  1. Yeah, that is definitely a problem. Almost any game of this nature has players like that though. One of the biggest things that helps is sometimes players actually listen. If you take leadership and tell players where to go and what to do, they actually listen. Sometimes they don't, so I go find a spot in a WZ to campout while the Imperials farm the rest of my team. No need to die, no need to rage quit. With more time, hopefully more and more players from a server will get into PvP and the average skill level might go up. Since this game is still new, there could potentially be a lot of skilled players that haven't made it into PvP yet.
  2. I want to kill my C2-N2 droid and I can't. He is annoying and needs to die. He changes my ships diet without permission. He stinks it up with nectar. He does things without consulting me. He talks too much. I want to throw him out into space and shoot a photon torpedo at him. D:
  3. Again, this game is only a few months old and Bioware is planning an enormous amount of content/updates/addons/etc. That's just your opinion.
  4. First, I'm Jedi Sentinel lvl 50. I understand that SWTOR has a lot that needs to be fixed and improved. Like many players, I have gone through frustrations of being outnumbered, out-geared, low FPS, etc. The point of this thread is to encourage other players to stick with SWTOR. Yes the game has its flaws - which are all being addressed and fixed. By the way, this game is still only a few months old. When I started playing, I had an enormous amount of fun from level 1 to level 50. When I hit 50, I went through a week of getting owned by Imperials and criticized by my team for sucking. No constructive criticism, just pure rude stuff like "You f****** suck, give up PvP." This was my first week in any form of PvP combat in any game. I was a total noob at this. I bit the bullet, sucked in the pain, toughed it out, grew a pair of b***s, and went through a transformation. The best way to describe the transformation is to use the movie Fight Club as an example. I went in a wad of cookie dough and came out carved out of wood. My skills with my casting, cds, aoe, etc all improved. I went through Jedi Sentinel guides online, asked for advice, saved up and bought PvP gear, continued to endure the pain of losing, being outnumbered, out geared, etc. ---THIS IS WHAT COMPETITION IS ABOUT - THIS IS REAL PVP!--- Now my troubles are almost gone - with the exception of performance issues which are being addressed. -I crush almost any Imperial in 1v1 combat. -I am almost always in the top 3 in most damage/kills. -I finish Dailies and Weeklies in Warzones with a breeze. (skill level and leadership skills have made a difference between wins and losses) -Although I still die all the time on Ilum, I am good enough to get kills before I die. Meaning I have been finishing Ilum Dailies and Weeklies with no problem. My point: Yes it is tough and unfair and this and that.... Grow a pair! Being patient and persistent has paid off. If you want to be babied, go play a baby game.

    Ilum is unplayable

I get as low as 2 FPS and about 10-15 FPS on average in Ilum. My computer: Core i7 960 OC to 3.6ghz 12gb ram 80gb SSD - Windows 7 2x 300gb WD Raptor Raid 0 - SWTOR/Games 2x Seagate 1.5tb - Storage GTX 480 SC 27" 120hz 1920x1080 All settings max. SWTOR Windows 7 settings: -set to disable Visual Themes and Desktop composition -set to run with Win XP SP3 Compatibility -set to run as admin -Direct X 9.0c installed The above 4 settings improved fleet FPS from 10-20 to 30-40 and keeps me close to 111 FPS on almost any planet. Also, made Ilum BARELY manageable. 80-111 Average almost everywhere 30-40 Fleet 2-15 Ilum ??? --------------------------------------------------------- My system powers through everything else with no lag, no FPS issues, no slowness, nothing. Ilum NEEDS to be fixed.
  6. The game has many flaws, and it isn't perfect. That being said, my subscription stays active because I think the game is awesome enough to negate flaws. I see BW working actively every day hand in hand with the players to improve the game. For me, I think being patient will have a big payoff over time. I know you all want instant perfection. I just wanted to suggest to you all to wait. This game is worth it. Thats just my opinion.
  7. I'm sorry, but I the only problem I see is with your thought process. This is not criticism and I'm not trying to be rude or anything of that nature. I'm simply lending advice. SWTOR is more than a game to some people, especially me. We put hours and hours and hours into this game, develop our characters over weeks, months, or even years (for those who don't play often). Eventually we (not all but at least some) develop an emotional connection to our characters. I'm quite proud of mine. ---Now do the part where we make decisions--- Hopefully this part will help. I have a ZERO tolerance policy for carelessness. I also consider my time important and believe only a super strict hand must be used in enforcement. --------------------- The prisoners weren't important to save - the need of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one. You should have let them die. A captain on a flashpoint disobeys orders - immediate death penalty. An enemy attacks me in the story line or PvP - death penalty. (unless i die first) Any action against the law, rules, beliefs, etc of my side - death penalty. When unsure - shoot first and ask questions later. All people but me are expendable Not an eye for an eye... my policy is 10 eyes for an eye. People who stand in my way must be crushed. --------------------- I think I got the point across. Just get your morals, ethics, and rules of conduct in order. Then decision making is simple.

    Battlemaster Bag RNG

Its not that. It is the fact that theoretically someone who plays much less and goes through less bags can end up with better equipment. That part isn't fair.

    Battlemaster Bag RNG

I know. The whole random chance is completely unfair.
  10. You are right. Almost every time I get into a PvP warzone, I tell myself that I should have been a healer. I think my next character will be a Sage.
  11. I understand your point. Would you agree that a healer that can not only heal himself faster than he receives damage, but deal little bits of damage here and there while he keeps himself alive - has a huge advantage?
  12. I have enormous difficulty killing healers in either PvP group or solo, warzone or Ilum. It seems that they heal faster than I damage. (and I'm a Sentinel too) After a long ground out fight, I run out of health and die. Maybe I'm under geared, maybe I suck, maybe healers are overpowered, or maybe a combination of all three. I'm not looking for a disagreement or argument - I'm just stating that killing healers (especially Sorcs) is extremely difficult or impossible(for me) compared to everything else.

    Battlemaster Bag RNG

Not just BM bags, the Champion bags too. If two players play the same amount of time and put the same amount of work, they should receive the same reward. I've gone through 30+ Champion bags and have only ever received two items - the rest being commendations. signed
  14. The murder of an enemy on a PvP server is all the reward I need. In other words: A matter of preference.
  15. I understand what expertise does. I'm wondering if expertise only makes a difference in PvP situations such as Warzones or Ilum, or if it makes a difference in any PvP situation. For example: Say I have a full set of Champion gear and I go to Voss to do some ganking, will the expertise make a difference in a regular PvP fight?
  16. Sign and agree. It is difficult and sometimes nearly impossible to target especially in a big fight on a Warzone or Ilum. ------------------------------------- Also, I hate all that garbage (warzone map/status) from the screen from the Warzones too. It covers up the top of my right quickslot bar. I wish all that unnecessary crap could be turned off... and I can't seem to find any settings that would do so.
  17. Yes, I really am sick of that droid that came with my ship. First of all, he does stuff without my permission including but not limited to: -Messing with my seat cushions (I never gave him permission to do that) -Putting stinky fragrances on my ship (Droid doesn't have a nose) -"Improving" on my specifications without consulting me -Talking to me every time I walk on my ship (i never gave him permission to speak) I wish I could disintegrate that little tin can of a droid or even give it to a Hutt for a life of abuse. ------- Can we have a menu preference to shut him off? or Even better, I'd rather be able to use my light saber on him - for good!
  18. I don't care what anyone says, PvP is heavily imbalanced - probably worse on some servers more than others. On my server, my team/ops is outnumbered and/or out geared greater than 80% of the time in Warzones or Ilum. The system needs to be reconfigured and re-balanced for an equal challenge to both Republic and Empire. It is ridiculous how easy it is for Empire and how difficult it is for Republic. Something needs to be done.
  19. I'm having the same problem especially in PvP on Warzones and Ilum. I'm a Jedi Sentinel and my instants don't always cast. My spells have been canceled or just plain don't happen. I have to step back from the fight sometimes just to get them to work... That is, if I'm not dead because my stuff won't work.

    Damage

I've had similar problems in Warzones. I'm Jedi Sentinel with Centurion/Champion armor, 14k health, I use all buffs, stims, health packs I can and the best combinations I can. Some PvP players take little to no damage from me, very rarely do they take a decent amount of damage, and they kill me sometimes in 1-4 seconds. While dying that fast doesn't always happen, I've had single Battlemasters take me out in a couple seconds death after death. This isn't a one time deal, if the team/player combination is right, then it always happens.
  21. To OP: I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful but... I really don't care. SWTOR is fun and I love playing this game.

    PvP Help

Sometimes they are being guarded and sometimes they are not. It is much worse when they are guarded than when they are not... When they are, I manage to keep the two tied up for a decent amount of time. I figure one player holding at least enemies two is useful to the team. However, their health never even gets low and I always eventually die in that case unless I run away. When they aren't being guarded, they heal themselves and ignore me. I was attacking a healer once all by myself. There was nobody immediately around him. He was healing his team that was attacking my team. All he did was heal himself occasionally and ignore me. I used Force Kick/Force Stasis to cancel a few of his heals, but I ultimately made no difference - I couldn't kill him and nothing I did got his attention away from his team. I guess gear does make a big difference.
