Just finished "Defending the Arcanum", went to Makeb to finish the quest for interacting with the GSI daily board, went to fleet picked up some crafting mats from the GTN and queued them up, travel to Nar Shadaar to find the GSI headquarters wait for the load screen to finish and boom I'm back on the Arcanum and my toon has been rolled back to just after I finished "Defending the Arcanum". This is starting to get very annoying now!
  2. This is not true, before the game went f2p and even before makeb had been announced, there was a leaked survey/e-mail that discussed how much makeb would cost and as it was leaked back in May, it was certainly subscribers that would be paying

  4. Yeah seems to be broken this patch, was fine last night Still works if you hit the "unify colors" button, but the toggle for each item is completely useless atm

We cant heal from stealth, we cant "drop a load of hots then vanish" as we only have 2 hots and one of them uses 1/4 of our energy and our vanish is better used to get us out of trouble and is on a long cd, we certainly wont out heal anyone without using cast times and we have 3 in combat cc abilitied; a slow, a stun on a 45s cd and an aoe stun on a 1min cd, hardly that much, oh and a mez thats only usable from stealth on people who are out of combat
  6. OK "its fine for melee range", infact its shorter than the game that IS the industry standard
  7. 4m melee range is about standard for a mmo, even if we look at WoW there range is 5 yards (4.57m) which is slightly larger than tor, I didnt have an issue there and i dont have an issue here
  8. But using the same info i can say that sorcs arent that far behind either pt's (38k behind) or mara's (16k) atm
  9. its still more reliable than completely ignoring performance and only looking at the ammount of people playing the classes, I'm not trying to say balance is perfect but it is a lot better than the population numbers make out, for instance sniper is the seccond best dps class ahead of mara/sent yet they are the seccond lowest class when it comes to population. And even if we look at the AC's that are lowest on the dps side theyre still more than viable for pvp just not in a dps role atm as they can all spec either heals or tank, the only AC thats got a real issue in pvp atm is merc/commando due to their healing being somewhat weak atm but both sins and op's are perfectly fine in their non dps roles

  11. Roots can be dispelled fairly easily, call it out for your healer to deal with if its a situation where its important (trying to interupt a cap etc) It's not as if melee are struggling in pvp atm

  14. You get over 25k xp per wz win at level 40, for 10-15mins play, you wont get that much questing or doing fp's etc
  15. Ever thought that this might be in prep of them releasing NMM EC and the next tier. EC has been out for around 3 months now, this move helps guilds that cant complete EC HM gear up ready so they can still progress to the next tier when 1.4 comes out

But it isnt a merger, if it was then servers would be getting shut down and they arent If losing your name is a big issue to you then you have the choice to stick with your underpopulated server until they eventually shut it down and merg the players. The reason why some games give name prio to incoming tranfers as a result of a merger is due to it being involuntary and it would be unfair to expect someone who has had the name longer to change it because of something they have no controll over, that isnt the case here, theyre giving you the choice. Sure it would be great if they did offer to allow those with the "oldest" toons to keep their name but at the end of the day its extra work that could delay transfers rolling out as soon as they are and its work that would disrupt 2 players gaming time rather than just the one that has chosen to transfer
  17. Is it me or did anyone else notice that the screen for 1.3 (at 0:23:00 on the vid) is malgus looking more undead than usual?

Its a way of traking how good/bad you are in pvp, it tracks win/loss ratio and who you won or loss against, so if you win against a team with a much lower rating your rating will improve less than if you won against a team with an even or better rating. I'm hoping it will also track stats like highest crit etc, but thats unconfirmed as far as i know

My point is that both the sprint and bubble are very powerfull defensive abilities, as are the abundant cc's, aoe knockback and friendly pull, sorcs already have more cool toys in their toolbox than any other AC and giving them immunity to interupts/25% dam reduction, or any other "powerfull" defensive cd would be silly. The only reason sorcs arent still facetanking everyone like they did pre 1.2 is that they havent got unlimited resource and their "good" heal has a massive cast time now, making it easier to lock them out
  20. Sprint is a defensive cd, one thats on a very short cd, same goes for your bubble that granted isnt 25% reduction in damage, its 100% every 20 seconds

In regards to the companion rolls, I dont think anyone minds them being restricted in roles, its just some are too restricted Each companion should have 2 roles that change their skill deck imo, they should all be dps and utility because utility is of far more value in most leveling situations, for instance if a companion is tech based ranged dps, they should have a healing mode too or if they are a melee dps they should be able to tank aswell. ATM its very rare for people to use their dps companions and those that do are a dissadvantage to those that use a healer or tank, adding a utility role to the dps companions would make those companions usable rather than just the bench warmers that they currently are
  22. Wont happen for a good long while if ever, theyre tech isnt set up to handle cross server warzones or mass char transfers yet, so asking for cross server zones atm is like asking a used car dealer if they have a 747 in stock

It tends to happen when you have been playing for a while, been like it since 1.2, re-logging sorts it out I used to get a similar thing before 1.2 where the ambient & background sound would cut out whenever moving into a new map area (indoors to outdoors or just transitioning to a new mini zone), again only happened when i had been playing for a few hours, so i think theyre related in some way only now its affecting dialogue instead
  24. Easy fix, you have the augments restricted, so a level 58 (the highest grade) augment could only be equipped to either a crit crafted augment or augment slot 6 (or what ever the highest level slot will be)
