  1. Guilds should be able to "level up" in a way by doing a certain guild oriented quest, daily or weekly, this would give the guild a unified goal, not every guild wants to grind the top end flashpoints/ops to uberise their gear, some want to just sociolize and giving a goal to do that would be amazing. I use to be in a guild where we did dailies as a group or op, was fun and alot of chatting at the same time, often people helped even if they needed nothing just to chat and be involved. The level could then be used to unlock certain benifits for the guild, like extra vault space, customise (craft area's/vendors, the same unlocks we get with legacy for our ships and even furniture could be added to change certain parts from the basic metal benches/imp/rep banners etc) a personal guild area with in the fleet etc, to many guilds are being rated for their ability to kill a top mob, but off raid times, no ones online as theirs no reason to be. id also like Guild banners added to this game, even if its just put on a cloak like in some games it adds a sence of identity that just dont exsist in this game. People change guilds constantly or even just stay unguilded (even more common recently) and most wouldnt even notice. Stuff like that adds community. Gossip etc is missing and it has driven comminities offline as well as online for a very long time.
  2. My point wasnt that we dont need a buff, its that its still a fun class to play and if we had higher numbers if we are to be looked at more closely, those who whine loudest dont always get what they want now in MMO's, thats what the statistic people are for now adays. I do agree that you make some good suggestions, as are alot of them in this thread, and I hope that the class gets a buff of its own to go with the new expansion ontop of the extra 5 point stuff they are adding. The accuracy issue is deffo one of my annoyances while remoding my armour and also that our rail shot cool down rarely can be used as to survive I must never stop moving and even when using Unload to proc it then moving instantly its not a 100% chance to proc so its hit and miss. Id personally like to see our DoT from the Combustible Gass Cylinder be a much higher percent proc chance as at the moment its not up alot and its a spec defining ability as well as has points in it for better DoT below 30% which I feel are used used currently with 1 DoT that you can rely on.
  3. I recently (start of December) started leveling a Merc for fun, it just felt like a good fit for me. I then looked at a spec and thought that Pyro was for me, alot of running around while pew pewing so to speak. It seemed very different from my 4x 50 Republic toons. Then I did alot of reading on this forum and watching of that amazing set of vids "dont mess with a pyro" which I found all the info I got very imformative once you removed the negative "I want a pony" posts from the equation. Since I hit 50 just before Christmas ive basicly spent this holiday pvping on my Pyro Merc Dixomi and had some of the most fun ive had ever. Im in full War Hero now, just need to mod swap to finish the set up and vola. We do fall apart very fast if ingaged by melee. I found that when Rakata Medpac and Kolto Overload are used at the same time, and if Energy Sheild is also up pop that as well I stand a good chance of escape. Sure vs a good melee, I die 99% of the time, but hay, melee have always been annoyingly overpowered close up, and have way to many tools, I live with it. So to sum this story up. With abit of hard work and no pre conceptions of invunrability your love the class.
  4. I leveled my Merc with a sorc duo, both of us were dps but popped a XP boost and just did flashpoints from 1 to 50, was very fast, especially with rested xp, but it means you cant sit around ingame otherwise you waste the xp boost if not doing anything And I would say if youve not experience with healing, you should prob respec every now and then otherwise the shell shock will kill you alone, healing is stressful at times heh
  5. I was looking at a similar spec to the one above but wondered why you chose to put 2 points in Burntout rather than get a Tracer Missile and then Tracer lock for more damage to rail shot when applicable. Ive only just hit 47 on my full pyro merc and looking to fiddle it for PvP as thats what direction im hoping to go (already have a full squad of replublic toons so want a change). Ive noticed alot of useful coments from yourself Nightkin on your video thead, showed me alot about rotation etc so best to ask yourself as everyone else seems to be all doom and gloom
  6. I like this idea, its kinda like a DAoC Bone Dancer and as everyone wants to be a Jawa its just a cool idea If course your looking in to alot of balance issues, and what sort of droids you'd have access to, for instance, would it follow the DAoC set that you have X points to spend on X max droids, so you choose what droids fits your style best. Or would the spec line decide what type of Droids you must use (Tank/Healer/DPS (melee or ranged). It would play very differently than any exsisting class making it an instant intrest for many. As with all new classes to all games though, your looking at an issue of major balance problems, no matter how much you test, its never perfect. Oh and Id say that Jawa should be added as a playable race anyway, and the class would be seperate, allowing it to be accessable by other races anyway which would add intrest to rolling alts for those of us who just want a Jawa:rak_09:
  7. I do find it strange that crafting has bind on pickup, If you put the work in why limite what someone can trade. Also hate the fact that only certain "pets" have buffs to certain trades, limites people who want to do something else.
  8. So as the server is down I decided to look at my spec again to give myself a touch more help in regards to Force (mana) regain. I currently use a standard cookie cutter spec, ignoring the normal valiance etc as pointless additions. i tested prior to the grand server mess a bit and worked out my HoT can heal pritty much just under my Noble Sacrifice damage currently. As I improve my gear this will obviously be even a larger gap between what I get back and what ive used. So.... I moved my points around to include Pain Bearer (+8% heal to myself only) and Valiance (4% reduction in Noble Sacrifice health cost). Once I get back on the server (tomorrow I hope) I will give this spec a test and see if the HoT alone can sustain my Noble Sacrifice useage and then some, if there is enough give in it then will keep it obviously. I found that when I burst heal in some tricky situations that my Force (mana) starts to fly out the window and after that its a difficult game trying to maximise your healing and deciding who needs the heal the most for the raid (no one likes dieing after all) Any suggestions?
  9. Ive had a flick though this forum, even on test forum abit but am finding it very hard to locate any information on how a Seer is going to regan power, specially as burst healing costs alot of force (mana) even when you take in to account the cost lowering of Rejuvenate. Id like to avoid this being a flame thread, instead id just like to hear others suggestions on regaining power so im more prepared for 1.2 Otherwise I might like many others just stick to our more fun alts (Scoundrel ) Cheers any information you can give
  10. Im currently playing my Scoundrel for fun due the the incoming nerfs and the lack of survivability on my Sage healer. Were see how it goes but I think that the Scoundrel healer will be the only healer in PvP soon
  11. The reason we know it asbrobs 2.5k damage is that all u have to do is walk in to the fire in hutball with it up to receive the 2.5k heal medal. I am a Sage Healer and I think its fine on the healers, maybe needs a nerf like a 30-45 sec CD on it for the DPS/Hybrids though. What many dont understand is that 15/20 secs in PvP is a lifetime, in PvE its not a long time at all. PvP when done right and enjoyable is a very fast and mad thing. DONT NERF MY BUBBLE, I GOTTA STAND STILL TO HEAL SO I DONT WANT ANOTHER NERF
  12. If they made it so all cures in Pvp cure all DoTs then it wouldnt be an issue, making DoT's not interupt is a quick and very rushed fix to the system. If DoTs dont interupt, theres very little reason to cure rather than just heal, a single DoT, or even two DoTs dont kill, its just a bit of extra damage for a duration fight and an interupt which is the point of casting them most of the time. Again, make all DoTs curable by all cures, not just force for force users and tech for tech users!
  13. I would hate to see all those people who level almsot exclusivly in PvP gain so many rewards, they got the Valor Rank as a reward, faster access once 50 to the Battlemaster gear. That is enough imo. What I would like to see change is the number of bags both Champion and Battlemaster your able to stock in your bag/vault at a time, for instance... Im rank 55 currently, I have almost a full set of Champion PvP armour, as such I would like to start stocking Battlemaster bags before I hit rank 60. As these Champion bags are really going to waste, nothing to spend them on of any value, I mean how many PvP Adrenals do I need
  14. I doubt this will happen, I say this because we all know that healers have no way of keeping a focused fire target alive, the ball carrier would just die and the ball would flip flop constantly till someone at range got it and made a break for it. Then of course it would all repeat its self around the corner
  15. First off im a Sage healer. I do beleive that having pull (which is actually a deagro tool) should be speced for in the heal line, its called Rescue not "omg burn in hell". Seen alot of DPS Sages using it to highly aug their kill rate. But that being said, the "jump" to target ability should also be a high spec ability, would make the chain of Throw > Jump > Throw > Jump abit less common. PS. I Love Hutball! and often we loose even when im pulling targets to me
