  1. I explained this problem to Customer Support on the first day of transfers! They acted like they didn't understand the bug and told me I was stuck with "My error" even though it was "their error". I have quit SWTOR since and havent logged in. But this thread gives me hope that maybe if I re-open the ticket I can get my character names in the correct order. It pissed me off honestly. There is another bug where it says I have 8 characters already on Jung Ma, but I only have 7. So I can't transfer my 8th character from Ven Zallow to Jung Ma. *AGGRAVATING* I feel like even opening a ticket for this is futile with my past experience with CSR.
  2. -SERVER MERGES #1 PRIORITY -Space combat content upgrades.(co-op on or off rails, more solo pve missions, off rails PvP) #2 PRIORITY. -Solid looking for group(LFG) tool that works like the warzone que. Aka easy as clicking on "I want to do these flashpoints, find me a group and take me there". (Would be #2 except I have a decent guild that allows me to enjoy the flashpoints, operations. I feel others peoples pain though). #3 PRIORITY -Achievment/Trophy System #4 PRIORITY (GIVE US SOMETHING TO DO BESIDES DAILIES!) -Story Driven in game events at least every three months with cool rewards and activities #5 PRIORITY (They are fun) -New Flashpoints/Operations at least every 3 months. #6 PRIORITY (although there are still some I have never done) -New PvP Warzones #7 Priority (Self Explanatory, PvP is a bit lacking on variety; I don't care about rankings) -Seperate the PvP abilities/balances with the PvE abilities/balancing. I think it would make a healthier game (Bioware should remake all new abilities for PvP because its kind of wacky as it is now with all the stuns, etc etc). #8 PRIORITY -New planets/Level Cap increases #9 PRIORITY (Even if it's in an expansion, although it better be good if they charge more money). -Open World PvP #10 Priority (THIS IS ALOT OF FUN WHEN IT HAPPENS!)
  3. I think they should merge all the RP-PvP servers into two, merge the PvP servers into 10, merge the pve servers into 10, merge the rp-pve servers into two, 24 servers seems about right for healthy online populations. It might get crowded on expansion patch days, or big event days; but its better then what we have now.
  4. I hope it goes something like this 1.3: LFG and SERVER MERGES - Legacy Additions 1.4: Space Combat Upgrade - Ranked Warzones 1.5: Achievements - New Warzones - New Operations 1.6: Story Expansion - Level Cap Increase
  5. I agree with you. I have leveled many 50's and I have never "outleveled" the planets except for the beginning. You would have to do every quest and every Heroic quest to break even. Most of the time I have to grind mobs to catch up to the quest levels. Or do the planet Bonus Series quests. The people who sayquests give too much XP must be talking about the first ten levels. Which means they are not very qualified to be making those opinions since they have probably never gotten past level 30.
  6. My only complaint is that they didn't prioritize this issue sooner. I started playing two months ago and it's been a steady exodus of players from the game. My server went from like 50 people on fleet to like 20 people on fleet during primetime which is pathetic to begin with. The planets are even more barren of players. This is all within just a few months. The game itself is not even a year old That is a serious problem. One that they are just recently taking any priority on fixing. The sad part is the leaders of the Bioware team will not have any responsibility, we all paid a lot of money between all 1.5 million of us and they have probably made their investment back. Which makes them just wash their hands with the whole thing and continue on as usual. If they had passion about the game and its community, they would have done something a whole lot sooner by watching the population metrics on each of the servers, instead of the dollar amount from them all combined. They STILL will not commit to server merges, and instead are talking about "transfers" which is just going to put us back to square one. There needs to be less servers until the population can give each one of them a healthy online population.
  7. Hopefully next week. I would put money they are pushing hard for "The end of May". They must have prioritized the server population issue a long time ago, so I have a hunch that they are already knee deep into the group finder. Even if they sacrifice alot of the stuff they may want to include in 1.3 beyond the Legacy stuff.
  8. It's not just you. When there are only 200 people on each server, spread out over more then a dozen planets, it's impossible for there to be a community or thriving world. Supposedly there are character transfers coming that will try and consolidate the servers, but Bioware really needs to lower the number of servers by merging one's we already have together. Until then we are going to bleed subscribers. I have started to look at other games coming out (Diablo 3). When they release the Space Combat upgrades I will be back. Until then I will ride out my free 30 days.
  9. I loved Dragon Age Origins AND Dragon Age 2. My only complaint against DA2 was that the whole game took place in one city, and the zones all looked very similar. I still enjoyed the story, and I even thought the graphics were more my style. The combat system was also revamped to be more console friendly which I appreciated being that I owned a PS3 copy.
  10. -Dragon Age series is actually my favorite RPG and my most anticipated upcoming title is obvioously Dragon Age 3. -I subscribe to SWTOR in the meantime. So I am torn, they are helping develop the game I currently play and enjoy; and on the other hand are delaying the title I am most looking forward to. Either way I can't lose, but I could be winning if Dragon Age 3 was released sooner then maybe it will be now. I suspect they are probably working on a new storyline content upgrade.
  11. -Server merges down to about half of what we have now. -Flashpoint and Operations group finder (eventually one for Heroics too). -1.3 Legacy additions listed on Legacy page. -New space missions. -Reduction in legacy costs. -Account wide Datacron's so we don't have to collect them for every character. -Some more perks for collecting codex's. -Alternate ways to collect high end schematics that doesn't always revolve around drops in Ops or World Bosses (Solo players should have a means to grind schematics). -GTN refinement. -Set bonus's for crafted gear. -More RE'd items. -New Warzone (Im not sold on PvP yet, I mostly PvE). -Ways to make PvP servers have more open world PvP encounters.
  12. I love the game. I can see myself playing for awhile. But I definatly sense the unease in the community. Server population is such a blaring issue and Bioware has been totally incompetent in dealing with it. They have only recently acknowledged it, like it hurt their pride. And I am not satisfied that the transfers are going to solve the problems. The common sense solution is to merge the servers together. Which seems to be something Bioware does not want to commit to. Probably because it would be alot of work and cause all kinds of Legacy or whatever related issues. But in the end, its their problem, not our problem. And they have to do what it necessary to solve it. Or me and many others will get tired of the MMORPG with no MMO. I am looking forward to seeing what content gets released though, especially related to Space combat.
  13. The planet with the Ewoks, with the huge trees. The forest moon of Endor! Right now we only have planets with trees that are sparse. We don't have any planets where you can feel like you can get lost in. If they had it like the movie where the trees are like every 5 feet and you had to navigate through them without roads , that would be cool.
  14. Bioware, This maintenance is getting "noticeable". Please figure out a way to patch or do maintenance within an hour like most MMORPG's. Test your changes on test machines before applying them to the live servers so that when you patch it does not take hours. It should take as fast as a file copy and a reboot (aka minutes instead of hours).
  15. I would like to see more STORY! The rakghoul plague would of been Epic if it had an actual storyline with it. Each day the story progressing into a climax (maybe a terrorist faction tries to weaponize the virus and you have to stop them; or you are tasked with wokring with a doctor to try and come up with a cure and run into all sorts of plot twists). We had the news terminal but they never released anything new from day to day. The quests were pure "fetch, kill, cure" quests without much explanation. Im not sure if I explained what I mean, but I basically would like to see "main storyline quests" with each event. It was fun, but we were left to use our imagination and ingenuity to make it fun. Like roleplaying as crazed infected people who would seek out players to infect seemingly at random. Nevertheless I look forward to the next one.
  16. Why can a Sith father with a human mother have a Chiss child that is not adopted? Why can't I have more then one ally? Why can't my character have both Ally's and Rivals AND have children and parents all at the same time? I hope that the Legacy family tree is "completed" and that new perks and abilities are added to unlock. More incentive for making alt's. I think legacy was well intentioned, but still needs work.
  17. You can do every quest in a matter of 30 minutes. I run every event quest once a day, all 7 or 8 of them. I don't see why they would be locked. I think once you finish the first one the rest will unlock.
  18. Never played WoW for more then a week free trial. I played Eve for awhile, Everquest 2, and Planetside. A little Dark Age of Camelot.
  19. Battlemaster is easy to get, they only take a week of farming PvP commendations (And there is a Warzone finder tool which aids you in finding PvP matches). You also get ALOT more commendations per PvP match then you do by completing a Hard Mode Flashpoint for example. Rakata, Campaign, Black Hole, or even Columni is not so easy. Hence the title of the thread. "PvE gear is too hard to get." Because of the commendation system (lack of crafting or credit buyout alternatives). Flashpoints/Operations are impossible to attempt with any frequency because of population problems. Bioware acknowledges that only a small percentage of the playerbase even attempts to participate which magnifies the population problems.
  20. There are probably like 2 or 3 Armormech's that probably even have the Columni schematics on my server. Chance in hell that any would be on GTN. That would require them to leave fleet to go find materials. I would have to make an ALT and take up Armormeching, and buy the schematics msyelf. This game is pathetic economy wise. The GTN is barren. Like I said I usually play 6-10 hours a day. We will get character transfers soon, and some kind of LFG tool, which I bet will be as restrictive as possible in order to make groups only slightly easier to find. What good is a LFG tool if there are still only 500 people per server? The population will be reshuffled around with character transfers and we will be back to square one. Bioware needs to rework Flashpoints, and Raiding content, because its not being utilized. The gear only being dropped instead of crafted is hurting the economy. PvE gear has been an impossible goal for me, despite the time spent. Not even crafted Implants or Weapons are better then dropped gear. The fact that there are people in this community that would defend Bioware on these points is /facepalm. its not about Population as it is about design choices.
  21. People are ignorant. I am in the most active guild on my server. We run Hard Modes on average a couple of times a week. And at least one Operation. That is better then most guilds on ANY server, nevermind my pathetic server. I have been a member for two weeks and I have done 2 hard Modes. The reason being the Rakghoul plague event , all of our Raiding time has gone to fighting World Bosses in order to get the Containment Officer Title. Next week when the event ends I will probably get another handful of Flashpoints in, maybe an Operation. That is pathetic. This is supposed to be an MMORPG. There are only 50-70 players on Fleet, maybe 200 players total on each side per server. Bioware is dropping the ball. Its not my guilds fault. Its not my fault. There are just not enough people to support pug's or "Hard" content. I am on a first name basis with 90% of the players on my server. That is sad.
  22. Bioware themselves said that only a small percentage of guilds even run Hard Mode content. Hard Mode Operations especially are the rarest (something like 1% of players). Enough said. A vocal minority can come here and say there is a healthy population available to do this content with. But you are ignoring the big pink elephant in the room. There is not enough population on my server that is willing to run this content. I can spam fleet for 10 hours looking for a group, but that doesn't get me any commendations does it? I am fully dedicated to doing this content, but with no one to do it with, makes it all futile. I have to wait a few times a week for my guild to organize enough people. Which is like chinese water torture.
  23. Consider yourself lucky. Takes me an hour or so just to find ONE person. And then we wait an HOUR for two more. And by that time we give up or end up with no Healer etc. I would be interested in Bioware coming up with some statistics on how much of the playerbase runs Operations/Hard Mode Flashpoints on a daily basis. I bet the percentage is less then 10%. The vast majority of players I see just run Warzone's or daily quests. Or regular mode Flashpoints (mostly low level players who are still leveling). My server is in the top 50% as far as population. So we are an "average" server. I have to believe it's worse or the same on most servers.
  24. Very bad advice but I appreciate it anyways. Running dailies over and over is not FUN. Orange gear is not very good. I have all the MOD's I need. I have the Implants. Its the rest of the PvE gear that I cannot obtain because of bad design, ignoring server population issues, etc. Sure the stories are great and 1-50 is cool, but I want to do Flashpoints and Operations too. Your solution is just join the status quo. Which is not going to get things changed.
  25. I am very frustrated on how hard it is to get the PvE gear sets. I am coming up on the end of my first month and I am still wearing "PvP" gear in comparison to like a Tionese or Rakata PvE gear set which is what I really want. I play 8 hours a day which is alot more then most people. The problem is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to find groups to do the Hard Mode flashpoints. Alot of groups that actually run Hard Modes will not take a person in their group that is wearing "less then maxxed" gear. How does Bioware expect players to get into this gear when you need the gear in the first place. ? Im sure it was alot easier at the beginning of the game because noone had the gear yet so more people were doing them everyday. I'm not blaming other people because 99% of the problem is server population it's not peoples attitude to crappy geared players. Combine both problems though and you find yourself in my position. I recently joined the only real active "raiding" guild on my server, but Raids are only every few days. And sometimes not even that much. For example I have only completed two Hard Mode Flashpoints, ZERO Operations, and I still have not even completed some of the regular mode flashpoints. I have MILLIONS of credits yet I cannot buy or obtain the gear I want. I AM FULLY WILLING to spend every credit I have to get this gear, but these gear items are not for "sale", Since I cannot run the flashpoints, I can never get the commendations for the gear. Since I can't get the gear, I cannot join most Operation groups or even some HM PUG's. So half of the game's content is unavailable to me. I am seriously debating wether I should quit because it's becoming more frustrating then fun. I have lowered myself to collecting Pet's and selling on the GTN. And running dailies. I WANT TO DO HARD MODE FLASHPOINTS AND OPERATIONS! Bioware really needs a CROSS SERVER FLASHPOINT FINDER (Because it would hurt their pride if god forbid they merged servers). THey need to create "Alternate" means in obtaining gear other then collecting commendations. They need to make CRAFTING gear better because its junk compared to the set's (Even after 1.2). Bioware is like the Soup Nazi in Seinfield. "NO GEAR FOR YOU!"
