+1 SWTOR was probably the last (hopefully final) hotkey based MMO of this generation, the ones that work have stood the test of time and i feel SWTOR came out just at the end of the era for this, people want something new and there are alot more of them compared to even 4-5 years ago, with those comes a very vocal minority too and that is generally what you see on these forums. Like any genre bar maybe FPS there are new generations within gaming and i reckon that the hotkey based MMO with a static world is coming to a swift end as proved here.

So if reading i'm reading past your ridiculous demands correctly, your saying that this game and this game alone should have its employees (specifically those in the dev dept) chained to their desks and made to live and sleep there to develop content because they failed to keep the vocal minority happy in an MMO, that as much as i like was the last of the dying breed of hotkey based MMOs, despite any other and every other MMO in the past having never done anything like the release schedule your proposing with your brilliantly disguised undertone of sarcasm. Lemme think...... geee if i act like a entitled little kid and reiterate stuff thats already been beaten into the ground i might just get what i want?.... maybe i should put more spaces filled with dots and add more stupid demands too.... The main problem with 3rd party add-ons was that a lot of them by the end pretty much played the game for you, i believe sometime in the past (and don't quote me on this) that the devs stated they didn't want this, that's why they made the UI customizable in the game itself

Couldn't resist, with such an announcement comes over eager nay-Sayers and fan boys alike. This threat in particular just seemed even more pointless on top of the already pointless threads

You just pay the 40k the once, so if you get the legacy perk at level 10 for example you pay the 40k via the legacy window and your all trained and ready to go then, you don't go to the trainer and pay another 40k after

Queued for about 15mins as a DPS smuggler earlier this afternoon (5pm gmt give or take an hour) got the teleport which worked nicely, got a nice group consisting of one from each class (JK, JC, Smuggler and Trooper) which i was quite happy to see, cleared Taral V in about, 30mins or so. Overall a good tool, will be using it almost constantly on my BH merc healer im now leveling (side note, mount at level 10 is just too good)

I see it like this, i do the dailies for commendations for gear, i get credits as a by product to further increase the worth of my character which i want anyway, only when i have absolutely everything and i'm just saving credits and/or commendations for the hell of it do i see that as a grind. But by that point i roll an alt, experience that story/class play style and repeat. Slightly grindy in itself but i am aware of what an MMO is at the end of the day, a long term game intended to fill up a long period of time but show progress visually and mechanically.

This seems pretty similar to most games forums I've encountered, even more so with ones that include an authenticator of sorts.

I know that certain helmet/mask and hooded robe combos do work, my sith marauder for example has a full head helmet and a light armor robe im using at the moment purely because it looks awesome.

Grinds are designed to keep you playing, thus is one of the classic MMO staples that you can always go back to.

What i find most odd here is that you have waited until late june to comment on this? To each their own i guess but this kind of thing has been happening across the industry for a few years now, a lot of companies and websites do it nowadays, MMOs more so than most, Blizzard being a prime example and even with having left WoW sometime ago i still took the time to check their april fools for this year.

It doesn't scale but as said above you can trade it in for a level 50 one for about 20k credits on either Dromund Kass or Coruscant for one with whichever stat for your class

So thirteen years, and in those have you ever had an experience where a P2P MMO has offered such a service as to freeze your exsisting gametime for use at a later date? Because in the 10 or so years i've played various games i sure havn't, and i've always resolved to the fact that it's a pretty damn fair system, at the time of purchase or renewal i am accepting that i wish to pay for access between X and Y date. Also alot of your other issues seem to be a little odd from someone who has played other MMOs before, your fighting a mob and another one comes near, sure its gonna aggro. But as with most posts of this nature your pretty much set on what you want to think, and its not for me nor anyone else save those you have a gripe with to change it, all i'll say is calm down a bit, take a step back and think if its worth getting rilled up over something thats meant to be used to kill free time.

I have often thought this while browsing these forums, its very much a "Others should be doing stuff for me" rather than "We should be doing stuff for each other" kind of mentality in MMOs and in alot of online "communities" for the past few years now. People started getting spoon-fed what they wanted and now that has become the perseved norm for most. While it is apprently hard to teach an old dog new tricks it seems to be even harder to unteach people to rely on a system built for them and take some time to do for themselves. Anywho, agree with OP, nicely put, hope something good comes of it.

Nope, if my past experience of MMOs is anything to go on that $15 a month your paying for is your "rental" of the account and access to the servers, of course it goes into alot of other things too (Upkeep of the company itself, payment of their staff, development costs for future content ect ect) but that is all just a by-product of a large scale game with an incoming payment, they want you to continue paying that, so they add new features or content and offer support with that too. Generally coming onto a forum to poorly vocalise your frustration is for your benefit alone. If something is going to happen about low server pops ect its because they look at the numbers and decide "We want these people to keep paying us this money, we better get on a solution to keep them and/or have people who have left return to giving us this money" I'd say just relax a bit, getting all angry about something that is meant to be something your doing in your free time to simply kill said free time isn't worth it, they've said they're on it, they're on it.

I am noticing a trend on these forums as of late with alot of female posters and their love for alot of these male NPCs, quite interesting to see. Anywho i think for a Male Smuggler there are a fair few options for possible romances since you do get around quite alot in the class story alone, Beryl Thorne leaps to mind right away, it was awkward enough running into her the second time with Risha had certain events unfolded. Theres also the Girl from Nar Shadaa, the noble woman from Alderaan and a few others scattered around that are obviously one night stands but some have potential.
