  1. Hello! We are a relatively new guild mainly focused on providing a friendly and helpful community to players who want it. We are not focused on any particular aspect of the game; rather, members are encouraged to play as they want, whether they mainly focus on OPS, PvP, or are just a casual player looking for a friendly group. I myself am the first and current guildmaster. My main is a level 65 Guardian (Tank spec) with both PvP and PvE equipment good enough for story OPS. If it's an aspect of the game, I do it. I have been a solo player since launch until I found the right people to form a guild with. We have the standard Coruscant guild stronghold. Our current XP boost is +6%. We will be saving money to buy a flagship. There are plans to make an Imperial guild. We just need enough members on at the same time to go make it. Our name, Jedi Crusaders, is a reference to the Jedi who followed Revan into war during the Mandalorian Wars. We are not like the Revanites, though I personally have a general respect for Revan's philosophy in the Knights of the Old Republic series. There are plans to make uniforms for different classes in the guild, but wearing these uniforms is not mandatory, nor are players expected to furnish them. They will be crafted in-guild. Our forums are located here: http://s15.zetaboards.com/Jedi_Crusaders/index/ Feel free to reply or PM me on here or in game (mail Steds). Please review the guild rules on the forum before requesting to join, seen here: http://s15.zetaboards.com/Jedi_Crusaders/topic/8283554/1/ Forum specific rules are here: http://s15.zetaboards.com/Jedi_Crusaders/topic/8283485/1/ We are looking for friendly people who don't just want a guild for the XP boost, but rather for the community. We also value competent players, and standard procedure is to run a flashpoint with recruits before making them into full members. I look forward to meeting anyone who joins and hope you have a good time in our guild!
  2. Well, there we have it folks. The oldest active member on the forums is #77. You probably just changed the url 1 by 1 until you hit 77, didn't you? I had thought of the same thing, but it got tedious. XD
  3. Let's see... 10.27.08 OP already beat me by a day there. Sooo... number is... #30977 So I'm almost the 31000th forum member?
  4. Yeah, wrong subforum. But on the topic... have people forgotten what RPG means? Roleplaying game. Which means you are roleplaying a character. Levels and stats and all that are only typical to RPGs because that's how Dungeons & Dragons did it and still does it. These things are not essential to RPGs. The only thing essential to RPGs are the characters themselves. Everything else is just gravy. To be honest, my main problem with SWTOR has far more to do with the restrictiveness of its class system. It still has the same problems it did at launch, like bounty hunters not being able to use rifles, which is entirely the fault of it being an MMO. I recently played Neverwinter just to see what D&D's latest MMO is like... they restrict paladins to using maces. *** is that? Does anyone else remember when bounty hunters could use vibroblades, Jedi could use blasters, and there were no restrictions to Force powers? Take a look at KotOR, not an MMO, but it let you do all those things. Then look at SWG, an MMO and it let you use whatever weapons you wanted. Then look at say, Dungeons & Dragons Online. It's using more or less the same d20 system as KotOR,,,, hence you can use a variety of weapons depending on the class and feats you pick (paladins and fighters are basically unlimited in what weapons they can use, which is one of the major points of warrior classes). So... what Bioware has done with levels hardly make the game less of an RPG. It's the restrictions they are keeping in place that are doing that. What they have done with levels is giving players more freedom to play how they want, which is more the point of an RPG.
  5. Yes, the Sith really are evil. Yes, the Jedi really are good. The entirety of the Sith philosophy revolves around selfishness, while the entirety of the Jedi philosophy revolves around selflessness. A true Sith wants to become the most powerful entity in the universe and subdue absolutely everything to its own will. A true Jedi simply wants to do what is right. The problem arises when we see the Jedi defending a decadent capitalist Republic ruled by rich corrupt elite. The Sith Empire provides a stark contrast to this as even slaves have the potential to work themselves to the very top (as is the case of the Inquisitor). So yes, the Sith philosophy is evil. It embraces the dark side and encourages violence and murder. And the Jedi philosophy is good. It embraces the light side and encourages peace and kindness. But are the Jedi and Sith like this in practice? Usually, yes. But not always. And it's that not always that is the problem. The Jedi should not be supporting a Republic that actively encourages a huge rich-poor gap. The Sith, on the other hand, have the perfect system for their philosophy. It rewards merit rather than wealth. But their philosophy itself is the weakness. When everyone is out for themselves, the no one is helping each other. This is why the Sith always ultimately fail. They end up killing each other off and cause their great empires to fall. A Jedi Empire would pretty much be the perfect system if Jedi were allowed to marry. I would be rather unbeatable, people would be promoted on merit, and because of the Jedi way, there wouldn't be any poverty. No one would be homeless. No one would be starving. And with a galaxy's worth of resources, you can't tell me that this couldn't be done. But, because the Jedi always shy away from power, this would never happen. And that is one of the Jedi's greatest faults, that they look at a position of authority as a position of power rather than a position of responsibility, a responsibility that would be best left to people like them rather than corrupt politicians or evil Sith. A true Jedi without selfish desires and only benevolent thoughts would make a perfect Emperor. To be perfectly honest, as the Jedi Knight in the game, if I ever had the opportunity to become Emperor of the Sith Empire, I would take it without hesitation. Taking it would mean galactic peace in our time, and the authority of Emperor would allow me to make the galaxy a far better place. Of course, the immediate result would almost certainly be civil war.
  6. Man, I'd like to say it rings a bell, but I really can't remember. I was in after NGE. Were you still on there then? That said, what do you know about the current Dark Legion groups on here? I know there's Dark Legion and Dark Legion Phoenix, like you posted, but I'm not sure if either has anything to do with the Dark Legion I was a part of. I'd be interested in joining either if there were people I've worked with before, though. That said, I think Dark Legion is Republic, which is weird. I'd go with Dark Legion Phoenix if it's Empire.
  7. Can someone start a thread like this in the spoiler section of the forums, but have it be for all class multiple endings? Because so far what I'm seeing is the same ending no matter what for other classes. Spoiler for Sith Warior, Sith Inquistor, and Jedi Knight relevant to my point here: These are all just very underwhelming differences, whereas the endings for the Imperial Agent actually seem to have a lot of meaning. Very big difference from what I'm used to from Knights of the Old Republic I and II. You either save the Republic as a model Jedi and get a hero's welcome, or assume the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith. I was hoping to be able to do the same sort of thing in this game, but I guess not. It all comes down to not truly being able to switch sides in the game. Something I truly miss from Star Wars Galaxies. But anyways, I digress. My main point was I haven't found a thread anywhere else as comprehensive, at least for one class, as this one. So who's with me on that we should make a spoiler thread for all the class endings? If there is one already, I'm sure having trouble finding it.
  8. DeltaEkotte, were you in the Dark Legion that was on the Chilastra server? I'm having trouble pinpointing things. It always seems like there's more than one Dark Legion.
  9. I was Bounty Hunter Steds Boida with the Dark Legion on Chilastra during NGE. I'm playing as Jedi Knight Steds Boida with the guild Hero on Shadow Hand. If any of my old guildmates see this, please give me a holler. I still feel bad for when I left SWG, even though that was years ago. Does anybody know which Dark Legion on SWTOR is the legit one? I'm not having any luck in my searching.
