  1. Guess I better send in a ticket, because I haven't gotten any cartel coins from this month when my sub also renewed. Not before launch and not after launch. Hoping they would fix these problems by themselvs *sigh*.
  2. BioWare knew exactly what would happen, and flashing paid character transfers when they have screwed up the population due their own incompetence and stupidity doesn't exactly help. Sure this is better than nothing, but this whole situation could've been averted from the start. I believe the old saying, "You reap what you sow", is adequate here. This storm was expected when people would notice that their servers wouldn't be on the initial list. Lets just hope that they start to work out the kinks asap and allow rest of us to transfer for FREE. As a sidenote: Unfortunately the mature members of the community rarely take their time to post on the forums.
  3. Targeted free transfers usually mean that the server transfers are targetting to transfer people to certain, and usually low populated servers, if I'm wrong, I'm happy to be wrong, but truth is that this is how many MMOs have started with. I merely read between the lines and assumed that instead of just doing server merges, they would try something called "bubblegum fix. Most likely their focus is not currently on raising server playercaps due to fact that they want to create "closer communities" which is originally why the servers were "small" to begin with. I don't doubt bigger servers are an impossibility, but that would ruin their "communities" pretty well. The thing is that the transfer to f.ex. Kinrath Spider, which is practically dead, will most likely be free, whereas transfer to The Fatman will cost the players to transfer to. This is my issue with the "to transfer to anywhere you want you have to pay" type of sentences. Also I post extremely rarely, so don't call me hysterical yet. If you were right when the transferring comes, please hit me with a pm where you call me hysterical, because then I've earned it.
  4. And that's exactly what I see problematic. Why would anyone want to transfer to a empty server in an MMO? I don't know about those who want to play alone, but I sure do want to play with people, be able to purchase stuff from GTN and actually do flashpoints, which I haven't been able to do for weeks. The solution is not try to breathe artificial air into already dead servers, they simply won't become alive again. We need to shift to fewer servers already. Ahh thanks for the clarification, eases my mind a bit.
  5. Will we see new companions and story arcs during this year?
  6. So wait, if I want to transfer from a dead server to another dead server I can do it for free, but if I want to transfer to a server where there are people playing I have to pay? Is that it? If so, you really need to re-evaluate your strategy. Fewer servers, bigger playercaps and merge servers. Shouldn't be so hard.
  7. Is it possible for you to do a server merge to merge existing server into 2-3 megaservers per server type?
  8. 2 or 3 megaservers per server type would address population problem nicely. This way everyone had a feeling of populated galaxy and could actually do group content. Atm it's quite boring being all alone in most zones for most of the day. Instances can always be added and tbh, I'd rather be on a instanced server than play all alone and look at nice event content I can't do because partying is completely impossible because my server is completely dead.
  9. 60 fps all the time i7 2600k stock 8gb DDR3 1600mhz RAM Asus 580gtx 1.5gb Note that this game is very badly optimized and some planets will use everything they can get from your gpu. Another note, if you have a bad fps, and use multiple monitors, disable the other monitors.
  10. Most people I know hate add-ons simply for the fact that people who can't or won't learn the game need an easy mode. Most add-ons are essentially that, taking most of the challenge out of it. Also, it ruins the community aspects of the game when we will have the groups that require X rating from Y add-on. While I agree that skinning your UI is always great and fun, that should be the limit to it. If you have thinking capability, you can easily figure out the aggros and whoever the boss is targeting. Teamspeak/Ventrilo/Mumble is essential to MMOs. Or fast typing. One should simply learn to communicate with other people rather than need huge flashing screens if the healing is hard. Most of the pro-addon reasons I've seen so far are for DPS meters and other e-peen devices. Most of the anti-addon reasons I've seen so far are to prevent above mentioned kiddiedevices. Personally I don't mind cosmetic Add-ons, that stay purely cosmetic. If you need DPS meters, perhaps you should start enjoying the games themselves as they are instead of requiring excel sheets. But each to their own preferences. Just my two cents, and I'm back to game ->
