in this game that simply aren't going to happen or are quite a ways off. Hell I won't be convinced that ranked wz's or server xfers are actually coming until I log in on 1.3 release and see them with muly own eyes. People need to stop looking for a savior patch and accept what's coming or unsub.
  12. I can't see why people are complaining about this, if you are a casual or a solo player you can just do unranked. Much like pve casuals and puggers don't do HM or NMM's. Highest levels of content are experienced in groups, if you don't like this why are you playing an mmo? Also why would you pug ranked people are going to hate you and freak out since you won't be in voice chat to coordinate strategies or instant callouts. In my mind Bioware is doing puggers a favor. Unranked are going to be a much more friendly place without all us grouchy premaders. And if you're really an amazing player people are going to notice and invite you to guilds or pre mades. If teamwork isn't your style that's cool just solo q unranked you'll be happier for it.

    On the fatman very few lowbies actually have 50's as they are almost all rerolls. Anyone that plays on fatman knows this. Since Republic dominate this server in 50 pvp, I would guess that this was an op designed for ganking instead of continually losing in pre-mades. And where better to insure victory than players half your level. Merely speculation on my part of course.

  17. Even when expertise isn't a factor we don't have enough survival tools, including defensive cd's, and with our max range of 10m we are crazy kiteable. Full resolve never helps us because if youve been cced enough to get a white bar then you're going to die in that time span. Now some people think infil is really fun and if you're on a good team with a healer or a tank guarding you with some other heavy dps to take the spotlight off you're going to have fun, but really what class isn't that true with. Just make sure you pick your fights carefully, gang up on weak or focused targets and **** as soon as people get annoyed with you and you'll do fine. Don't 1v1 without all CDs up and even then if the other player is competent and you don't have much gear prepare to lose a lot.N As infil you aren't a hero class you're a shady ninja that uses annoyance and tricks to be effective. If you're playing against bads you're going to have a blast free bursting people. If you're playing against a good team or a single dps PT/vanguard you're going to die... A lot.
  18. It's that you get blown apart. Being a clothey melee with no utility is no fun. The burst can be good with gear but you're going to get double destroyed in recruit gear.

  20. Xin I'm curious about your 0/13/28 build. What periodic ability are you using that's consuming Force Supression charges? Edit- NVM I get it now it's just that you need the 2 points to reach mental scarring.
  21. One of the biggest keys to winning a fight especially 1v1 with shadows is to save your cc's for our one hard cast. The fights I lose are because I don't get to cast TK throw. As a jugg you can choke one of them, push another, and aoe mezz a third. And if I'm casting one protected by resilience take the opportunity to cast master strike since you know I won't be moving. As a side note PT/ Vanguard and Guard/jugg in tank spec but dps gear aren't seen as much or talked about is because they have viable pvp dps classes. The shadow dps in pvp is garbage as we are squishier than anything but a sorc/sage but are melee and so are in the heart of dmg. As shadows we spec into any utility in the tank tree, but unlike the other tank ac's we are left in the cold otherwise. The main reason we win is because people let us free cast and they waste large abilities or cc's while we are glowing gold (resilience) which is on a 45 second cd and lasts for 5 seconds. Use weapon dmg attacks during Resilience and cc my TK throws early, and you just may win , depending on the skill discrepancy obviously. GL and to all haters at least have the decency to A. Not spread lies about our capabilities and B. at least call for DPS tree buffs if you insist on calling for NERFS. There is a reason all Shadows in pvp are kinetic specced. Believe me most of us rolled to play a stealth burst class.

  23. A sentinel with biochem and a skilled pocket healer, not surprised. As far as other classes capable of this...dps PT's. They routinely double the dmg of other ac's on my server. They've done 800k. Also the 800k isn't possible unless you have good healers and a tank which I assume you do. If people die too fast with spawn times and runbacks 800k won't work. The fact that you guys have a competent team is providing them with the opportunity to put out crazy numbers. But you need more dps on his pocket. Find yourself an OP PT to pressure that healer. And keep in mind this guy is really good. Sents/maras are OP, but only in the hands of highly skilled players, which doesn't really merit a nerf.
  24. Even the people that aren't having problems, it has to do with the keybinds you're using and such. But cover simply Does Not work the way it did pre 1.2.2. It used to very easy to use. Now it's easy to end up standing up with the screen up but no cover bar. And hard cover is iffier than it was before. Seeing as how it hasn't even been acknowledged this time, I'd suggest getting used to this new albeit inferior style of cover, or playing different toons.
  25. You can't interrupt force lightning/ TK throw except with a kb or cc. Also sage/sorc has Force Slow which I almost never see them use. I have 1 move I can use over 10m and it's on a 45 sec cd. Another thing, if a dps sorc is kiting me all over the world while still dropping aoes in between off healing themselves, then their team is most likely winning since you should be kiting me away from objectives.
