  1. I would like more slots for my casino room, if not just for the diversity on the floor. I still think that they could add companion gifts, 1-3 slot tokens (instead of 1), more than 1 vehicle and maybe random crafting mats instead of jawa junk (weighted towards lower tier).
  2. Not to mention they could also have added other win options such as 1-3 coins returned, companion gifts, 5-6 mounts at present hard to get levels, 10-12 stronghold items at a hard to get level, etc. That would have served to reduce the amount of crafting materials as well while giving people reason to continue to play. As it stands there just isn't much reason to play, especially after you get the faction mounts.
  3. You guys do know that by complaining that the cap is to low they (EA/Bioware) are going to take that as you are getting to many commendations right?
  4. So people can spend months playing on PTS and say the game is dull and boring when it goes live.
  5. You can buy any level of mod on Fleet at the planetary comm vendors.
  6. Please add cross faction legacy characters to the auto-fill addressee section of in-game mail. Also, maybe adding the ability to friend across factions would also help. Now that so many people are using special characters in names, it would make it a whole lot easier to send mail to friends.
  7. Personally, I'd rather wait until after they have reliable automated character transfers between servers before they try and do server merges. I would think that one of those would be needed for the other. Since the pacific transfers were all done manual and took a week or so, it would likely take them until Summer to complete a full merge of 25% of the servers... so if they wait until they have the other done first, it'll be more reliable and faster. Just saying... Also, for all the people who think that the programmers just wave their wands and magic code appears, it doesn't. It takes time, requires multiple departments working together, and most importantly planning and preparation.
  8. I recall paying $9.95/hour for Gemstone II on Genie. That didn't include phone charges and the Genie subscription charges. I think $15/month is a much better deal.
  9. Because they want to avoid people doing this, being helpless as a result, and then whining that their character is underpowered.
  10. I'm not sure you know what an MMO is. It is a massively multiplayer online game. In the case of SWTOR it is a MMORPG massively multiplayer online role playing game. What is necessary to qualify as an MMO you ask? The world must be persistant, it must support a lot of player on a single shard, and the ability for those players to form some sort of team to accomplish quests/missions. An MMORPG generally needs some sort of central storyline too, which this also provides. Anything else... PVP, Crafting, Raiding, etc... are features which a game can have or not have. City of Heroes is an MMO and it started it's life without PVP, Crafting or Raiding. These were added in later issues of the game.
  11. Not everybody. I expected a persistent sequel to KOTOR with regular updates and the ability to play with my real-life friends (something lacking from KOTOR). So they are giving me exactly what I expected. I'm sorry that the PVP and raiding crowd are unhappy but I've found that to be generally the case with them. For my part I am happy with what I have and am seeing coming up.
  12. Gemstone IV yes, from time to time. City of Heroes, yes, from time to time. Dungeons & Dragons, yes, from time to time. Lord of the Rings Online, yes often (am lifetime) Star Wars Online, haven't left - if I did, would probably come back from time to time.
  13. It doesn't change the fact that this is, in essence, a thread about delaying bug fixes rather than quickly deploying bug fixes. You can try and insult me all that you want, but facts are fact. The OP wants them to delay fixes. Bugs get missed by QA departments regardless of how long they spend testing products. If Bioware were like Microsoft or Oracle or Sun or Apple they would just said, We'll fix it when we fix it and you'll get it in a patch or service pack in a few months. I'd rather have Bioware's bugfix timetable over most other companies.
  14. I'm not sure why anyone would spend time doing dailies for these. I get the inheritance kits in treasure hunting lockboxes from time to time. For an alt, they are really awesome gear at level and good enough for 10 or so levels before replacing them. No, they don't make your 50 uber, but they do help alts.
  15. I think this is a funny thread. It is a thread against fast and timely fixes to critical issues. Just the other day someone else had a thread wihch said that Bioware didn't fix critical things fast enough. So basically, what the OP is saying is that Bioware can't win either way. People complain about persistent bugs... people complain about bug fixes... so basically, people just complain regardless.
  16. Balance is an unattainable myth where there are more than one type of character and/or player. For you I suppose, not for me, Tis a good thing that I don't PVP. Not unlike every other game, there are problems here and there. I guess the weekly patches and fixes don't fit this criteria. Oh wait... they do.
  17. One of my biggest complaints about KOTOR1 & 2 was that I could not get together with my real-life friends and play it like we did Neverwinter Nights. This game solves that problem and we're happy. It is definately a vast improvement over the "You must gather your party before venturing forth." of early Bioware products. Is there room for improvement? Yes. Has the game improved since launch? Also yes. Do I expect that the game will continue to improve or evolve? Also yes. Do I expect I'll be happy with all the changes? Probably not, but so far the positives have outweighed the negatives. Some people want them to focus on and revise the PVP game. I want them to focus and expand on the PVE experience. I am pretty sure they are two different development teams, so they can do both at the same time. There are more opinions than there are people on the Internet, so it's really impossible to please everyone. This game does a good job of pleasing me and I still have plenty of the game to see and explore.
