  1. Yup. Seemed to be the point from the get go.
  2. Bug with 3.0 I discovered today when leveling up my Sorc, the intro weapons you receive for completing the Prelude to Revan quest line (Doing all of the Forged Alliances FPs) has bugged vibroswords. Swords are set for rating 192 but give stats comparable at more than 70 percent less than every other weapon offered for a reward.
  3. Curious about this too. How do experienced Juggs/Guards think defensive players should gear in pvp in 3.0 so far?
  4. I don't think Revan needed to really encounter the Emperor's spirit to be under his influence, he was already directly influenced by the Emperor for 300 years and the Emperor's spirit went after a new host, that's been known from the SW storyline for quite some time now. For those arguing that Revan wasn't under any influence or struggle with the Emperor, you need to replay the Maelstrom Prison flashpoint. The Exile's force ghost makes it clear that Revan was being weakened over time in their 300 year mental struggle. Revan's ultimate goal is to kill the Emperor, the Emperor's ultimate goal is to unleash so much devastation in the galaxy that he can utilize a ritual to absorb the lost lifeforce to become unstoppable. Frankly I think the Emperor's goal is more closely in line with the storyline being displayed in SOR, especially considering the massive secret forces at play which more closely resemble a plot of the Emperor(Especially for those who have played the JC storyline). But, Darok and Arkous both said they were saving the galaxy, so who knows.
  5. I'm a 55 Guardian who's been on and off with the game since launch and looking for a guild that's interested in the new Planetary Conquest updates and am able to raid on occasion. Anyone know of any guilds that fit the bill?
  6. Star Wars has a lot of canon that gets released in odd places, but they do have a continuity they work hard to establish. Anything that gets released in the SW universe will ALWAYS, at some point in the future, have a canonical result. In the case of the Exile, she was confirmed as female in "New Essential Guide to Droids" years ago. Yes, that's a weird as hell place to confirm it but Leland Chee worked with Del Ray to make that happen. In the novel Revan, her name was identified as Meetra Surik. As far as the canon accuracy of Darth Nox, I haven't read Annihilation, however I see Wookieepedia lists Annihilation as an indirect reference to Darth Nox, which means that the poster who stated Darth Nox was identified as the canonical name of the Sith Inquisitor is likely correct, and an owner of the book can likely identify the page number for you. I have no real interest in the book.
  7. Someone would probably stand to make a lot of money if they were crafting Guardian Hilts. Seems to be the only one no one crafts.
  8. I am looking for someone who can craft a Guardian Hilt 26 (Black Hole/Campaign level). I see a lot of the other 3 hilts, but never ones for Guardians. If you happen to be able to craft it, or know someone who can, drop the name here and I'll get in touch with them in game.
  9. My biggest surprise with the event is the items you are finding for the race aren't part of the rewards you can keep. It would be cool(would've) if you could have picked one of the scavenger hunt items to keep when the quest line is finished. My JK probably would've worn a moddable Akar Kesh mask. Maybe the Shard could've been a rare lightsaber crystal. What about the Krayt Dragon pearl? There's things that could've been done with the other items.
  10. I'm really surprised I haven't seen more mentions of Ossus and Ziost. They were pretty important to the ancient Jedi/Sith setting and could be re-used in this setting since they haven't had lore set for this time period.
  11. I think a lot of people fail to realize that even if you Kotor3 had been made, you wouldn't have played Revan or the Exile. They would have come up with an all new 3rd character that would have met them and fought off the Sith. This is why Revan and the Exile take a backseat in this game. They were going to take a backseat no matter what. Revan will likely show up again when an Op comes out with the Emperor or some sort of weapon against the Emperor can be found.
  12. Darth Plagueis were mostly looking to get rid of the rule of two simply because the rule of two is there to ensure the tradition continues because the assumption is that the master will always perish.(This is flat-out stated by Bane in his parts of Book of Sith). Plagueis and Sidious both wanted to live forever. Plagueis didn't even want secrets between him and Sidious because he wanted to combine all their resources into discovering eternal life. He was panicky about dying. Regardless, they both still adhered to the rule of two, though Sidious continued to push borders on it by ensuring he had an apprentice lined up before he offed his master or lost his current apprentice.
  13. Darth Decimus, is waxed in the Republic's Corellia storyline, and as far as I can tell, each storyline(even world ones) are canon as of right now. They just occur on different spots on the timeline. And yes, I've played both Republic and Sith sides of the game all the way to 50 through each world. Other than that, the ones listed above so far are the only ones I know of to still be alive. There's probably a couple that are missing or their seats are currently empty.
  14. Fleets are a social hub. This is something people want that can be added and doesn't hurt anyone. Anyone saying "JUST GO TO ESSELES BRO" is missing the big picture. /signed
  15. I'm glad the people who have responded generally like the idea, and hopefully Bioware takes notice. That said, I understand artifice has some limited crafting capabilities here, but this concept is meant to add a bit more content and support the general feel of Jedi/Sith.
  16. You're a little bit mistaken on this point. While most EU content(this game by its very existance outside of the movies is also EU) is created by fans, there are actual people hired by Lucasfilm(Leland Chee for one) who keep track of Star Wars canon; including the books which are also official lore.
  17. I agree with Yoda, but mostly for his overall wisdom involving life's struggles in a galaxy where you have great power and thus great responsibility.
  18. You have to read the books in the expanded universe to understand this. Luke eventually surpasses Yoda, and gains abilities that not only did only certain people have(Like Mace Windu's Shatterpoint), but learns various obscure Force powers from various other non-Jedi practitioners as well.
  19. I agree that the Legacy system could be used with this somehow. I'm not sure I like the idea of the lightsaber carrying over to every character, as I enjoy the differences between characters, but they did say the Legacy system would have things to offer for single characters as well as each character. Opening the quest chain with it is a good idea, IMO. I also agree that Ilum could definitely be useful here.
  20. Considering that part of the storyline for each of the lightsaber-wielding classes grants them their first saber in the beginning, I can definitely jump on the level 50 bandwagon as far as questing for your own saber goes.
  21. One of the reasons I suggested a Quest Chain was simply because this is an MMO and achievement/acquisition is part of the inherent design.
  22. As the game is heading more and more into a personal stylistic setting where you will earn high level mods and apply them to your favorite gear as you wish, I got to thinking about the most personal aspect of a Jedi or Sith: Their lightsaber. As an MMO, it's pretty common to run out and attempt to acquire the new coolest looking weapon and what not. In SWTOR, we really only have the hilts, as the "blade", or crystal color is inter-changable, or will be soon. But for a Star Wars nerd like myself, I enjoy the concept of crafting my very own lightsaber of "my" own design. Now, you might say "but at the beginning of your class story your Jedi does create his/her own lightsaber!" and sure, they do, well, some of them do. The Sith do not. But regardless, each blade other than the Inquisitors', looks the exact same. What I'd like to see is a quest chain that allows the Jedi or Sith to go out and collect parts that will result in him building a lightsaber of his/her own design. This could be done in several formats, but basically the game already has numerous designs for lightsaber hilts, and probably more that haven't even been released yet. So at the end of a quest chain, the Jedi/Sith could "put together" the pieces, and basically cycle through the artwork and choose one that they'd like their hilt to look like(Much like Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy). Strict MMO players will likely not agree with this, as acquisition is of the next big weapon is a huge thing, but considering we're already moving in the direction of acquiring mods rather than being forced to wear gear we dislike the look of; I really don't see why this isn't feasible or undesirable. Most Star Wars fans would probably want to take part in a quest chain of this type. Any constructive feedback on this idea is welcome and I look forward to it.
  23. Did you read the Plagueis book? He tried to create life from the Force, and failed. He and Sidious just hadn't realized Anakin was a result of their failure. Anakin had the greatest potential, but failed to meet it. That's G-canon. In the extended SW continuity, Luke IS the most powerful force-user.
