  1. After reading a lot of this thread... I offer you, Mr. "investment banker/attorney/dev", a mirror: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissistic_personality_disorder
  2. I think in this particular game, being KOTOR 3 more than a Star Wars MMO, many people have never played in a multi player environment before. That type of player is less likely to group, due to performance anxiety, being worried they might make a mistake and be called out/ridiculed by others. Then there is the other side of that coin, which is where someone like myself resides, where having played many MMO's over many years, having grouped with every kind of personality out there and having grown somewhat cynical of MMO gamers, I no longer have the desire to deal with random folks very often. Also, with all of the instancing and sharding, players seem to be isolated from one another quite a lot, regardless of overall server populations. If you aren't seeing many other players, that's one more opportunity to meet a random individual, who you may have ended up grouping with, that's out the window. Add to this, SWTOR really doesn't require grouping, and I think you can understand why many choose to go it solo. That being said, I do wish there was more of a sense of community. To the point of the OP, I do agree there is a segment of any MMO population that fits your description. They are known as narcissists.
  3. I'm have been curious about if this will be the case or not and plan on checking into it when I get home from work tonight.
  4. I will still be playing and I think the overall vibe of the forum community will get better after the thirty days are up. As of right now, just take the petulance with a grain of salt.
  5. Wow. I'm sorry you guys have had all this trouble with this quest. It really is an awesome and epic feeling quest. I didn't realize I got lucky having no issues until I read this thread. Made it to this quest at lvl 30 on Christmas night and managed to take out the Padawan and Master w/o any glitches/bugs, etc. I hope BW addresses this ASAP because this was the BEST quest so far IMO for BH and of course, is our ending to chapter 1, with all the thirty levels of anticipation for Legacy/last name.
  6. WoW did not have nearly the legacy at it's launch of the Star Wars franchise.
  7. The higher level missions take a long time for those credits, around 30 minutes. This will not break the economy when the crafters get maxxed and can charge 10-15k for one item.
  8. Having tanked for the last four-five years in that other MMO, I tried JK Guardian in my first weekend Beta and thought it was great, made it to lvl 24 and fully intended to continue with him in the follwoing weekend Beta. When that arrived my original server was no longer there and so I rerolled, decided to give the Empire a chance and figured I had seen the Force so why not try the other. I knew I wasn't going back to JK pretty soon into the BH. I liked the story more. I enjoyed the mechanics more. I felt like a bad *** pretty much right away. I also liked my companions more. And maybe most importantly, the voice acting is simply spot on for the BH (Steve Blum 4TW). PT is great fun. We get flames, missiles, death from above!!!, grappling line, rocket punch, jet charge, etc and do respectable damage while being able to take a beating and we look damned cool doing it 8)
