  1. I respect those who remain on Ajunta Pall for standing tall. I was a west coast Ajunta Pall player who transferred to Jung Ma. I originally choose Ajunta Pall mainly because it was a west coast server (lower ping). Additionally, it was PVP (I like that), and finally, RP (RP servers tend to have less immaturity). Ajunta Pall delivered on all counts, plus had a great community. While I totally understand why BioWare would want to have players consolidated to fewer servers (and I did empathize for those players who had been languishing on near-deserted servers), the Character Transfer from AP to Jung Ma was a losing proposition either way. On the one hand remain on Ajunta Pall, a perfectly fine server that, because of BioWare's making it an origin server, became a virtual ghost-town. On the other hand, play on Jung Ma with increased latency. For me the latency went from 37ms with a rare spike 50ms-110ms, to 95ms with lag spikes 110ms-200ms+ occurring much more frequently. I found anything over 120ms negatively affects competitive game play. I have read posts where other players don't notice or don't care, and I say good for them. But many players do notice and do care. I just wish BioWare cared. But this is BioWare's first MMO, so it may be unreasonable to expect BioWare to have a handle on something as esoteric as a subscriber choosing a server based on a technical reason (lower latency), or how to properly leverage resources (the already in place Character Transfer tool) to retain subscribers. I am not renewing my just expired subscription because my time and money are worthy of nothing less than the best game experience and service. I wish all the best to the Ajunta Pall and Jung Ma server communities. To the entire SWTOR team and all players: NEVER SETTLE.
  2. What I think BioWare fails to realize, is how utterly inept they look while remaining silent. Even a response such as: "We are aware of the situation but are not offering an additional solution at this time" would at least show that they (1) have a backbone and (2) care. I had held out a small bit of hope that someone, somewhere within BioWare would be able to rise to the occasion. My bad.
  3. Wait, so you are saying, since January, you've added more than you've removed? Do you have the hard numbers of how many were removed (fixed) / added? Thank you so much for doing this.
  4. With the Star Wars universe already rich in lore, what was the motivation to go with a totally new planet (Makeb) for the upcoming expansion announced at E3?
  5. I mainly PVP. I leveled my main from 25-50 solely through PVP. But sorry OP, you have an unreasonable expectation. You simply can't expect to play only a portion of this game and end up with anything more than a portion of the "reward". SWTOR was never designed as a PVP-centric MMORPG. While it may appear that some who replied may be missing your point, they provide many valid suggestions you shouldn't dismiss. Once I hit 50, I "had" to branch out - still had a level one speeder, hadn't unlocked all levels of my abilities, hadn't started chapter three of my class story! You'll have to find whatever works for you. One of the simplest things I did to make a few credits: Play the GTN (buy low, sell high). I easily made 100k+ a week on no more than a 20 minute (a week) casual investment - seriously, I barely tried. Though I now invest more time and make more I am sure you get the point - you're going to have to do a little something beyond PVP if you want more than the comms and the creds you get from the WZs and daily / weekly.
  6. Yes, please! And also make the second destination server available to Jung Ma to cover the west coast Ajunta Pall players who took the transfer to the east coast Jung Ma and find the increased latency adversely affects their gameplay. (For more info see here.)
  7. So are you saying SP breaks once it mitigates (x) amount of damage? You sure?
  8. Just a note - the European RP-PVP servers now have MULTIPLE DESTINATION SERVERS AVAILABLE! While Ajunta Pall players, and ex-AP players who have transferred to Jung Ma and find the high latency unacceptable are completely ignored. (Still waiting for a BioWare person to explain how a 120ms or greater Server Lag reading doesn't put me at a disadvantage in competitive gameplay.) With so many missteps in design and development, I was on the fence about ever re-subscribing to SWTOR - there are just too many alternatives for my gaming time and dollars, MMORPG and otherwise. But once I realized that BioWare would willfully ignore players reasonable requests, which BioWare is ENTIRELY able to meet, I also realized that my money will ignore anything having to do with EA/BioWare/Lucas Arts for as long as the Ajunta Pall and ex-Ajunta Pall players are left without satisfactory resolution. Not even an acknowledgment about our situation - you can't make this stuff up!
  9. Allison, thank you for the quick and thorough response! Much appreciated! You and other posters claiming to understand troubleshooting robust software may think that my opinion isn't worth much. Interestingly enough, BioWare must not agree with your opinion, since the first reply to my thread was from a BioWare employee. As a customer, it is not my responsibility to be a software designer or anything else - I am paying to use their service, so my question is completely valid and reasonable, and I have the metric (Allison's near immediate response) to prove it. Additionally, your logic is flawed. As an example: must a person be a certified mechanic before you take your automobile to get serviced? If your automobile is serviced but there is still a problem, isn't it COMPLETELY fair and reasonable to ask the mechanic what's up? While Allison's response was spot on and directly answered my concern (thanks again Allison o/"\o), your and the other couple of responses are redundant at best. IMO too condescending to be considered constructive. Or do you feel BioWare failed to answer my question correctly and somehow needs your "expert" help? While I still think the wording of some of the Patch Notes could be better, I am confident Allison already picked up on that, which is why I was thanked for my feedback.
  10. With the influx of the new Augmentation Slot Components flooding the GTN, they deserve their own Subcategory under the Crafting Material Category. Right now they are mixed in with the items in the Miscellaneous Subcategory. Thanks!!
  11. Has anyone been able to figure out how much damage Shield Probe actually mitigates? The tooltip is oddly ambiguous: Thanks. Would be great to see BioWare take the mystery out of this ability and give us a tooltip that defines the amount clearly.
  12. I don't understand how BioWare could think something is fixed to the point where it is declared fixed in a Patch Note, yet it really isn't! How is this allowed to happen? Could somewhere from BioWare please explain what you mean when you use the word "fixed"? Thanks. Just a few examples of where BioWare uses the word "fixed" in Patch Notes when the issues are NOT fixed. These are just off the top of my head Stuck frozen upon respawn? Not fixed. PVP Raid Frame showing all members? Not fixed. Jawa Balloon randomly resetting? Not fixed. I am sure others could add to this list. The first thing that needs fixed is the BioWare dictionary definition of fixed cuz that thing is broke man.
  13. I missed it but in the live Patch Notes for 1.3 it reads: Corrected issues that could cause players to appear to be stuck dead. How disingenuous. Not just "appear to be" stuck dead. No camera control + no movement = completely stuck dead. And while they may have "corrected issues" they certainly haven't corrected this problem which they have been aware of for quite some time. It "appears" BioWare doesn't know what the frig they're doing.
  14. So then the brackets are double-gated (checked for metric when queued AND then upon WZ entrance) and do not allow changing of gear in WZ. Simple solutions really to stop possible exploits.
  15. Why not just have lv 50 pvp divided into two brackets based on Expertise level: <800 and 800+ or some such point. Seems fair.
  16. BioWare continues to fail to properly leverage testing resources (players). Or willfully ignores them.
  17. Your UI / Character Sheet don't always update properly. CTRL + U twice should give you proper stats.
  18. The thing about the ticket system (well, one of the things) is that if they escalate your ticket, it gets removed from your in-game Customer Help Request window. So, oddly enough, it's actually working as intended!!! So yes, the apparent deletion somehow equals we've escalated it but not going to acknowledge that we've escalated it lolz. Unless they actually just deleted it, which also happens. Can't make this stuff up…
  19. This has got to be some type of new record low.
  20. A couple of points to remember for those expecting resolution. First is BioWare's triage mentality to dealing with problems: fix what's most broken and/or effects the most players first. Which sounds fair until you realize that your concern is so far down the list they will never get to it. Second is that their business model for the game only needs 500k or so concurrent subscriptions to be profitable. So losing subs is no big deal since they can bleed the subscriber base down and still look good in their own eyes. Of course, that second point isn't too forward thinking as upsetting hundreds of thousands of customers might not bode well for future endeavors - just saying. The thing about this situation is it is ENTIRELY of BioWare's own doing. No one on Ajunta Pall did anything wrong or unreasonable. No one who chose a west coast server for whatever reason should have to choose between an east coast server or remain on what is now a virtually empty server. Sadly, there will be no "Heroic Moment" forum post from the Doctors (or anyone else) making this right. Maybe they will have a second round of free transfers that will quietly address this situation. Maybe.
  21. In the first set of patch notes for 1.3 on the PTS, it read something like: "Fixed an issue where a player APPEARS to be stuck upon respawn in a WarZone" (emphasis mine). It made me laugh, as if it was only some graphical bug and you weren't really frozen. Also, this glitch/exploit can occur in open world pvp.
  22. As one of those west coast Ajunta Pall players who transferred to Jung Ma, I can say that the experience has been disappointing at best. The community itself seems fine enough, it's just the lag. I'm in a WZ, I see a player coming up so I do a knockback - but I am the one getting knocked back. Usually it doesn't blow the cooldown but sometimes it does. I use an ability that requires me to be facing the target, but, that is only on my client as it doesn't hit - this usually blows the cooldown. Other players will pop-up because they've changed direction while I lagged out of sync. I have been accused of cheating in a WZ because I "teleported." On Ajunta Pall I had a stable 37ms Server Lag reading, with the rare spikes 60ms-110ms. On Jung Ma I have a base 95ms reading, with spikes 110-200+ occurring much more frequently. There are two scenarios: 1. BioWare did not realize the effect it would have on the gameplay experience; 2. BioWare knew about the effect and did nothing (working as intended). Which one inspires confidence? NEITHER. BioWare: shoot me an email when you have a free transfer option available for me to a west coast destination server. Until then, my not paying for or playing any BioWare/EA/Lucas Arts game is "working as intended."
  23. From your join date I see that you've been around. Do you remember when the speeders were first revealed? There was a thread with the title something along the lines "I don't want a segway". The gist was that players desired a more traditional looking speeder (like the Land Speeder from Episode 4). There was a dev response saying that they had that larger type on an internal build and there was too much clutter on fleet, so that's why they went with smaller speeder design. Yet here we are with a problem that they were aware of PRE-LAUNCH. Doesn't inspire confidence in the design/development teams.
  24. Sorry, there's PVP rule-set and PVE rule-set. Some folks don't mind being flagged for PVP on a PVE server - good on them. But this is a concern for players who do not want to be flagged for open world PVP on a PVE server. Try a little empathy.
