A suggestion, I would not set Doc just to heal you. If you buy him a decent weapon and upgrade his gear, he can help dish out damage when he's not healing you. Like the previous post, you have to 'enable' his other abilities. As for the gear, that's a good question and I'll closely follow the suggestion of others as I don't know what kind of gear to buy for him.

In my opinion, leave it as is. This is a Star Wars based game (it's got to align to the Star Wars lore/story), if you want dual spec...there's WoW, Rift, etc.

I've been plagued with this 'bug' since launch. I've downloaded the game 4 times already! I've re-installed Windows 7 once (format the drive and checked it for errors). I keep 3 different copies of the game (C partition, external USB drive and in a virtual machine). I dread any updates mainly because every time I have to patch, the launcher finds damaged files and the repair process starts...to the point where every time the repair process starts I end up downloading up to 10 GB of data! Every single patch! Yesterday, before I logged off for the night, I ran a repair (mainly because I knew there was a patch on the way); well, today, as I'm typing this message, the repair process has started again...and yet again, I'm downloading another 10 GB of data. What gives!? Anyone out there has similar issues or any suggestions?

Hm, no one uses the Combat Medic tree?

So, I'm going to try the combat medic tree, and I was wondering what are the most recommended abilities for healing. Also, how does the trooper compare to other healing classes?

I think some of you have good, and valid, points, but no matter what we say on this forum, there has to be a way to prove it with data, and then show this data to the team/people that matter most (the makers of the game). We can argue all we want, but the issue (if, in fact, there is one) will not be addressed if the Bioware team isn't aware of this. Also facts are needed, not screenshots or "I think" or "I feel" or "other classes don't...."; we need hard numeric data to back this up. This company spent years in making this game, they spent months in beta and I'm sure someone in their beta team must have pointed out an issue with this class during beta (if there was an issue with the class). I do too play this class, but coming from a developer point of view...if you can't show me data, then I have to way to fix this and by such, I'll move to my next major proven issue (and I'm sure they have tons that they're working on). Just my two cents.

Recently I reached level 29, and moved to Alderraan to continue the journey. Companion I use most of the time is Kira, and currently I'm spec'ed in Combat. In the mid 20's I realized that this character was a bit squishy, so I made sure that I kept up with gear/sabers upgraded, which helped a bit. I've reached Alderraan and I'm having such a hard time killing groups of 30's; my toon's health drops almost below 20%, and Kiara's health drops just below 50% (yes, I send her into battle first). Reading some posts here I notice that most people use Watchman for leveling; should I be doing the same? So here are some questions I have: 1. Should I be using Kira as my companion? If not, what's the next best option? 2. Is Watchman superior for leveling or am I just not using Combat properly? Thanks!
