  1. 1. For PvE I think that others believe vanguard is one of the best tanks. For PvP I think it is seen as the worst tank. Low dps and not as much survivability as the others. For PvE dps: Not really wanted but ok. For PvP: Assault spec maybe best dps in game 2. For PvE: Great tank. Really enjoy it. For PvP: I use to be shield spec and then it got crushed in 1.3. I went from 150k damage and 100k protection. To 85 to 100k damage and 100k prot. Eventually I just gave up and switched to tactics since you get +20% stun dam prot and hold the line is great for huttball. I'm still a tank and my dam went to around 160k-180k and 120k prot with healer. It may look better on the scorecard but the shield spec throws off lots of debuffs that my new toon just doesn't have. I'm very disappointed since I spent all this time trying to get war hero supercommando armor and now that I have it, it seems like vanguard is only really a dps class. I currently have 5 50 lvl toons. A vanguard tank, healer sage, healer scoundrel, dps sent, tank assassin. I also have a lvl 38 sith warrior tank. After 1.3 my vanguard tank went from my favorite pvp class to my least favorite. I'm slowly turning him into a dps and have bought two war hero pieces. In the future it would be nice if I could just trade in gear if an advanced class is getting a major overhaul like the free respecs.
  2. I really like SWTOR and Bioware. I currently have 6 toons with the min valor of 28 and the max 74. When ranked wz weren't in 1.2 it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was still excited with the new wz. Sadly there is nothing in 1.3 that is getting me excited. I can see how augments will extend crafting in end game but mostly it just more money and resources to spend. The new skins for armor will be nice but not worth a sub fee. I bought a 6 month sub and it will end in Aug so I'm hoping for something big soon to extend the life of SWTOR. There are three things I like about legacy. One you can send mail across faction. Two you get buffs and heroic moment abilities. Three you can buy those droid parts that make your crew skills much better. Otherwise - "Luke I am your father . . . and I'm not giving you 4.5 million cr for rocket boots." "Noooooooo. How about 5mil for the gtn?"
  3. The /getdown bug was hilarious. By far my favorite bug. Wish they would make a heroic where you could distract the boss with a little dancing.

  5. Just got the general feeling that uniqueness in crafting was coming to an end with the aug tables. I've seen that people need to buy the aug kits from crafters. End game crafting was non existent before the orange aug crits so I guess I'm thankful for that. It feels like armormech is just a skin maker plus augs.

  8. Any plans to improve crafting for dedicated crafters? It seems like getting to 400 and re recipes is really easy. I've already got armormech, cybertech and biochem to 400. I've heard that you are going to make re purple items even easier which seems to imply that purples are not going to be rare. Any thought to making another lvl in crafting? Also armstech needs a major boost endgame. Making the ilum vendor sell the purple barrel for 8 daily coms just killed that profession. As a crafter I want to be able to make goods for other players so having improvements in just BOP items wouldn't be that great. Thank you for your time.
  9. Armormech doesn't seem to have a very bright future now that I'm 50. During the lvling up it was pretty good as a could have one or two orange pieces and keep those up to date and then have my blue crafted armor to keep me geared. Now I use it to gear up my alts and their companions. Even with the debuff to biochem it is still a much better crew skill to pick up. It is nice that they are buffing the rakata armor, but I've heard that oranges might get an aug slot. If this happens armor and syth are just going to be that much worse.
  10. Don't think crafters are elite at all in this game. With the exception of Biochem most crafters don't really make anything of real value endgame. Mostly it will help you lvl and maybe give a boost to start raiding or hard flash points. The lvl 49 equip is pretty much useless right now as part of the crafting economy. I can make a lvl 40 purple and sell it for about the same profit as a lvl 49 on my server. I'm an armormech. Re the enforcer boots to superior cost me about 80 iron. Don't see anyway to make that type of money back. Can't sell a superior for 90k given that it takes 8 iron. I doubt anyone would pay for master to make up for the cost of superior. Just kinda disappointed all around with crafting in this game. If you put in the time there should be some type of reward at the end. My character makes his money selling mats and slicing.
