  1. I would say Sorcerer. Ahh.... I miss all those Night Sisters.
  2. Early beta tester (pre orange dot) Still subbed but haven't logged in for a few months.
  3. IMO playing a flight/space sim with keyboard and mouse is playing a game. Playing a flight/space sim with a stick is flying your ship. When I played IL2, SWG/JTL, X vs Tie I wasn't playing a game I'm was flying my plane/ship. Any one really into flight sims will know what I mean. BTW if any one is interested in a space sim with space physics try Vendetta online. You can boost forward turn your ship 180 flying backwards and shoot the guy on your six or 90 flying side ways and shoot the ship on your side.
  4. I did. I flew with the 77th. I used to take my re-ed starter scyk to DS for sport. Some of the best times I had in SWG/JTL were events with the 77th and 6th. Remember post event parties at the Star Haven cantine? :) /salute;
  5. SWG-JTL With out a doubt I've spent more than a year on a re-e project. But thats what made it good. I killed people in a second then sent them a tell to come back I wouldn't shoot back to let them get some practice. I also got many "lets just call this a draw today" tells after a long fight. The pilot community was one of the best I've gamed with.
  6. Got a funny SWG BH story. I had a spy after nge I used to clean up in Restess <---spelled wrong. He had a large bounty on him. I was playing MP in Lotro and we were talking about SWG. I said I had a spy with a bounty on him I had not log on for over six months some one asked me what server I was on. I logged on to SWG and had to re-set all my skills. I said later for that and went to the vender. While I was there I got atacked with no skills hahahaha. When I read the text on who killed me the name was very close to the person in Lorto who asked which server I played on. I sent him a nice job tell and got a smile back. I never asked if it was the same person. I 'd like to think it was. Really made my smile they must of had that mission for months.
  7. I spent many joy filled hours killing T5 driod fighters. Nothing like having 5 of them on your 6.
  8. From the very first day of early beta till now SWTOR to me feels just like the NGE Mustafar expansion for SWG. So I would have to say yes, SWG influenced SWTOR. It might just be me though. Although I didn't much care for the dumbed down NGE I really liked the game played on Mustafar. If SWG had a solid story line (trials of Obiwan) like that from the begining with the sand box and JTL like it was for end game it would have been a win. Little known fact. After cu2 while we were playing with a CRP and asked why they were dumbing SWG down. He told us they were thinking about making it cross platform so they could get it on a console for X-mass of that year. It never happened.
  9. Rainbow crystal?????? Errr...... Can I get a Mr. Hankey hilt that says "houdy hoo" when I pull my saber?
  10. I use the G-13 for movement also, nice little thumb joystick on there. It also has four layouts for each game profile you load. I have one for pve and one for pvp. I have two keys turn/forward for left and right on the stick so my Sin can circle his prey while facing him. Switch targets with the fleshy part of my thumb and 22 keys to work with. I click lesser used skills with my mouse and thats all I use the mouse for. You can even make and bind macro's on the fly, not that you need them here.
  11. Tried it after the patch and died several times. Went and did some heroic's last night instead. Companions die much ?? hahaha I didn't know about the equipment bug at that time. Killed him this morning. It was a good fight at lvl 24.
  12. SWG Played from day two Kettemoor, Valcyn and Euro Chimaera. pre-cu tkm/Mfencer/medic/pistoleer. post NGE Jedi and Spy (who doesn't like to phart things to death) Same name as here.
  13. I played SWG from the second day until it ended. (off and on after NGE). I have to say most of the time even before NGE my time was spent playing JTL. When ppl talk about SWG they remember all the good times they had with there in-game friends and not the bad things about the game. Rose color glasses are great for looking back. I play the emu from time to time for old times sake. Tap nest, kill spawn, tap nest again kill spawn, tap nest no spawn kill nest get xp. Not really fun. SWG was about playing with other ppl. When NGE hit a lot of ppl left and you found ppl that were in game enemies form the start questing together in groups to do the story line. For the Vets it was a fitting end to our SWG saga.. we found peace. For us it ended before the Resstes<--spelled wrong) thing. The memories are way better than the game was.
  14. Long ago in a Galaxy far far away I had a "helper" title. So for me putting on my founders title with that spirit and helping out is like the other game has found immortality through the force.
  15. I used to fly with the 77th bomb group (insert proud emote here) on Valcyn. /;sigh
  16. Darth Lascivious, Wow with that name she's got to be hot. Will she dress in a slave outfit? Do you have any pictures??? j/k.
  17. Has to be movies in a time line between the org. SW movies. Anikans/Vaders redemption was what "made the circle complete". SW's is hero rises, hero falls, hero is redeemed. Bringing Vader back unless its in the context of time between the current movies craps on the whole story. Might as well turn SW into a cartoon.
  18. JTL why did I have to see this thread. First day it was out I ran to the flight trainer in Bestine and signed up for the "Storm Squad". Little did I know what I was in for. I had just signed up for the hardest space line in the game. Any Stormers here remember the 2hr. escort missions where you got pounded? I remember when you had to kill the corvette in Kessel when it was still a PvP zone. ( you were auto declared when you went there like deep space) How about the year long re-e projects or the freelancers that camped the deep space spawn point and hit EP3 as you spawned :). Ahh... JTL, re-eing that special reactor so you could run RO4, EO4 and WO4. The Jedi ship craze when you could have a 1v1 that lasted so long you would get a tell "lets call this a draw". The space community banned the jedi ship from pvp and we all stuck to it. We had large space events. Deep space where you could become a faction hero or a celebrated enemy. I remember talking a fresh enemy player back to DS by telling him I would unload my guns come back and get some practice. That was the pilot community in JTL. We had fun /;wipesEyes.
  19. To me when Luke yells "Father" while Sidious is zapping him is the same as "Arthur here is the grail drink". SW's is an old story bundled for a new group of people open to its "touch". +10 for George Lucas and Joesph Campbell job well done.
  20. For me and a LOT of other players JTL is what kept us subbed for 8 years. We had great space events. I can't think of any other space flight sim that was as good as JTL. If JTL was re-released as a stand alone game I would pre-pre-pre- order it. There have been rumors of a new SW on-line flight sim from Lucas arts forever but I believe its just wish full thinking. IMO if it wasn't for JTL SWG would never have lasted as long as it did.
  21. +1 I've played both sides. Sith Inq. and Jedi Sage. I found the Sith story better, but for the SW feel the music for the Sage was better.
