  1. Being able to move windows now does help with figuring out what schematics to buy, but the system absolutely should tell you whether or not you already know the schematic BEFORE you even purchase it. It should be information included on the tool tip.
  2. I figured someone had made this suggestion before I did. I'd like to be able to purchase the companion specific gear as well. I also like the idea that MaximusRex just posted, that put in vendors that sold patterns for mod-able versions of the gear.
  3. True. Though, if you've managed to destroy all the things you're supposed to, why do you keep flying around in the area for the next few minutes? Wouldn't you fly away then, rather than letting the enemy take pot shots at you? You shouldn't be able to instantly leave, true. But it would be nice to be able to hit a command to tell the system to take the next available exit route.
  4. Giving this a bit of a bump.
  5. Thing is, it's NOT just the Sith Purebloods that have this issue. Miralukas and Twileks have their own variation of the issue as well. There's reports of people clipping through helms that they weren't before 1.2, as well. I believe it's all a related issue. If Bioware were to be honest, acknowledge that this was a bug, and put it on their Known Issues, I wouldn't be nearly as frustrated over it. This really is just a cosmetic issue. Stuff like the disappearing matrix cubes and the pet bug were game breaking problems, and they required priority. That's understandable, but Bioware needs to officially acknowledge this bug and put it on their Known Issues list.
  6. No way primary name changes are going to happen. Trolls would have a heyday with it. They'd be able to pester people, then change their name and "disappear". I can copy & paste just fine. I did it just last night. Server transfers are coming starting in early summer. You really should wait at least 24 hours before bumping your own thread.
  7. I spoke with one of the CSR droids IG last night regarding my Miraluka's missing helm. At first they said it was a known bug, so I asked why it wasn't on the Known Issues list here on the forums. First they said it was on their internal list, then he started asking me about the clipping. I pointed out that, while I used to have clipping, now I didn't even get that because I couldn't show my helm at all. Then he asked what hat I was wearing, and what robes, and then he told me that this issue WASN'T on their internal list. I'm not going to into the fact that, really, it should have already been on their list, since folks have been complaining about invisible helms since 1.2. That said, I recommend that everyone, every time they log in with the toon that's missing its hat, put in a bug report describing the problem, and also include the hat name and the upper torso item name. Maybe even include your body type. Also, make it a point (especially if you get a CSR to come chat with you) to ask why it's not on the Known Issues list in the Customer Service forum. Even if this is just a "temporary" fix, then it should be on that list.
  8. Your posting privileges have been revoked.
  9. Technically, Coruscant and Korriban are the "home worlds" of each side.
  10. I'm surprised there aren't several threads about this already¡
  11. Swoop racing was a part of the KOTOR games, of which SWTOR is a continuation. In fact, you visit the remains of a swoop track in the Taris Bonus Series. To be honest, I was surprised that it and Pazaak weren't already included in the game. Personally, I'd enjoy being able to "tinker" with a swoop racer or build a Pazaak deck. My main doesn't have a whole lot else to do other than doing a few dailies so he's got money for repairs for the few occasions enough of my guild is around to do FPs or Ops. Apologies for the run on sentence...
  12. I totally agree. I don't understand how the cruisers can still shoot with all their turrets destroyed, or how it can still fly (and get in my way) when all the engines are destroyed.
  13. Devs have said that they're planning on adding additional character slots at some point.
  14. Just wanted to add my voice of approval to the general idea of being able to customize your ship.
  15. I'd be surprised if this hasn't been suggested before, but I'd like the opportunity to be able to purchase items out of companion gear sets that are offered as quest rewards. My companions tend to end up with just a mishmash of garish gear, except for the one that I've been grabbing the gear for. Of course, you'd have to complete the associated quest in order to purchase the gear that was offered for it. Maybe a vendor on each planet that sells the items that were potential rewards on a previous planet? Our companions would look decent, and it would be another money sink for the game.
  16. Minor point of order: You could hide helmets before, you just had to go into Settings to do it. My Miraluka was hiding her current helm because the clipping was so bad. Her previous two helms, though, looked fine even with the clipping, so I CHOSE to show them. That's the real point, though, innit? If I didn't like the way something clipped through, I could hide the helm. If I didn't mind it - or notice it - then I could choose to let it show. Claiming that they've removed a feature - without any sort of patch notes - as a fix for an issue that already had stopgap fix in place is just utter BS. When this first happened, I assumed it was a bug. If Bioware had continued calling it a bug, and not suddenly change their tune to "working as intended", I could live with it. It's a cosmetic issue, and while I would have liked to have seen the bug fixed, I would have understood that other game breaking bugs took precedence. Now, though, I'm told it's not a bug, but the way it's supposed to be, despite months of it being different. They didn't implement this as a fix for the clipping. Just look at all the other head slot changes (again, without patch notes). Jedi hoods aren't as deep as they were, multiple helmets have significant clipping now that didn't prior to 1.2, and certain helmets flat out disappeared from several races. It's obvious to me that they tweaked something on the heads for some unknown reason (which is probably why helmets weren't unifying properly at first), and instead of wanting to admit to having broken something AGAIN, they're pretending it's supposed to be that way. If this really is working as intended now, then how come they haven't fixed it so that my Pureblood Sith's voice isn't distorted when he's wearing his invisible helmet? How does intentionally making the item invisible but leaving the audio effect make sense at all? Come on, Bioware. Stop spitting on us and telling us it's raining.
  17. Actually, this is the Customer Service folder, not the Suggestion Box (edit: this thread has since been moved). Be that as it may, if you don't want other people commenting on your ideas - don't post them. There's other ways to get them to the devs if you can't handle being critiqued. Also, if you don't want your idea bashed, it really helps if it's a good idea that will actually improve the game, not just dumb it down and make it easier. The suggestion of you wanting level 50 characters from generation was merely an extension of the idea that you were already proposing, and was used in an effort to demonstrate just how unreasonable your proposal was. I realize that Bioware has provided this particular can of worms, but it takes an Easy Bake Bunny to actually open it. Incidentally, you only need to describe the aforementioned can of worms as "proverbial" once, not every time you mention it.
  18. #1. Don't be so lazy. #2. It's been 10 years since I've played Everquest, so I honestly don't remember their race/class restrictions, but I know for a fact that WoW has race/class restrictions. If you're going to try and build an argument for your position, at least use proper facts. #3. I can name on one hand the number of multiracial RPGs (much less MMOs) that don't have race/class restrictions. In fact, most of the games that DO allow any race to any class gear their races to be better for particular classes. SWTOR is one of the few that doesn't do that. #4. If you are so lazy that you can't be bothered to get a character to 50 to unlock a race, save your credits and buy that other race. I'll admit that this is my shakiest point, as you're probably too lazy to do that. As a side note, I bet you're probably really peeved that you can't just roll up a new character and have it come out of the generator at level 50...
  19. Man, I really wish there were a whole bunch of threads about this, because then folks could just read them without having to create new ones¡
  20. They tweak things when they feel they're needed. IOW, just because you think your class needs some sort of buff, doesn't mean that Bioware agrees. You should go make your case in the Suggestions folder.
  21. "Tracking the Origin" starts at the space ports - you simply have to be observant and willing to poke around. Granted, if someone is blind or lazy, they'll miss it...
  22. They gave you a location - Tatooine. And there WAS a quest at the star port - you just missed it.
  23. I completely agree with the OP¡ I'm upset that the quests weren't spoonfed to me¡ I expected a GM to show up at the spaceport and lead me around to all the places I needed to go¡ I'm paying $15 a month for this and Bioware is making this game too hard for me to play¡ I mean, seriously - I have to explore?!
  24. If you really wanted to limit yourself to using something like an Xbox controller, there's plenty of videos out there that show you how to set something up like that for use with MMOs. Granted, it's not just spoon fed to you, so you'll have to expend a little bit of effort to make it happen, but anyone with a modicum of intelligence could figure it out.
