  1. Salvation is still such a powerful heal that to discount it would be a terrible idea to discount it. You should be using it almost on CD unless you are timing it for a specific event. And since you are using it anyways you may as well step in it to heal yourself. On fights like Nightmare Pilgrim and 16 man hard mode EC it counts for the bulk of my healing. as with at least the first few bosses I've seen groups stay somewhat stacked which is amazing for aoe healing.
  2. Well whether it's valid or not is pointless as we are tied into it with our regen model. We have no choice but to use it. Also losing 15% hp just to get 8% force that at least will partially be spent on getting that 15% back is just bad design. The class as it currently is is very clunky, not very forgiving resource wise, and not user friendly.
  3. I used Qyzen until I got Iresso then once I had some gear on Nadia I switched to her as my main companion. The tanking companions in this game seem to be weak in taking hits and holding threat that I found it's easier to just heal a DPS companion who will be able to kill things faster. I never bothered using Theran at all. He still has gear on him from when I got him.
  4. You have 3 ACs to choose from if you want to be a melee Jedi. Play a balance shadow if you want to melee with more force abilities. Sage needs work for sure but taking it towards melee is not the direction the AC needs to go otherwise the only reason to choose sage over a shadow would be if you want to heal.
  5. Easy fight if people watch their debuffs, the shield on NP, and cross-hairs on the ground. We did it with 2 tanks. Healing was pretty easy with 2 sages using salvation on CD and a commando and scoundrel on the tanks if I remember our comp correctly.
  6. I hope it never comes time to get rid of group content. These are optional quests that reward you for going that extra mile, getting a group, and working together.
  7. We had it happen to us a couple times if I remember correctly. Recently it hasn't been an issue tho. No idea what causes it, bug or otherwise.
  8. Just killed Stormcaller and Firebrand on 16 man hard mode the other night and I have to say that is the most healing intensive fight I've encountered yet. Going over my combat logs for the fight I noticed I was getting a good deal of my heals just because I had to sacrifice health for force with Noble Sacrifice. I find healing to be incredibly inefficient and more that I struggle against my class mechanics than I do with boss mechanics (Stormcaller hits hard as hell, very spiky damage). That said with Salvation and Force Armor we are still incredibly strong healers. The combat logs don't record the absorbs I contribute but I imagine it's a decent amount since I use FA a lot. In particular on the tank, DD soakers, and those in my shield group. FA is the strongest healing ability in the game if you ask me. Since we are all stacked on top of each other Salvation is very powerful and the bulk of my healing. We'll see how the rest of the healing goes as my guild progresses through hard mode and hopefully we get a little love before NiM comes out. I think Noble Sacrifice needs to be worked on as it is a terrible way to regen force if you ask me. I also don't like being tied to using Rejuvenate before every heal I throw out or otherwise be severely penalized. I'm not asking for easymode healing, I just would rather feel the pressure of a difficult boss than the pressure of a frustrating to play class.
  9. I don't even want to heal in PvP after these changes.
  10. The new Operation is very healing intensive. Been working on 16 man hard mode Stormcaller and Firebrand and the damage the tank takes is so random and spiky on Stormcaller that I can't help heal the Double Destruction soakers very well without letting the tank get low because my big heal is too slow. This means that when we hit the transition to go under shields the DD soaker in my group has a bit lower health and I have to struggle to heal him while moving to a shield. It's doable but very Force intensive while hurting myself just to regen. I realize hard mode is supposed to be hard but I should struggle more against the fight than the inefficiency of my class. I do not like the direction the nerfs have taken with sage at all. I think at the very least they need to lower the 15% health loss. Right now I don't even want to play my sage, I only do so because we need the healers. I am not enjoying it at all and I find myself not bothering to play my character at all outside raids. I want a dual spec so I could at least switch to a DPS spec to feel motivated to play my Sage outside Operations.
  11. Chicago here. I live in Lincoln Square. Originally from St. Charles.
  12. I think they only time I've used it is when everything else is on CD and my Deliverance gets interrupted in PvP just so I have some sort of heal button to hit. Even then I'd rather medpac it.
  13. If you are using noble sacrifice and taking damage from it you are doing it wrong. If you are putting 4 points to go into egress you are likely missing out on something that would be overall more beneficial to your build and to the team.
