  1. If im honest i like the swapping of modifications to achieve best available final stats, it adds depth to the game and is what any MMO needs. The gear should be good enough to compete or complete all content, as it stands...but the smart players should be able to go the extra mile. I do agree at the moment the stats are a little off for some of the classes....and should be looked at for future gear sets. But please dont take away an awesome feature of the game by making it too casual friendly. If anything the only thing that is broken with the system, is the cost of extracting all the modifications.......as an earlier post mentioned im sick and tired of doing dailies to fund this. Even with the reduction in price this is still too expensive.....and needs to be at least reduced by half.........god forbid to change my custom look now would cost me a million. Bioware have to remember people normally collect a main set and a off set for PVE , add to that a PVP set and your talking enough dailies to put you off the bloody game for good.
  2. Ok where do I start …… I think main points are • Game was rushed into release without key features implemented and general game bugs corrected. • A game engine not capable of running an MMO, to its full potential. • Poor communication from the developer on all aspects, server transfers, timeline of content release without unrealistic targets. Does anyone believe new content every six weeks once we go F2P……I sure don’t? • Not enough for the player base to do at end game. • Load times for planets and general optimisation for different computer systems. Below is just one part of the game, believe me I could have written a book on all aspects of the game and ways they could have improved. The Levelling Experience First time round I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the levelling experience. However the replay value in this is not as high as other games, with only the class stories holding any appeal for alternative character levelling. • To much emphasis placed on voicing all quests, planet story line and class story would have been sufficient for the wow factor. By voicing all quests in the game…. this has impacted both the cost and time factor involved for producing any content and future content in the game. • The majority of the planets are far too linear and you are driven down set paths….be this through the quests themselves or the false walls put up in the game to separate zones….the prime example of this is Taris. The only planets that managed to have any open world feel to them were Alderaan, Hoth and Tattoine. • Planets lacked any soul to them and felt too lifeless, no day and night cycles, no weather effects of any note. Plus the NPC’s that littered the game felt like they had been put there and were not there for any reason. I think the best way to look at this as an example, is a holo cantina band in every rest zone…..A small touch like a live band playing would have added character, and been a RP players dream come true…even if they did play the same five songs. • No multiple path levelling…this could have affected how your class stories panned out in the long run. And made the replay valve of characters more appealing. • No open world interaction with the opposite faction, too many barriers were put in place to purposely keep the factions apart…..you don’t even feel like your at war or on the brink of war at all. • To pass up the use of Tauntaun mounts on Hoth is just criminal…..our speeders are having trouble adapting to the cold…… I mean come on.
  3. Yes I agree the game is desperate for some new raiding content. I am a member of a raiding guild which has cleared all content on both eight and sixteen man. At present the majority of our members need only one or two drops, in order to maximise there current gear to its full potential. What you also have to take into account is that most of us, were playing on dying servers before the mergers took place, which also slowed our progress. Guilds this didn’t affect must have been geared ages ago, and have either un-subbed or are in the process of gearing their alts. Patch 1.3 brought easier alternatives for players to obtain Black Hole commendation’s, thus allowing for faster progress to be made. Bioware would have to be very naïve to introduce this….. Should new content not be on the horizon. Personally I am not a massive fan of these shortcuts, should there not be enough content, This would have been better introduced once the new operation had landed. With the three tier structure of raiding story mode, hard mode and nightmare, Bioware have to be very careful not to make the content to accessible to players straight away. Every player needs something to aim for whether they are a casual or hardcore player, by doing this it grants a sense of achievement and keep players returning for more. If not players will burn through the content and leave Bioware in a constant struggle of trying to pump out content, in order to keep the retention of player subscriptions. I think vast improvements have been made to raiding since the Tier One content, and Bioware have shown they are learning quickly. Denova has some interesting and sometimes challenging trash pulls, and a vast improvement on difficulty for boss encounters. Kudos to Bioware keep challenging us and ramping up the difficulty. For future content id like to see more of the same on the trash between fights, with clever use of crowd control a must for clearing. There is nothing worse then mindless trash to kill between boss fights, with no skill or coordination required. Maybe instead of trash it would be nice to have a gauntlet style obstacle course, for players to make there way through. Imagine being fired upon by shielded turrets whilst trying to negotiate you way through timed hazards and jumping sections, in order to reach the switches….. required to power down the turret shields, thus making them vulnerable. As far as boss fights go more of the same please, I have really enjoyed all encounters so far….. and I think its nice to have a puzzle one, it has become a signature of SWTOR operations. It would be nice if we could have more then four bosses in future operations and keep making content harder…….challenge us and we will return for more…
  4. Dont get me wrong im happier im not on a ghost town server anymore ....however Queues have been half an hour.......which sucks if you have limited time after work .....and have a tight schedule to make an evening raid. But even worse if you disconnect or anyone in your operation disconnects........you must wait again ...this ruined our Sunday Operation. Plus the lag i have experienced so far is not accpetable....Black Hole being the worse area for this.
  5. It really saddens me Bioware’s lack of urgency…. on resolving or at least giving us an accurate timeline, regarding the Lord Calypho transfers. So this is how Bioware repay some of your loyal customers on Lord Calypho, which have stuck through the game through its infancy and problems associated with this…..with silence. We get a token yellow post which does not answer anything….and are still expected to wait….ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. People have waited long enough and answers on your planned proposals/actions are needed.
  6. i agree with everything you have said if im honest, i play both an agent and merc heals and can heal any content on both that we have on farm. However the merc is less forgiving, and you have to work alot harder to achieve this. To enable us to learn new content where people are making mistakes, i have to take my agent everytime. The bounty hunter can not be pulled back from resource lockout, quickly enough like the agent can. I hate all the learn to play reponses you see, as i can play both of my healers well, but the simple truth is when i am on my game........my Bounty Hunter will never compete with my Agent
  7. You can still heal on a Merc competitively; however it’s not for the faint hearted to manage heat effectively. I have both a Merc healer and a Imperial Agent, both well geared enough to heal hard mode Denova. The simple difference between the two is you can pull peoples mistakes back a lot quicker on the Agent, regardless if you have your o crap moves on cool down. The Bounty Hunter on the other hand can sometimes be limited, thus requiring yours cool downs to be available to get you out of these situations, without heat locking yourself. Don’t get me wrong I can heal on both characters and even though I prefer my Bounty Hunter, I would have to say that it is weaker in comparison to the Imperial Agent. The numbers don’t lie and multiple people have run tests, and sadly the Bounty Hunters lag behind the other healers. That does not mean you can’t do a decent job, but you just have to work harder to do so. A well played Merc healer will always be viable, but will never come close in healing numbers, to a well played Sorc or Imperial Agent.
  8. It is nice to finally have received a yellow post in this thread from Bioware, at least now we now know the situation is being looked at. I do hope Bioware are quick in resolving the issue and give us a response sooner rather then later, on there intentions. I have skimmed through a lot of the replies, since the yellow post and tend to agree with the following. To give us the option either to move to a PVP or RP-PVE destination, this can be changed, rotated week by week should Bioware remain with the policy of one designation server. However I do disagree with the suggested remedy of unifying all language types of RP-PVP servers. There is no point on having three mini servers on one server, and trade chat would be a miss-mash of three languages. As I have stated above i do hope Bioware are quick in forthcoming with a remedy. The longer it is left the more players they risk losing, and more importantly the risk of losing character names should we have to transfer.
  9. That’s the whole point....its Biowares lack of communication on giving an answer. All it would take is for them to make a simple reply to these posts. By doing this they could clarify what they plan to do, or even at worst tell us considerations are being made with regard to Lord Calypho. No wonder they are losing costumers when they cant take time to do a five minute post
  10. I have waited patiently for 1.3… and i have flirted with the cancellation of my subscription on numerous occasions. Most of the guilds on Lord Calypho have either merged or are dying a slow death. Bioware really needs to make some response and clarify what its plans are for its player base on Lord Calypho, being the only RP – PVP server I originally choose an RP- PVP option for the following reasons. RP servers are renowned for having a more mature community, and also having the option to PVP was personally a win for me. To simply give the option to transfer to a PVP server is not good enough. Bioware need to make an exception in the case of Lord Calypho, giving the community the option to either transfer to an RP or PVP server. Remember we originally all choose our destination servers for a reason. As the active playerbase on Lord Calypho has stayed loyal to Bioware whilst they try to establish this game, I suggest they repay some of this, by listening and responding to the Lord Calypho’s community.
  11. I have always supported this game from the start, and have also found a vast majority of posts on these forums, over the top in their criticism of the game to say the least. Ok ill be the first one to also admit, that Bioware have made a ton of naïve mistakes, in the production and launch of the game. But above all I would like to commend them on making a truly good game……..its a shame they didn’t propel it to a unbelievable and mind blowing MMO as we probably all hoped for. I will explain all my reasoning in the post, so if you have patience to read it…..i would love some feedback. The saga so far….and improvements Bioware could have made Questing I would have to say the class stories were an absolute joy to play….. Big thumbs up on this Bioware, however I feel you went a little OTT on the cinematic cut scenes, the fully voiced scenes should have been kept as Class Quest and Planet Chain Quest only. I watched all on my first character played, but only watched class on my second character and skipped through all the others….In my opinion a massive waste of time and resource to produce for all quests, when the vast majority of players see little replay value in them. The other quests could been area quests that popped up as a text message as you entered an area, or been obtain via the bounty boards at rest zones. It’s unfortunate that questing made you follow a pre determined path on most planets, which in turn took away the feeling of an open world game, which any decent MMO should aim for. By taking us down these set quest routes, you also tended to avoid any interaction with the opposing faction I feel the MMO community is crying out for some innovation when it comes to the type of quests you carry out. The usual standard kill x amount of these or collect x amount of these have to be in any MMO I agree, but to what extent? We have seen improvement in the quests with the new black hole dailies… I hope Bioware continues this trend. I would have loved to have seen when starting on the planet Hoth….our speeders are having trouble adapting to the cold you will have to go out on Tauntauns. It’s the small touches like this that truly make a game. PVP Overall PVP is another solid part of the game, which has a stable foundation to build from for future content. All warzones are well designed, with Huttball being the stand out zone of content available. Please Bioware add more maps for Huttball, as the mechanics for this game are first class. When rated matches are introduced it will hopefully take the competitive nature of PVP, to a new level. However I think the fleet was a poor choice for competitors to stand and queue for events. I feel this could have been better implemented on a planet like Hutta or Tattooine, inside a hutt palace as a neutral faction zone. That way both factions could queue and make fun of each other after matches, with the use of emotes etc. I would also like to see, fight to the death arena style matches with teams of 12 v12 or maybe 15 v 15 taking part. With larger teams you would not be affected by the class balancing issues Blizzard has encountered with their arena fights. To make maybe three arenas with Huttball style hazards, of fire and acid players can utilise for quick kills. There would be no respawning after death, so clever use of your surroundings would be vital to your team’s victory. You could even take this one step further and allow players a spectator mode, in which they could gamble credits with the hutts, on arena matches taking place. With betting odds for the player with most kills, first death and which teams would win etc. Competitors gambling odds could be gained from there ranking of competing in these events. This would give bragging rights to players who are low prices with the bookmakers, and add a competitive nature to the event. I will do a continuation post if I receive solid feedback from this, where I will cover other aspects of the game.
  12. The main thing im worried about is i play on an RP-PVP server, and their is only three servers of this type. I play on the English server and their are also two others a French and German Laugauge, which discounts these out from merging. Their are eight other RP servers in total (well in other words RP-PVE) but as Bio-ware have stated no transfers will be made from PVP to PVE. So my question is where does this leave us? They will either do two things Give us the option to transfer to a RP server....i dont think they will be transfering from other RP servers to ours because of the PVP part of our RP server. Or they will give PVP servers the option to transfer to our RP - PVP which i hope they dont do. Players that choose an RP option in their server , are a different type of player that would choose PVP servers. In my opinion if they go down this road it kill the community on our server.

  14. I agree that their is not enough schematics for the orange gear available in the game, and more should be made available to customize your apperance. At present my main character has the legacy belt and bracers.....both guns and his chest piece as custom augment armour. But will i be forced to grind my valor rank once i start getting campaign gear?.... At the moment the answer is yes due to the lack of options available. Bioware should implement the following. 1/ Make schematics drop from low level flashpoints to enable learning of orange gear sets avalible in these. This would aid leveling players, with the credits.... they can make selling these to high level crafters. 2/ A choice to buy the schematic instead of a armour piece when completing heroic quests. 3/ Schematics for high level columi/rakata sets available to purchase with tionese cystals. This would encouraged geared players to still run the flashpoints. Also most of the armour sets are just chest/legs/helm ...... it would be better to finish these sets with glove and boot schematics, thus not forcing limited options i.e pvp sets.
