  1. it's not just the companions that bug out in cutscenes. Anyone that has tried playing the old origin stories must have seen, for example, the imperial agent pull out their invisible rifle right? being able to choose combat styles as you want has broken the old class cutscenes completely. Sometimes my Gunslinger agent pulls out her pistol, because the agent does have a pistol sidearm in the story, but when you don't have a rifle main weapon, it just breaks. I wish they would redo these scenes with all possible combat styles. I know it's a lot of work, but I'd love it at least.
  2. a LS Jaesa would only return for a LS warrior, just like the DS Jaesa returns for a DS warrior now. she is a returning character right? in update 5.10? and can we talk about these update numbers for a second? a little off topic I know but there is no such thing as 5.10, 5.10 = 5.1, just with 2 digits. there is 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 and so on and so on and then there is 6.0 so if you are going to make an update like this before a new expansion, call it 5.91 5.92 etc. 5.10 doesn't exist unless its the same as 5.1
  3. Game play > lore / Story / mechanics Game play should always be prioritized over any story or lore element simply because: this is a game and it needs things like balance so we on't wait hours or days because 90% of the population rolls Empire because its cooler (it is by the way).
  4. during my playthrough on my powertech, in chapter 8 or 9 of the last expansion, I click on one of my alliance troops and after that, when ever I tab targeted to an enemy, after it was dead it switched back to this 1 ally no matter how far away I was, I tried logging out and back in.. didn't work, it auto targets the ally the minute I log in, I tried logging off the game completely and it still doesn't work. I auto target the alliance unit. it has never done this before, it's very annoying.
  5. such a shame.. I have 14 characters on TOFN all 50+ .. what a waste.. I hope we get free transfers if they plan to shut it down.
  6. because bioware decided to put them in, thats why. As explained, they didn't want the mirrors to be the same. it would be more silly if troopers used blaster pistols wouldn't it? <-- answer that question before arguing further. What makes Boba Fett the icon for every bounty hunter anyway? you hardly ever see him in the movies. and the books aren't canon anymore, so that has been erased. the scenes he's in can be counted on 1 hand, unless you count the prequals in which case he's a little kid. Jango, whom the class is based on did so much more than Boba ever did for the empire. without him, there was no clone army. he assassinated all the decoys of amidala successfully, it's not his fault it wasn't her. he kicked Obi-wans *** 1v1. I did write this long text about all the 5 scenes you see Boba fett in, but honestly, anyone that has seen star wars remembers: 1: Vader's star destroyer, 2: Cloud City, 3: Jabba's palace 4: Jabba's barge where he died, killed by a blind man and yes he did die, since all the books and all that aren't canon anymore. I don't get why people wanna be Boba Fett, I honestly don't. I think people complain simply to do so and not because they don't get what they want. when entering any sort of business, the first thing you should know is that you cannot please everyone. no matter what you do, there is always some butthurt soul out there that thinks that what you are doing is wrong. you just live with it and move on. If you try to please everyone, you will fail and end up pleasing no one in the end. Edit: honestly, I wouldn't care if Bounty hunters got rifles or not, so long as their core gameplay didn't change. But how would that change mercenary? you can't have one AC using rifles and the other Pistols, thats stupid. I know sniper uses sniper rifles and operatives rifles, but at least they are both rifles of some sort.
  7. yes, lets just destroy the core gameplay of every class completely and utterly. As if EAware isn't screwing up the game enough as it is. I wish people would stop with this Boba Fett nonsense. The Bounty hunter class is based on Jango Fett. the juggern aut is based on Vader, the sorcerer on Sidious and so on. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is why agents use a rifle. But I understand it. they didn't want the mirror classes to have the same weapons. this is why the vanguard uses a rifle and the powertech uses a pistol. maybe it makes more sense that the agent uses a pistol until he spec into the sniper, in which case he gets a sniper rifle and the bounty hunter then in turn uses a pistol, but for the sake of game play they chose not to make the class mirrors the same. gameplay will always be prioritized above lore or fantasy. if you want to be a cloth wearing rifle shooting force lightning shooting hybrid, go play Elder Scolls online. in that game you can be everything at once if you so desire, this game is not for you. There is a reason the game has limits. Option 2: Or you can go play Knights of the old republic, where you can in fact be a jedi with a blaster rifle if you so wish.
  8. How to fix PvP without breaking PvE 1.0.1: Give classes a separate PvP talent tree with abilities and feats only usable in a Warzone or "arena". I know this will be like copying what they are doing in WoW for Legion but it's really a no brainer and should have been done 10 years ago in WoW and 4 years ago in SWTOR.
  9. I hope you plan to extend the event to 1 week from the day you fixed it. I CBA to wait to get what I want until the next plague event just because you people can't fix your game. aren't these thing properly tested before being implemented or something?
  10. you need to be convinced to roll the most OP class of all times in the game? There was no point from SWTOR 1.0 up to 4.0.3 that Sentinel / Marauder wasn't the top dps class. They have always been the highest dps class because all other classes receive nerf when they compete with this class. this is Bioware's baby, no other class must be as good or better than Sentinel / marauder. Evidence of this is the current patch nerf to Sniper / gunslinger. they were as good and in some fights slightly better than the Sentinel/Marauder and they were punished so hard for it and are now the rock bottom feeders of the dps community. and you need convincing? *facepalm* however. imo. sentinel/marauder game play isn't as fun as guardian/juggernaut imo. I like force push, you dont get that as sentinel

After recent patch I would most certainly not pick sniper or Sorcerer or Powertech or... or.. the answer is and most likely always will be "marauder". because Bioware loves marauders/sentinels and never nerfs them. Snipers were preforming on par with Marauders and they got the nerf bat this patch and are now the worst viable dps out there. I said viable, dps Operative isn't viable in PvE, it never has been. So as a whole, the Agent and smuggler classes now preform the worst of them all.
  12. they should have been playing AP, which was also nerfed because everyone and their mothers were whining about it. I haven't played tank spec in dps gear since we were allowed to be a hybrid spec, back then I played Shinarika's assassin spec
  13. like the person above me says. the default button for "roll into cover" is "F". go into keybindings and switch this to "take cover in place" instead, unbinding that one and you no longer roll. If you wish to use both, you can have roll into cover on Shift+F or something.
  14. this... I don't understand this at all. at this rate I can't kill my infernal council target from lack of dps! I was having a hard time in low gear, having to switch to dps gear while doing this and now you are making us worse?
  15. I guess OP got his wish. *sad face* Now both my classes are nerfed. What is the point of nerfing firestorm? it's a tanking offensive ability, who cares if it hits somewhat hard? we are suppose to use it to hold aggro for god sake. curse who ever whined about it being OP. If these changes are not rolled back in the next patch after this, I will not be renewing my sub. I refuse to play melee classes! I just geared up my sniper too. sad times

Submitted a bug report 5 minutes ago: during "Seeds of Dread" mission on Oricon, the Corrupted Elder Subtheroth managed to knock me out of cover with Entrench active. please for the love of god fix this. Entrench is suppose to make you immune to push backs, interrupts and everything, it's currently **** as it doesn't do this.
  17. I believe Arthas' Horse is called Invincible But.. on topic: I'm glad to see that the knock back while entrenched/hunker down is a bug, it has existed for a very very long time. I do believe you should be immovable while in Entrench. Otherwise, what is the point?
  18. you just can't even what? are you having problems expressing yourself? Virulence like pyro is a DoT spec. it suits the operative so much better than it does the sniper. Marksman really brings out the feel of being a sniper, Virulence doesn't, it never has and this is not a subject of taste, it is a fact. a sniper doesn't use poison grenades, he blasts his targets dead, same as a Sharpshooter would. I'm sorry you can't see why I want the iconic spec to be the best, that is your loss. what I'm trying to say is that the iconic spec should be the strongest. that is my opinion. As for Pyro, I do like that better than AP, but that topic belongs in the Powertech forum. every AC breakdown and the spec I envision to be the perfect strongest spec: Sniper/Gunslinger: Marksman/Sharpshooter. Reason: it fits the class better because as discussed above. Virulence is a poisoner spec and much better suits the operative Operative/Scoundrel: both Concealment and Virulence would work here Powertech / Vanguard: Both AP and Pyro fit, maybe pyro slightly more given than so many bounty hunters use flamethrowers Mercenary / Commando: Arsenal / Gunnery Marauder/sentinel: Not really sure about this. Sorcerer / Sage: lightning / Telekineses, well, obviously. Assassin / shadow: Deception/infiltration, again, obvious Juggernaut/Guardian: Rage. If not tank, then I think rage fits best here. I don't know all the republic discipline names, so I've not included them all here.
  19. always hated this spec. one spec will always be strongest and one will always be weakest and if I may be honest, this "ranged rogue" spec is dull and boring and I don't mind it getting the short end of the stick this time around. the class is called a "sniper" and a "gunslinger" making Marksman and Sharpshooter the ideal spec to be the best. leave them be! I dont care if they buff this, so long as they dont make this better than Marksman. I use to main a sniper and I remember when this was the strongest spec. I hated playing my sniper as I didn't feel like a sniper playing this. I felt like a poisoner, a ranged rogue, to use the WoW term. To each their own of course but I strongly am against Marksman nerf of any kind. what you do with this is of no importance to me so long as it will never ever be stronger than the true sniper / gunslinger spec (MM/SS). Engineering is effective for leveling, not bad on the fun side as well.

Priority system: Blazing bolts > rail shot (with 5 tracer lock buffs) > tracer missle (because it procs blazing bolts) > heartseeker missle (with tracer missle debuff on the target). just remember that even if rail shot is second highest, it's only good after 5 tracer lock bufs so fire tracer missles until you have 5 before rail shot is fired. However, if tracer missle proccs blazing bolts, always fire these off on CD/procc. the fillers are given, electro net is pretty good, so use that on CD when filler is required. and of course tracer missle filler because it procs blazing bolts. you should rarely, if ever use rapid shots ("auto attack")
  21. well, they are very different, it depends on what you want. a sniper is a ranged dps only, second only to Marauder on dps meters. assassin can be a tank or a melee dps. so play what you would prefer. If you are asking which story is more boring and therefore better to skip.. the assassin is your answer imo. but to each their own. I love the agent story. I used my token on a Mercenary. You do get a default spec and default crew skills, for the mercenary you start with arsenal. I assume a sniper would get armormech or arms tech while an assassin would get artifice or synthweaving.
  22. I'm not. I'm just reporting the bug, like everyone should have done. if credits are your big concern by wiping, considering how easily they are to come by, then maybe you should stay away from PuGs. I don't PuG now because of the human aspect of it. a PuG is more likely to have rage quitting elitists in it than your selective group made up of guildies. I hate elitists, I despise them in fact. I don't care about credits, I have enough to do around. they should fix all the bugs and not be selective. this goes for the missing teleport thing for the "false history" mission. Oh and... if it was intended that people shouldn't get repair bills anymore, it would be this way for everyone. if you read the replies in this thread, some people have the opposite bug where their lowbies dont have repair bills but their max level ones do and one had the bug where it switch between working and not working. so this is in fact a bug.
  23. this bug has been there since 4.0, they should fix this soon imo. you just have to travel to one of the others first, do that one, then QT to where False history is. another thing is that False History is almost impossible to solo, there are way too many panels to press for 1 person, the gas almost always kills you, there are a few people that made it. all the others can be done solo with no problems.
  24. if you don't have time to watch the cut scenes, you don't have time to do the Flash point / Operation. people that impatiently rage about spacebar'ing it are people that quickly wanna run through content, meaning they don't have time for wipes and that sort of thing either. to them I say "please leave, I don't want you here, you are not welcome". It is ok if you ask if people can space it, I have done that too, but if they say no, I expect you to accept that or leave.
