I'm not really playing much at the moment either tbh. But I have high hopes for future content so I'm not giving up on the game I'll probably wait a month or two before resubbing. I do like the game though but theres just nothing really to do at end game. -

What happened?

Same happened to me earlier although I copied it from my other PC to my newer one the play button was always grey, tried repairing the launcher etc so I'm doing a fresh install now hopefully it'll work.

Why not just read the codex entries and work it out? The crew skills aren't for your companion they're for you but you can send the companions on missions.

Nope by lvl 25 I have way too much IMO everything should cost more. Upgraded my inventory, got 2 vehicles + the skill, gave my friend 18k to buy the skill and vehicle and had 40k left over..
