  1. Maybe bad luck or just being bad for this week? ONLY bug that my guild faces on Nightmare Soa that really sucks, but we still down him is when the pylon clearly hits Soa's bubble, but does not pop it. Other than that your raid should easily breeze through that fight even if tank(s) are being thrown in a mindtrap.. On P3 have BOTH tanks hump each others hip incase one gets thrown into the mindtrap and still easily control Soa...
  2. I suggest having your tank(s) sit out and bring in 6 DPS and 2 heals. For Nightmare you HAVE to do that comp until everyone is in full Rakata and you can get away with dropping DPS little by little to resume the usual 2 tanks 2 heals 4 DPS. Bonethrasher imo is the only challenging boss on Hardmode AND Nightmare mode because he is a straight up DPS race. On Nightmare once Bonethrasher dies, it is clear sailing.
  3. I for one am glad they're ignoring all the SGRA crap. I would rather them implement and answer questions that mean more than SGRA in an MMO. I for one give kudos for BioWare for dishing awesome answers and picking good questions weekly and I am stoked to see what the Guild Summit has to offer!
  4. Hello my fellow SWTOR lovers. My guild <Desiderium> from The Shadowlands PvE created a quick montage of us running 16 man HM Karagga's Palace. This is our first video and we will soon release how-to's and strats and just vids of X or Y boss not a whole montage of the complete Ops. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXycxJRbIqg
  5. Alright my MMO resume is huge and I play/played multiple MMO's at any given moment. DAoC - 7 years. Absolutely LOVE the game, miss the old days of old emain, and so on. My first MMO, and will still hold the crown for the all time best PvP game out there. Warhammer - 1 Year. Good game, just wish it was Dark Age of Camelot 2. Vangaurd - 20 Days. I hated this game with a passion. City of Heroes - 1 year. Fun game, just got VERY boring and repetitive once you reached max level, and the only thing to do was roll another toon. Aion - 11 Months. Awesome game, I don't mind grind. PvP was fun until Rifting got the nerf, and fort raids in the Upper Abyss became meh. Guild Wars - On and Off over the course of 3 years. It's my greatest fear with GW2 because F2P MMO's usually get boring after the newness wears off and with the whole dynamic content GW2 has it will have the Rift effect where people skip rifts or other events in GW2 come week 2. Rift - 6 Months. Awesome game, I had a hard time accepting the fact that they nerfed hardmodes come release and quit for a month when they did that only to return and enjoy raids and PvP. Age of Conan - 1 Years. Awesome graphics, good gameplay. Game got old once you hit cap. WoW - 3 Years. Raiding was fun until they catered to the casual crowd. Come WotLK and Cata game is now pathetic and will only get more pathetic. SWTOR - Day One - Present. This game rocks, I just hope they up the difficulty in Ops considering my guild is now 5/5 Nightmare EV and working on Karagga's Palace. Only real challenge in Ops are the extremely annoying bugs, and lackluster mechanics bosses have. Leveling is really fun, and crafting is just awesome! My faith in SWTOR is high, and I hope 1.2 and onwards offers that nice challenge most raiders want in an MMO.
  6. I might get flamed for this, but I will be fine. Will or do you guys think future Ops will offer a more challening experience? When BioWare released the 4 new bosses in Karagga's Palace they offered a nice twist and somewhat challenging obstacle that you had to overcome and execute perfectly. I absolutely LOVE how Karagga is designed and when you kill/attempt him on Hardmode/Nightmare mode for 16 man it's super fun times. My only gripe is the content at hand is somewhat easy to an extent, and I would like to see more challenging fights in the future. I absolutely love this game, and all the hate towards it disgusts me because people overlook things too much, or want everything thrown at them. BioWare I give you props for what you are offering, but I would give you a huge /brohug for more stellar and challenging content in the near future!
  7. Are future and upcomming Ops going to be slightly more challenging? By that I mean more unforgiving things to not stand in, or complex puzzles and such. I noticed when you released the new bosses in Karagga's Palace have some unique and slightly complex strategies which were awesome.
  8. Yeah I don't understand how people whom are 50 state that they're bored. Most don't specify that they attempt or do Hardmode Ops or even Nightmare. The challenge is there, just needto unload the DPS and kind of sort of move out of something, or position you and the raid just right
  9. Alright i'll play along. I want harder Ops. Fast enrage timers and more health kind of get boring once you surpass hardmode and into nightmare. I do love the puzzle bosses and can't wait for the future, but I really would like bosses to have more mechanics that are unforgiving and require more awareness. Atleast for Sarg and Jorno in Karagga's when Jorno hops on the top of the door pannels he fires down a nasty and speedy volley that wrecks an individual whom stews in it for more than a second. I am sure BioWare is aware of simple content and will slowly make future bosses hard, but for the time being what is got is 'ok'. Edit: I am NOT bored. I been 50 since December 27th and still loving every minute of my one and only 50.
  10. I'm giving SWTOR a 8.5/10. Reason is simple, this game is new and awesome, but like ANY new MMO bugs are going to be there. It takes time and patches to make all these bugs go away. BioWare is doing a stellar job at removing all these bugs, and I appreciate what they're doing. Like many 50's saying raids are bugged yes I agree, we ran into the bug on hardmode EV when Soa had one of the floor pieces missing when we wiped the first time. Granted it is unfortunate but all you can do is report it and move on. I think people had their hopes WAY too high for SWTOR, and that is why the backlash from all the whiners is crazy atm. People need to deal with it, report what is happening, and move on. Simple as that. I don't care if you and I and many others are paying customers, don't expect a stellar product on a newly released MMO. -Cadedrik
  11. Try hardmode OP if normal is on farm. I'm sure you guys atleast have 3/5 Columi or Tionese gear equipped.. Attempt hardmodes now. It's what my guild is doing. HM Kaon Under Siege drops TWO Columi Headpieces...
  12. How are you bored sir? Have you cleared EV and Karagga's on HM and NM? I think not. Content is quite abundant, I think you just havnt stepped foot in it yet... Just my 2 cents sir..
  13. Dude you don't know real PvP. DAoC offered 8V8 in certain area's IE Agramon. Which was a island connecting the three sides on one big island. Also if your 8 man was good enough you could roll up on a zerg of what 50+ and own them? That my friend is real PvP that requires SKILL not a stat like Resil, or Expertise.
  14. Am I really reading people saying that WoW of ALL games is the best MMO that offers competitive PvP? Oh my god. You people that PvP NEVER heard of Dark Age of Camelot. That game is REAL PvP, or well RvR ( Realm vs Realm ). DAoC has THREE realms, and 30+ classs. That game my friends is the grandfather of PvP MMO's.
  15. I'm going to come out and say that I don't care for high res textures in cutscenes because and yes I am going to get flamed for it, but I skip every cutscene unless it's a class quest because I only want to know where I got to go, what I got to collect, and how many things do I need to slay. I would like to have them outside of cutscenes, but as many have stated this being a AAA MMO, and a high budgeted MMO they should atleast have an "option". I built my high end PC for one thing, beautiful performance and looks. I absolutely LOVE SWTOR but it does leave a bad taste sometimes when I look around and the textures are ho-hum and meh all around. Yeah the cutscenes look cool and all, but once I am outside of them my gear/partys gear looks like crap, and makes me depressed a teeny tiny bit inside. BioWare I hope you add a "feature" that enables users to either check or uncheck High Res Textures. -Cadedrik
  16. Kantoro is mine, flows really well with most of my toons names so I picked it. Cadedrik Kantoro.
  17. The game JUST released. Of course it will last. The amount of hate towards SWTOR I expected because this game was hyped a bit 'too' far. I ABSOLUTELY love this game, and having tons of fun and enjoying the amount of content available at 50. Yes I said it, I enjoy the content available to you at 50. People bickering overing no content or buggy raids, well I hate to break it to you the game just released homie. Give this game a few months and it will offer and nice amount of content readily available to you and I, with the exception of less bugs relevent ATM. All you can do is report the bug/bugs you are encountering and move along. PS. BioWare keep up the good work and I know you are working at extremely high levels to make SWTOR enjoyable to everyone despite the vast amount of forum trolls and naysayers. /brohug -Cadedrik
  18. Alright GW2 will do well to an "extent." Want to know why? The game is fun in spurts. I played Guild Wars on and off for years, and the amount of time I invested over the years was pathetic. I would play Guild Wars for a month or two before being completely bored. The game has decent PvP. Not like DAoC, but it's decent. F2P MMO's only hold the attention span of many gamers for a short bit. People are already having trouble running SWTOR on their PC. Look at the graphics GW2 is using. Looks like ALOT of people are going to upgrade even more. Dynamic Content is an AMAZING feature for an MMO, but sadly like Rift which has all those Rifts which is Dynamic Content were only fun for a few weeks before everyone moved on and never partook in closing Rifts. ArenaNet is a pretty good company but they are overhyping things WAY too much. I highly doubt GW2 will get a special treatment of content patches every month or so. I expect a content patch for GW2 to hit every 6 months - a year. That being said, I will play GW2 and enjoy it in spurts. I enjoy PvP, but a F2P MMO only holds my interest to an extent, and with GW2 having minimal spells compaired to what Guild Wars offers is sad. Having such little abilities for X or Y weapon/harpoon is depressing but they said if you footstomp an area covered in ice in GW2 your group gets a nice buff... We shall see.
  19. Level 50 Jedi Sage. /played is at 5 days 21 hours 32 minutes
  20. Alright I am a level 40 Sage, and I am purely heals. I find healing in SWTOR fun, and most deffinitely takes skill and management on what/when to use X or Y ability. I have healed many Flashpoints, and group quests and absolutely love this challenge. Telekinetics overs +100 Force to your already 500 pool, and so on. I say read, and build a nice spec and go on from there.
  21. I don't know where to post this, but two days ago when I was running the lvl 28 Flashpoint Cademimu, either General,Party, or Guild chat randomly stops working. As time goes on Gen Chat will work and Party will not and so on. Is there any possible way to fix this or do I have to tough it out until they fix it? I am a healer and party chat is needed when doing flashpoints and group quests.
  22. I agree, I have not had THIS much fun playing an MMO in years. Last time I had this much fun playing an MMO is in 2002 when I started Dark Age of Camelot. SWTOR is amazing in every aspect minus a few minor things that I can easily look by. The difficulty curve going from planet to planet and how it is increasing in AWESOME, however I fear that people will start raging and asking for nerfs when the general population hits Alderaan. The challenge and use of CC for group yes group quests at later levels makes me SO stoked for raiding. Anyways SWTOR is AWESOME, BioWare I love you man. /brohug
  23. WoW has been dying for quite some time. The population or 'subscriber' count has plateaued, and is now hemorrhaging subs. Simple reason is because it is an old game, greener pastures are around, and people want to seek them. Cataclysm WAS the final nail in the coffin due to extreme shifting between hardcore to casual gameplay. Cata offered a decent challenge at start, then the QQ was crazy and Blizzard had to handle it and tone it down. WoW is a 'decent' game and did set a somewhat 'standard' for MMO's which is exposure. WoW at the time could run on any crap computer and people latched onto it. Before WoW was around most MMO's didn't get a chance to see population go above 500,000. I remember in DAoC back in 2002 when the population was over 50,000 I thought it was HUGE. Anyways SWTOR will dent the already hemorrhaging subscirber loss and Guild Wars 2 will for sure dent it also making the loss even greater. Many new MMO's are coming out at the best time for them, and the WORST possible time for WoW to rake in customers and subscribers. Between SWTOR,GW2, and Rift WoW will be hurting but not dead. -Cade
  24. Alright I'll give this a whirl. #1 - Dark Age of Camelot - Why? Very simple, it all started in 2001 and I was hooked all the way until 2009. ( Played it on and off of course.) #2 - Warhammer - It should have been DAoC 2, but Mythic failed HARD. #3 - SWTOR - Why? Different genre, IP ( duh ), and oh different genre for an MMO. SWTOR is very fun, refreshing, and will hold me over for a WHILE because, fantasy MMO's are getting OLD after 10+ years of playing them day in and day out. #4 - Aion - What can I say I like PvP. Aion delivered well, until they nerfed Rifting and twinks got out of hand. #5 - City of Heroes - This spot was either CoH or WoW because they're fun substitutes for 'brief' spurts of enjoyment and fun. CoH was fast pace, repetition that lead to a few good months of enjoyment over the course of two years.
