  1. You know saying "I cant use it" is kinda ******** when it comes to the new update and cartel items. The modifications are still there for the other lower levels. You can still get them. You can still use it, they just wont be as powerful, you can still use them in the meantime. It's not ideal, definitely a problem. But it's not as bad as people make it out to be.
  2. Exactly what it says on the Tin. While I love the addition of combat styles, I've long lamented coming back after long absences to have my Death From Above power moved to only the mercenary instead of being able to do it as my Powertech, And I've wanted to redo this without playing through the entire game and trusting the engine to make default choices for me. Please allow us to not only take a second combat style, but to change our original one as well.
  3. Also having this issue. My sub is through steam, so I got resubbed alright, about 2 days ago, but I didn't get my cartel coin monthly grant, got the security key one though.
  4. I figure if you just use it it's not a problem, it's when you start trying to sell it that it becomes issue. It doesnt look nearly as good in SL as it does in SWTOR and back before this game came out some people from bioware actually came and put up displays advertising the game and linking to it's website.
  5. My current Main I've been playing non stop was from Ebon Hawk and was named after a Persian Queen in the 5th Century BC. Atusa Achaemenid, Then I had to rename this character and I was quite furious because I thought it was obscure enough to have been safe, but someone else on the republic side has it. I managed to get a rename to an accent on the last A ,so it's close enough as most people dont even look at that. I did however get to grab the sorcerer name I've wanetd since launch Darth SCÁHTH. (I had to add an extra H to the name but that's better than what I had before which was SCHÁTH)
  6. There are a few EU sources stating that the insides of Mandalorian Helmets are actually 360 degree displays, and the T-visor is a sensor array, yes. So the inside of the helmet would look more like what Iron man sees in his helmet.
  7. Vette is a twi'lek, they aren't people.
  8. My name is Reman Cyrodiil. I was born on this hill with the Amulet of Kings in my forehead. I *AM* this Hill.
  9. Pazaak, Sabaac, And Swoop Racing. Player housing on world with decorations you can fully customize, allow players to make decorations by assembling objects from a set of things with a little interface, choose color and textures and stuff like that to create a player economy. Guild housing and halls.
  10. I would like to point out some things about the Master/Apprentice relationship that may de-squick some things. Padawan and apprentice are both ranks and titles that can be held by fully competent adults even when they first get them. I'd like everyone to remember in KOTOR Both Revan, AND Bastila Shan (and if memory serves even Jolee Bindo) were only Padawans, And every companion except Mandalore, the droids, Kreia, and Hanhar could be trained as either Jedi or Sith by the Exile, and most of them romanced. The master apprentice relationship can be a partnership, which can become romance, it can be a brotherly relationship, a father son, mother daughter, father daughter, mother son relationship, uncle nephew like relationship. there's really no limit or one archetype for the bond between teacher and student here and it's not at all like what most people are used to most of the time, when they think "Student"and "teacher"
  11. I've always considered that the more corrupted by the dark side someone is, the more signs and difficult to hide it would be. But there are many ways to mask the most obvious things like eyes, skin color, hair color, things like that. But in Dooku's case interestingly, My hypothesis is that Dooku never showed the outward physical signs of the dark side because he had not embraced it long enough or devoutly enough for it to appear. Dooku was a Jedi Master long before he was ever Sith and it seemed like much of his skill and ability comes from his already extensive knowledge of The Force, So it's possible that he never physically manifested things like the paler skin, blotched skin or the paler eyes because he had not been Sith long enough or had done things extreme enough. It just never was a problem and he died before it really started to. Or it's possible Dooku never really embraced the dark side like other Sith have. He wasnt willing to give in to it to the extent Darth Vader or Palpatine did
  12. How viable do you think this build is? Any suggestions or improvements? How will this do in PVP?, How will it do in PVE? http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc/#201ZfcM0dRZcrfRs0kr.1
  13. You. Are everything that is wrong with the community and the fanbase. A corporate *********** shill defending a company that you have no vested interest in inflating the profits of, yet like a rabid fanatic rush to call people who want nice things "Entitled". Not only does your quote represent the attitude that is killing gaming, but is also killing my country. the attacking of players and accusing consumers and customers of being whiny brats who should be lucky they have the Privelage of spending their money on a product made to entertain, for that money. No god forbid a Company actually work to create a product that deserves it, god forbid the industry actually has to create ,innovate and do their job to earn their profits. No we should just all fork over our expendable income to them and take whatever heavily marketed trash they throw at us right? Get real. if someone wants to be able to get hold of a nice set of armor in a game without forking over even more money on top of the $60 for the original game plus $15 a month, 6 months down the line for a bit of extra work, why shouldn't they be able to? it makes the game better, little things like that. I don't see why, people like you have to treat others like they're crybabies because they either have higher standards ,or ask for a little bit of a bone be tossed their way. Grow up, you elitist neckbeard.
  14. saw someone in general chat tonight looking for a group, named stringerbell, could resisted the urge to shout "WHERE'S WALLACE STRING!?" a few times in general in reply. (Points if you know The Wire) I also have a chiss agent on Ebon hawk named All'sta'te
  15. Another thing about Kreia, was that she did say there was a third path other than light or dark,. And that is to say to hell with the Force. Not apathy, that is death, but to reject both the dark and the light, and the Force, to say you do not need it and be able to live without it.
  16. I think a lot of you are missing the point of what Kreia meant by middle ground, as well as what Jolee Bindo was about. See, There's the Dark side, and the Force. (or light side) The potentium theory is wrong yes. That said, Kreia's point was that by worrying too much about the light or the dark side, you did more harm than good. You shouldn't care about whether you are light, or dark. You shouldn't do things simply because they appear light side, or dark side. If you remember in Kotor 2, if you did something that was obviously light side, or obviously very dark side for what can only be construed as being intentionally polar to try to go light or dark side, she would call you out, unless you had justification for it beyond "Hurr Jedi code" or "Hurr dark side" Jolee bindo and Kreia had a great deal in common, Jolee was like a more light side kreia, he didn't like the Jedi code, he thought it was dogmatic, stupid, and often forced Jedi into a narrow minded view which caused them to oftentimes do more harm than good in the name of adhering to some absolute value. Kreia was the dark side equivolent, she believed the dark side was the means for great strength, however if you did not have something to do with that strength, if you didn't have a reason for having it beyond simply hoarding it, then it was worthless, and that adhering blindly to the ideals of the Sith code or Jedi code weakened you as it closed you off to other avenues. The point is, There's gray area, not within the Force, but within the definitions of those sides. if you want to strengthen the dark side, doing the obviously evil thing was short sighted and often foolish, if you want to do good, then again, doing the obvious good deed without thinking often times does far more harm than good. This is a pattern repeated often in the EU. And the lesson seems to be clear,The surest way for a Jedi to fall (not consciously choose mind you) to the Dark side, is to worry too much about falling. Just look at how many Jedi it happens to. first you've got Atris, then you've got Mace Windu (who was so afraid of the corruption of the Sith, that he was allowing himself to become consumed by fear and anger without realizing it,and you can very much see it in him in Episode 3) Luke Skywalker came very very close to falling several times by worrying too much about it. The lesson here is clear: Act with thought, and consideration for what you are doing, do not be a mindless puppet of one side or another.
  17. I find it absolutely baffling ,that Bounty Hunters cannot use rifles or carbines. The vast majority of bounty hunters in Star Wars canon we've seen used rifles or Carbines of some kind primarily,(Boba Fett, IG-88, Dengar, Bossk, Aurra Sing, Zuckuss,) et cetera. And while there are plenty of Bounty Hunters who used pistol, why should our character be forced to? It seems arbitrary and lazy. While on the same token, Agents Cannot use Pistols, and yet the agent archetypes ,the secret agent type such as James Bond uses a Pistol, and is legendary for that.. And Soldiers, who many cut scene animations show them holding a pistol, most of their armor has a pistol visible on the armor, cannot use one? That is patently ridiculous. These restrictions feel silly, and based more on laziness than for any good reason. What I suggest, is allowing all ranged classes access to both rifles and pistols. Potentially as a Legacy reward, I dont care. I want my bounty hunter to have a rifle.
  18. I really like this idea. And you could give certain characters bonuses to certain things for doing things a certain way, like have a dodge skill that's about timing ,flurry skills to deliver a flurry of blows, stool smashing and bottle busting over the head type stuff. Sith could have an advantage in counters, and speed of blows, Jedi could have an advantage in dodging and defending, Smugglers and Agents could have an advantage in dirty tricks like groin kicking, feinting, and bottle busting, Bounty Hunters and Troopers would be sheer brawliness power and have bonuses for things like picking up stools and smashing people with them, tossing them into the bar and just whaling on people. maybe make it so you can get drunk while doing it too.
  19. This wasn't a Sith tradition ,and was in fact quite taboo until Sadow did it and his spirit encouraged it.
  20. it's to stop people from accidentally missing cut scenes because they were distracted or afk
  21. He absolutely did not, Naga Sadow was long dead on Yavin in exile when the current Sith power structure and Military and political foundations were formed.
  22. New Advanced Classes? I'd suggest Advanced Advanced Classes. For instance, A Sith Inquisitor can be a Sorceror or an Assassin, and later past 50, a Sorceror can become an Alchemist, or a Loremaster? While an Assassin can become a Wraith or a Blademaster?
  23. I really doubt that a species lucas to date still has not named is going to appear in an mmo as a playable race when it doesnt have stats in any other RPG ever and there is a grand total of like, 3 known members at all.
