Funny this has come up. I haven't played in a over a week and came onto the forums to see if anything has changed. I'm sick of player imbalance and am about to cancel my sub. I was hoping to find information on how they plan on fixing it. The issues with so many Sith and so few Republic are well-known to everyone, no sense on repeating it. I just wish they'd tell us what they're going to do about it.

I got those numbers from going to the Sith and Republic stations of three different servers (accurate as hell, I know). The largest disparity showed 273 (Sith) and 52 (Republic) in the relative stations (only 1 instance per station). Besides the numbers though, everyone has seen such an imbalance, as I'm not the first to speak about it. I can't think of a way to fix it, so I'm not asking for that. I'm just disappointed is all.

I'm very disappointed. I wanted to play this game as a Jedi, and I love PvP, but every server has a 5:1 ratio in favor of the Sith. I play as a Sith Warrior right now because they are my next favorite, but the balance is so out of whack that I can't play the character I want and actually have fun. Even 2:1 is a pretty darn big difference, but 5:1 on one server (little less on others)... this game might as well have been made purely Sith and not even worry about the Republic.

Look again. They're wearing pants, tunic and a cloak. Consulars wear "dresses", tunic and cloak. Dresses go all the way down in front, except for very few exceptions.

Yoda used his lightsaber... Emperor Palpatine used his lightsaber... Every Jedi or Sith used lightsabers... No Jedi or Sith ever wore dresses (another issue, but one that I'm still having issue with)... There shouldn't be a free ranged ability for the Sage, their should be a spec that makes a Sage a melee/ranged hybrid. Nothing the Sage does mirrors what we've seen in lore - using the Force and not a lightsaber at all. At best, they are all hybrids. 'Nuff said! (or, at least, all I have to say on the matter)

As I understand it, you log on and pick a server. Most people without a guild or RL friends to play with will likely choose either low-pop server or the one with the coolest name.

I think this is what everyone was asking for - some communication as to why this had to be done in such a fashion. Given that MMO players are such a frivolous, whiny bunch, developers (and I'm not just speaking to BW) should learn to anticipate, or at the very least keep an eye out for, the most likely arguments to a decision. If this was given with Mr. Reid's initial 'Wave' thread, I don't think we'd have such a problem with trolling. Allowing the trolling to go on makes it harder on those of us who are mature and want to play, because we cannot play the game and are thus left to browsing the forums, which are not the best influences for a constructive community when there is a lack of communication.
