I hate to break it to you, but MMORPGs did not start this trend as you are implying. Diablo... Borderlands... You will find plenty of game genres that have, do, and will continue to do this. Probably because some people do in fact find it fun to grind for better loot. Not everyone has the same definition of fun as you.

Just curious in 5.0 what is a good balance of Crit : Alacrity? I am relatively new to sorcerer and was trying to balance gear/augs. Just trying to get a rough ratio in mind for when plotting out the gear. I am playing a DPS spec at the moment, but I'd love to just get a ballpark for both sides. (DPS / Heal) Any input is appreciated!

You get all the gear you need while leveling from quests. (Also from the mobs, their drops scale) You get all the gear you need from end game from command boxes gained through command xp. Both of these are achievable solo.

Yeah this actually encourages people to play GSF and got me back into it! And while this all sounds great, everything in me thinks Bioware will decide to nerf this CXP gain within 30 days. We wouldn't want anyone to actually play GSF right???

Same here. This time it had only the organic monsters and not humanoids, and it spawned the trigger mobs once I got to the platform. Thanks for the fix!

Same issue here... Very annoying since I rerolled this new character just to do all the storylines in order, and this halts progression.

So there was no Hotfix yesterday or today I see. Did we ever get an official statement from them giving an ETA so we know if we have to deal with this for just a matter of days, or is this typical to linger for weeks? It may seem small but honestly that was my favorite ability/upgrade in the game, and makes me not even want to travel around anymore until it's fixed. I know I am not alone here because half my guild won't stop complaining about it either

I finished my Obroan tank PVP set, and am curious if it seems wasteful to work on a full Obroan DPS set next rather than upgrading the tank set to Brutalizer first? It seems like the gains are nominal from Obroan ->Brutalizer tank for a person who solo queues non ranked most of the time, or can someone attest that it really is a huge upgrade before I invest so much? At this point I'm almost thinking to leave my Obroan tank set as it is, then build a PVE tank set as my tier 2 (for the odd times I am not PVPing), and instead now spend all my warzone comms on an Obroan DPS set. Any thoughts? I always overthink these things but I try to treat my comms like a precious commodity and don't want to waste them since this technically puts me back to square one but seems like a worthwhile investment. Thanks!

+1 I am having the same exact problem as a Sub and full Legacy upgrades as of this morning patch 2.8. Submitted a CS report but posting here too. Hopefully we get some traction

I think the PVP stat is excellent. Even in a game like Battlefield, which is both PVP and Skill based there are unlocks that give a veteran player advantages over a noob. It does not mean they are invincible, just like here. The veteran also has advantages with the game mechanics and environment layouts. PVP is not supposed to be "fair" in the sense of one team is dueling another team. This is war. Unfair things happen in war. Whoever fights "fair" is almost certain to lose. On a side note, this type of mentality will ALWAYS find some reason why things are not fair.

I am pretty sure this is incorrect. There have been plenty of times my Electrocute does nothing because the opponent had a maxed resolve bar.

We could melt them all down to a 2 meter brick, and use that to put shielding around a small thermal exhaust port on the Death Star. Go green!

Pretty sure you don't know about other abilities Assassins can get to increase their Light Armor rating to be on par with Heavy armor. A tank specced Assassin is one of the least squishiest classes..

This does have some truth. This or you get people who start crying in the Ops chat and get into pissing contests during the match. Sorry to say guys, but you are the ones failing if you are complaining nonstop in chat during a match. More often than not these types rage and then quit the match early anyway lol. Even if your team loses, you can still come out with a nice bit of commendations and valor if you were all trying and not whining. I have gotten more gains from a well fought match we lost than a 5 minute match where we dominated.

If the match starts with the same number of players, how does your faction population imbalance have anything to do with your statement? Something something something dark side.
