  1. Is this happening anytime soon? Oh, and once again, cross server play please devs. Reduce those god awful queue times. If it means greater ping from time to time, so be it - when the Amercians play on our server, they'll have to deal with it, too.
  2. Make the credit limit 0. The currency restraints are perfect. make people work for it. Also, make PVP cross server please like many other games.
  3. But we played with that ms, prior to the creation of the new server? What's the problem? I had Exitlag for SWTOR (and only SWTOR). That being said, I also ran it for WOW, BG3, D4 & Cyberpunk - why? Because I already have it. Since the server creation, I've deleted Exitlag. Then again, I only really play SWTOR and at times BG3, nowadays. As I write, I've now been in queue from 12.31pm - 12.47pm (both arenas and full WZ's). I love this game - I just want to play it.
  4. Well, you've sucked the positivity & hope for improvement in the game right out of me, so congratulations - job well done. I'm only back here today replying, because I'm sitting on fleet, waiting for an activity to pop, bored. But hey, the performance is great !! I won't be back - but don't worry, I'm sure you can pour cold water over many others who might have ideas or suggestions as well.
  5. Okay, I'll draft up a PVP specific post to the PVP'ers and post it on the forum based on your instruction. Then I'll resub to WOW (pay for it), level up, acquire ExitLag again (and subscribe to that), to make sure you have proof based on your instruction. Would that satisfy you? LOL If you don't think people would jump through hoops to get consistent and regular pops, I don't know what else to say. Again, rather than dragging others down, make up some ideas of your own to improve: 1. Population issues; 2. Regularity of being able to play activities (GSF, Flashpoints, Ops, PVP etc). Try and do it in a positive way - there's no need to attack Broadsword who above are showing they are willing and open to listen. BTW, have you played OW (Overwatch)? Did you know there will be times when you play on local servers, and there are also times where you play on OS servers? Yes, the ping varies. But at the same time, people are receptive based on the fact they get regular matches. People leave games in my opinion when there is lack of activity. And that's a slope that builds momentum.
  6. Well, one, I've played it. Two, I have ExitLag which tracks the highway & traffic (including server demographic) So to answer, I've both experienced and viewed it
  7. Why would I post it in the PVP section, where cross server is relevant to PVP, OPS, Flashpoints, GSF & all the other games activities? This isn't a me thing. I was frustrated on Star Forge and Satele Shan with the pop times across the game. I'm not trying to be argumentative with you, I'm just sharing my experience, and what I think would improve the game.
  8. Okay, you've just face-palmed me. I've got 8 people in Discord with me, and I asked them each what their thought's were, and I have a 100% take up rate that they would like not only cross server PVP, but also Flashpoints and other gaming activities. So that makes me 9. Therefore, if 1 out of 10 agree with you (that 1 being you), maybe , just maybe rather than trying to make my idea sound foolish or silly, with your emoji's and comments, you could open your mind to it, and agree, that it has worked well in other games. Also, here are the demographics of WoW's servers (so for you to suggest cross server is about what's best for just ME, well that's 🤦‍♀️, sorry): 1 Servers in the US region 1.1 US Pacific 1.1.1 Pacific PvE servers 1.1.2 Pacific PvP servers 1.1.3 Pacific RP servers 1.1.4 Pacific RP-PvP servers 1.2 US Mountain 1.2.1 Mountain PvE servers 1.2.2 Mountain PvP servers 1.2.3 Mountain RP servers 1.2.4 Mountain RP-PvP servers 1.3 US Central 1.3.1 Central PvE servers 1.3.2 Central PvP servers 1.3.3 Central RP servers 1.3.4 Central RP-PvP servers 1.4 US Eastern 1.4.1 Eastern PvE servers 1.4.2 Eastern PvP servers 1.4.3 Eastern RP servers 1.4.4 Eastern RP-PvP servers 1.5 Oceania sub-region 1.5.1 Oceania PvE servers 1.5.2 Oceania PvP servers 1.5.3 Oceania RP servers 1.5.4 Oceania RP-PvP servers 1.6 Latin America sub-region 1.6.1 Latin America PvE servers 1.6.2 Latin America PvP servers 1.6.3 Latin America RP servers 1.6.4 Latin America RP-PvP servers 1.7 Brazil sub-region 1.7.1 Brazil PvE servers 1.7.2 Brazil PvP servers 1.7.3 Brazil RP servers 1.7.4 Brazil RP-PvP servers 2 Servers in Europe region 2.1 English sub-region 2.1.1 PvE Servers, English 2.1.2 PvP Servers, English 2.1.3 RP Servers, English 2.1.4 RP-PvP Servers, English 2.2 French sub-region 2.2.1 PvE Servers, French 2.2.2 PvP Servers, French 2.2.3 RP Servers, French 2.2.4 RP-PvP Servers, French 2.3 German sub-region 2.3.1 PvE Servers, German 2.3.2 PvP Servers, German 2.3.3 RP Servers, German 2.3.4 RP-PvP Servers, German 2.4 Spanish sub-region 2.4.1 PvE Servers, Spanish 2.4.2 PvP Servers, Spanish 2.4.3 RP Servers, Spanish 2.4.4 RP-PvP Servers, Spanish 2.5 Russian sub-region 2.5.1 PvE Servers, Russian 2.5.2 PvP Servers, Russian 2.5.3 RP Servers, Russian 2.5.4 RP-PvP Servers, Russian 2.6 Italian sub-region 2.6.1 PvE Servers, Italian 2.6.2 PvP Servers, Italian 2.6.3 RP Servers, Italian 2.6.4 RP-PvP Servers, Italian 3 Servers in China region 3.1 Region 1, China (Shanghai, China Telecom) 3.1.1 PvE Servers, Region 1, China 3.1.2 PvP Servers, Region 1, China 3.1.3 RP Servers, Region 1, China 3.1.4 RP-PvP Servers, Region 1, China 3.2 Region 2, China (Beijing, China Netcom) 3.2.1 PvE Servers, Region 2, China 3.2.2 PvP Servers, Region 2, China 3.2.3 RP Servers, Region 2, China 3.2.4 RP-PvP Servers, Region 2, China 3.3 Region 3, China (Sichuan, China Telecom) 3.3.1 PvE Servers, Region 3, China 3.3.2 PvP Servers, Region 3, China 3.3.3 RP Servers, Region 3, China 3.3.4 RP-PvP Servers, Region 3, China 3.4 Region 4, China (Guangdong, China Telecom) 3.4.1 PvE Servers, Region 4, China 3.4.2 PvP Servers, Region 4, China 3.4.3 RP Servers, Region 4, China 3.4.4 RP-PvP Servers, Region 4, China 3.5 Region 5, China (Shanghai, China Telecom) 3.5.1 PvE Servers, Region 5, China 3.5.2 PvP Servers, Region 5, China 3.5.3 RP Servers, Region 5, China 3.5.4 RP-PvP Servers, Region 5, China 3.6 Region 6, China (Beijing, China Netcom) 3.6.1 PvE Servers, Region 6, China 3.6.2 PvP Servers, Region 6, China 3.6.3 RP Servers, Region 6, China 3.6.4 RP-PvP Servers, Region 6, China 3.7 Region 7, China 3.7.1 PvE Servers, Region 7, China 3.7.2 PvP Servers, Region 7, China 3.7.3 RP Servers, Region 7, China 3.7.4 RP-PvP Servers, Region 7, China 3.8 Region 8, China 3.8.1 PvE Servers, Region 8, China 3.8.2 PvP Servers, Region 8, China 3.8.3 RP Servers, Region 8, China 3.8.4 RP-PvP Servers, Region 8, China 3.9 Taiwan 3.9.1 PvE Servers, Taiwan 3.9.2 PvP Servers, Taiwan 3.9.3 RP Servers, Taiwan 3.9.4 RP-PvP Servers, Taiwan 4 Servers in Korea 4.1 PvE Servers, Korea 4.2 PvP Servers, Korea 4.3 RP Servers, Korea 4.4 RP-PvP Servers, Korea
  9. Then how do WOW, New World & FF14 do it so perfectly well? What you're saying is it can't be reasonably done - well I've just given you perfect examples of where and how it can be! On top of that WOW's population is astronomically larger than SWTOR's. So I don't agree you're right, and I think I've shown and proven you otherwise. The examples are plain and there for you to see. Those games also have Eur servers
  10. Again, WAY too negative and miserable of a post. It feels like negativity, for the sake of being negative. You say "There's another thread, no to zero credits, people charging you real money, don't give them ideas, additional costs would drive people away" - ooof man. How about this: What is YOUR ideas for increasing population, and decreasing queue wait times? Rather than dissecting everyone else's ideas & shooting them down, come up with some yourself???? That might actually add value to the community. Like I said, the ONLY issue with the server, is queue times. The economy is great (so don't change it - and PLEASE people don't buy credits from farmers), the ping / lag times are great. The game itself is perfect (gameplay, immersion etc). If you're talking about what drives people away, it's waiting on Fleet for a PVP or OPS pop for 30 minutes a time, and that's not Broadswords fault, that population size - which, there are possible fixes for.
  11. How do you overcome the technical problem of distance ping between servers? You do realise that would ruin PvP/GSF on nearly every server that was crossed with a different region. I’m not sure how much PvP you’ve played with 200-400ms, but it truly is horrendous. Especially if it was random & you couldn’t predict it. Ie, by running WTFast to smooth out the ping spikes. If I’m going to choose to PvP with higher ping, I want to have some control of the stability of the ping spikes. As well as knowing which matches will be high ping for me & which won’t. Cross server sounds great until you factor all that in. Cross server would be great in each of the seperate regions individually. But not cross server across regions, that would be terrible. And considering SV is the only APAC regional server. This idea makes zero sense to propose for the APAC community. Well, isn't that what we've been used to anyways (playing on foreign servers)? For the convenience of not sitting on fleet for 20 minutes between PVP pops, I'd go back to the old ping time on occasion personally. This is also a non starter for many APAC players. Sure they should limit the credit amounts, but zero? Sorry, you won’t win much support for that idea. That's not the feedback I get from everyone? People genuinely enjoy the currency reset. Credit farmers ruined the scales of economy on the american servers. People could transfer one toon across with like 25 billion credits, and BAM, there goes the neighborhood. Please stop giving them ideas on how to better to drain our wallets 🤦‍♀️. Instead of suggesting they be cartel market items. Maybe suggest they be subscriber benefits because we already pay enough for these things, that they shouldn’t be an extra cost. It's a business - they opened up the Oceanic Servers for us. Broadsword aren't a charity. To receive "additional benefits" in life, you have to pay. Suggestion One idea I had that is gaining some traction, is 1 free server transfer as part of a players subscription package. Purely as an example: 1 month renewable Subscription = 1 server transfer, 3 month = 4 server transfers, 6 months = 8 server transfers. 12 months = 18 transfers Perfect ! Just don't allow credits to come with any transfers. Honestly, you're entitled to your opinion of course, but it just feels like a whole lot of complaining, negativity, and whingeing for the sake of it. You're complaining about the prospect of shorter queue times (which is the only issue imo, as the game overall now is perfect with the low ping), because you'd have to (at times mind you) go back to the ping you've been used to for 11+ years? Haha You're complaining because SWTOR fans are asking for additional benefits, and in my view, are willing to pay for it? Bear in mind, if you don't want it, don't pay ! It's not that hard to make a choice. Not sure why you don't maybe look at things in a more positive light?
  12. Thought I'd start a thread dedicated to ideas and suggestions (rather than complaints), that maybe Broadsword could take a look at regarding Shae Vizla server: Cross Server I think the main problem (until character transfers are allowed), is population (and queue times). One way of alleviating these (on all servers), would be a cross server platform on OPS, Flashpoints, Warzones (ranked and unranked) and GSF, like many of the larger games implement. Whilst players would need to understand that lower ping will occur in some of these (APAC player, playing on a U.S. server, or European server), there will also be times, when those players will be playing on the Oceanic servers- of course all other PVE will be played on a players closest server. Character Transfers The resetting of the currency / monetary system has been fantastic. If and when you allow character transfers, please only allow a 0 credit transfer limit (credits aren't part of the transfer system). I do believe a lot of players are waiting for the transfer window to open from other servers, primarily to transfer both their legacy, and end game characters (to avoid the grind of leveling again - which, too be honest, I enjoy !!). One idea I had (and I'd be happy to monetarily pay for), is an import legacy token through the Cartel Market. This avoids having to do character transfers, and would be both a monetary gain for Broadsword, but also a huge time saver for existing players (i.e. Class buffs / Datacrons etc) Can Oceanic players please attain an ETA on character transfer dates / limits / times / costs? Cartel Market If Broadsword aren't going to allow character transfers any time soon, could there be Cartel Acquisitions, like: - Migrate existing Datacron exploration (Datacron buffs) - Migrate existing Class exploration (Class buffs) - Migrate existing Legacy Buffs (and do this in tiers, allowing for various benefits - i.e. rocket boots) Anyways, these are some of my ideas. Hoping other players could add to this. Let's make this a positive thread that broadsword may be more receptive of, rather than just complaints. The game is perfect now in my view on the new servers, apart from population (which comes down to us making things work - or possibly cross server activities).
  13. So they've prioritized some people, and left us paying subscribers out in the cold, while names are being snapped up.
  14. Look at all of us, trying to get in early to snag our names hahahahaha...come on Broadsword - FIX ITTTTTT hahahaha
  15. Yep, I set my al;arm to get in and grab a name, and it's not working baaaahahahahahaha - same error message. Awesome launch Broadsword
  16. So excited mate. Breathing life back into the game ! Pumped ! Bring on SWTOR weekends ! Like I say, to the DEVS - can you please make it an option when we create the new character, if we'd like to import our Legacy (mine is max level), or create a new one.
  17. I'm so excited - I just hope we can pull across our legacy (if we can't transfer a toon)
  18. Hey guys, anyone with the intel / info on this? Does second wind count on a healer as they get credited for kills by healing those who are killing others?

    Solos Ruin PVP

I think the issue isn't pre-made, it's IS this pre-made playing in the spirit of the game? Take a Voidstar. If your facing an 8 stack, who on attack don't care about the doors (or objectives), but want to just wait until you spawn, chain stun and murder - is that what the DEVS envisioned as the "spirit of the game" - is that what they anticipated the game would be when they created PVP? who knows - but it's sure not fun, and drives people away. I get the way to counter this, is to create an 8 stack, and do it back - but that ends up toxic. In fact, both ways do. Also, some people are solo players. They lack the capacity to 8 stack. But yeah, that's my two cents
  20. I just can't mate - it's not in the spirit of the game, and makes me no better than the toxic clowns abusing, farming, and ruining other players experiences already. It's just not my nature. There is a way to break the queue though for premades. If you see an 6-8 stack running, and your queued, if they get in a warzone (keep your player search open, and search for guild i.e. cleavage), you realise your small group is about to be with them, and your game is generating the match to face them (leave queue JUST "before" the match is fully generated as a group) - you avoid the lockout, and they'll end up facing no-one, and getting an early shutdown. Make it so the pre-mades end up getting no matches - they'll eventually log off or leave the game. Win / win.
  21. Oh, it's 100% the server response time. The disappointing thing here, is I play on other games with servers in almost exactly the same regions as SWTOR, and the actual response time is so much quicker, gameplay smoother, more rich, higher quality etc. I'm glad they are moving to 64 bit after all this time, but unfortunately, it's too late, and the population is already in heavy decline. The fact is, the actual quality of the servers (despite being a cash cow) are abysmal - they are basically a version of a rusted out Volkswagon with 3 wheels sitting in someone's backyard desperate for someone to pay her some attention & repairs. Here are some actual recent stats (scroll to 4 minutes, 40 seconds) - but summarized as SWTOR is declining, and likely dead soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzXb3vbQWqU&t=1781s SWTOR - Populations (with terrible performance) Steam Charts: 6,850 (Peak), 3800 (Average) Twitch Views Average: 150 Reddit Members: 211k Twitter Followers: 306k Youtube Subs: 241k Estimated Daily Avg. Concurrent 10-20k Versus say: Final Fantasy XIV - Populations (with outstanding performance) Steam Charts: N/A Twitch Views Average: 3,500 Reddit Members: 750k Twitter Followers: 537k Youtube Subs: 588k Estimated Daily Avg. Concurrent 750k - 1.2m So do the DEVS take the time / effort to ask or wonder why? I know they both ignore feedback, and infringe / delete / ban feedback (despite being done appropriately / without abuse etc). I would listen to Asmongold in that videe, and the original Youtube author, and think twice about population (for instance, it takes 10-20 minutes between PVP pops already - which means standing on fleet, twiddling thumbs) - and it's only going to get worse. That, mixed with insipid performance is the reason I downloaded FF14.
