  1. I'm still subbing to this game and here are my thoughts: When I stop subbing I won't invite others to suffer through a "my thoughts" post. I'll just leave.
  2. Because he forgot more about heavy metal than you'll ever remember, possibly.
  3. I could easily full-stop there. Eh, I'll ramble a bit. You folks keep stuffing new hair styles into the Cartel market that can be used by pretty much every hair-bearing species (i.e. not twi'leks, not rattataki, and sometimes zabraks), except Cathar. And truthfully, I don't know why. There's nothing about the head model of a male or female Cather that would make it difficult to use 95% of the hairs that exist for all species. And while I get that you pick out a few for each to keep a distinctive look, I don't know if "distinctive" should be defined as "cut and paste a smattering of zabrak hair onto 'em and call it a day" either. Then there's the saleability. I'd buy a hair pack for Cathar at this point. I imagine a lot of people would. The models are already there, so what gives? Think you could stop with the Cathar hair hate? My half-dozen or so characters- half of which wear hoods to avoid looking like the others- will thank you. Cheers.
  4. You set yourself up for a fight the moment you suggested the game needs "saving"- and worse, urgently so. Regardless of whether your suggestions are helpful- or come from a genuine desire to be helpful, this is the sort of language you really want to avoid in MMO forums. Unrelated: I'ma sing the Doom Song now.
  5. Must be the case. At this point a "Cathar Hair Pack" in the Cartel market would be so much easy money for them, they'd be fools not to. 1. Put a bunch of hairs you already made models for (mixture of old and new, maybe) in the pack 2. Flip the "Cathar Can Use" switch to 'on'. 3. Watch the money roll in. I certainly can't think of a rational reason for it otherwise.
  6. The bit I don't get is- they keep adding hairstyles to the game that persistently, and SPECIFICALLY exclude Cathar from using them. Every newly-released hair pretty much allows for everyone except Cathar. If they were, say, Twi'leks, or some other race with a non-standard head, I could understand that. There is nothing so bizarre about the Cathar head model that all these new styles wouldn't fit on them as easily as almost any other race. So what the heck? Is there another plan here or what? If so, when?
  7. I am saying my sense of achievement is just fine. I do not need to derive it from this game to enjoy myself. I also do not equate arbitrarily set difficulties with achievement in the first place- but that's a different discussion, perhaps. Because you are very unsubtly attempting to construct a false narrative in which you are qualified to speak for me and what I do or do not need in order to feel achieved. Once again: you're not. When you say I am missing something I am not- in fact- missing, then yes, that is exactly what we are talking about. You are- your sense of achievement- as a sub-function of how much you enjoy the game. No. I do not seek achievement or accomplishment. A game by definition is a waste of resources I could profitably be spending elsewhere. I accept this as fact. Moreover I believe this is precisely the point of leisure time- NOT doing anything profitable with it. I do not need to make excuses for it by convincing myself that I am doing something meaningful. Doing nothing is it's own excuse. Pretty much from here on our your narrative goes fundamentally off-rails. And this is because, once again, you and I do not play this game for the same reasons. I don't expect you to understand this. I expect you to stop claiming you do.
  8. Because there are a surprising number of people who think that a doctor telling you to lose weight is a sign of a crappy doctor- even when you are a morbidly obese 500lbs....
  9. Writing a short ballad praising the sheen of Andryah's hair and spending half a post claiming how much you don't care about what Andryah says is functionally indistinguishable to an outside observer. That said, I happen to agree- "get stuck less" isn't a valid solution.
  10. That's not a half bad suggestion. Thank you. Ideally though, you'd think you'd want to fix a bug that could leave a player unable to use his level 55 main for a day. Assuming "bug" is the right term for it. It feels more like "oversight" to me.
  11. Then you're not hearing correctly. I obviously derive something from playing this game. A sense of achievement is not that thing, and it will never be that thing. When a dev can tweak a bit of code and set the bar higher or lower (as is always the case with MMOs), I do not feel "achieved" by toeing that line. I am also okay with this. Because it's not what I'm here for. I don't think I am better than you. I think I am different from you. I think I derive my enjoyment from this game in different ways- and I resent it rather deeply when someone opts to speak for everyone by suggesting "the sense of achievement is completely missing here". Your sense of achievement may be. Mine lies elsewhere. Please stop presuming to take my part- or anyone elses, for that matter. Your own sense of achievement is your own.
