  1. Lol. I've had to post screenshots as an Empire player in other threads been many Republic have flat out denied that decent PVP battles are server dependant. Trolling me and laughing me off in their groups just because it doesn't happen on their server. I spent a whole day on these forums trying to convince the Republic that it was server dependant to little avail. One even said that for all he knew I was a Republic player and I had screenshotted an Empire zerg despite you could clearly see Empire logos and 'Mercenary' under my name. It's good to see there are some people out there though like yourselves who do have common sense.
  2. Sorry I miswrote that completely, I meant to write 24,000 tokens which would take 240 Warzones. If you win and get good enough medals you get 100 tokens, 800 tokens per bag, 800 tokens x 30 bags = 24,000 comms needed / 100 per warzone being generous if you win every single one = 240 warzones. Slipped an extra 0 into the tokens required so it should read 24,000 not 240,000.
  3. 14 sorcs would actually be awesome Huttball. Pull to friendly, knock back, throw ball, knockback, throw ball, throw ball, pull to friendly, throw ball, intercept, force run, throw ball, pull to friendly, knockback. It could be an awesome game of back and forth. But what would actually happen would be. Force lightning - Force lightning - Force lightning - Force lightning - Force lightning. Everywherrrrrrre.
  4. Well that's true. You shouldn't get 'rewarded' for losing. But you should get a consolation prize which you do.
  5. "Then again, the guildmasters wife who plays with us sometimes, has hers and every single one of here companions in Champ gear. With close to a 50% drop rate...Oh yeah, she's valor rank40."
  6. No, you read my post wrong. My post was that someone valor rank 40 cannot have opened 150 bags to achieve 74 champion pieces at a 50% drop rate. Even if they did it since launch, which isn't possible since they weren't 50 at launch, even if they did it over 4 weeks that's 80 bags from weeklies and 70 bags that had to be achieved from PVP. That's 56,000 warzone commendations required. Assuming she won every single match and got 100 comms, that's 560 warzones. 1K valor roughly per warzone, 560,000 valor in total would have been achieved. That's between valor rank 60 -> 70 and that's not even including any valor gained through Ilum for the weeklies which we haven't calculated which would give a higher rank. 40 my ***. Nobody at valor rank 40 has full champion with all their companions in full champion also. Why people feel the need to BS and make stuff up like this I have no idea, it litters the forums and makes the problems out to be massively worse than they are, yes it's bad but come on, there's a lot of made up stories on here and it's going to make BW roll their eyes and ignore the issue because some people are just exaggerating. This kind of BS is what makes it harder to believe and is what will make it harder for BW to actually address issues when these kind of claims are littering the forums. All they see is incorrect made up stuff and exaggerations mixed in with the truthful posts.
  7. I don't see that in TOR at all... unless you're trying to suggest that 30/40 metres is in any way some kind of massive distance...
  8. Of course I know that. I'm one of them. The claim above was ridiculous, that his guildies wife has 74 champion pieces 6 sets of 12 piecse plus 2 relics not including extra duplicates that you would get along the way at a 50% success rate which is at least 148 bags at only valor level 40. If she really is valor rank 40 she has opened nowhere near the amount of bags he says she has.
  9. The fact that you're willing to settle for 10 whilst implying that 10 is somehow reasonable, is a joke in itself. I agreed 120 was silly, but you need to allow time for people to get into the warzone. Don't state it's not possible in capital letters when it is perfectly possible although extremely difficult. Happens plenty of times, although like you said, is a massive disadvantage. The best option would be to keep everybody in the spawn for those 120 seconds to see if anyone joins, rather than starting the match. If nobody joins, then shut down the match. Consider taht your server is a minority, and if you play late at night or have server problems, this isn't the same on all other servers so why should we have our games ended in 10 seconds when somebody might join in 30? That's silly calling for a blanket change across all servers for something that affects yours. The easiest option would be to just decrease it by 30 seconds or so (what would be the problem with this? You still get some cash, some XP, some commendations rather than if tghe match just quit and you got nothing and had to queue for the same thing to happen again) or keep the teams in the spawn for the 120 seconds and if noone joins, then end the match. So that it can only ever start even. Put some thought in first before coming here with capital letters proposing changes to everybody to fix an issue that occurs to a select few.
  10. This post is so full of make believe it's untrue. How long did it take her to get them?
  11. Yes. I get what you're on about. I am not confused. 10 seconds is not enough. It should be 60/90. Step 1: many people queue for a warzone. Step 2: You get the window "pop" to accept. Step 3: Inside the actual warzone, there is a 2 minute "pre-game timer" which counts down to the start of the match. Step 4: Match Starts Step 5: If too few people are present, a 120 sec "shutdown" timer starts unless somebody else joins. 10 SECONDS IS NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR REINFORCEMENTS TO ARRIVE! I have had plenty of games saved by people joining within the 120 sec. So like I said, the 120 sec is a bit too long, but 10 seconds is ridiculously short, the whole point of that 120 seconds is not to end your game, but to try and find someone else to come and join you and 10 seconds wouldn't solve that issue. It would make it pretty impossible for anybody else to join and save you.
  12. 10s would be a ridiculously short amount of time, you can't even click queue, accept a queue and load the warzone in that time. 120 is a bit too long though, I'd take 60/90.
  13. It is. Things should just cost more they do now and give you commendations only in bags. Make gear cost 150 champion commendations each and give 10 in each bag. Then you get a piece and a bit a week just for doing the dailies and weeklies, 20 bags 200 commendations buy a piece and 50 left over plus whatever other PVP you get in throughout the week which you can buy bags for. This then takes time to build your set which is how it should be. However, the amount of bags without a drop is massively exaggerated on these forums.
  14. I've always been consistant. I'll go 6 or 7 bags without, followed by 4 bags with 3 bits in them. I have so far off hand and ranged, plus both relics and both implants and ear, and all the armour except I'm missing belt/boots/legs. I have centurian legs and belt though I bought with comms. But just those 3 missing for the full set, 550 expertise and 53 valor with 3 champion pieces missing. I have though 3x duplicate hands, a duplicate bracers, duplicate ear, duplicate offhand. On the forums some people greatly exaggerate their lack of drops. 30 bags with nothing still gives 90 tokens which can buy 2 pieces of Centurian armour plus a relic so 3 pieces in total. Plus to get 30 bags ignoring the dailies which are just freebies anyway, would take 24,000 warzone comms... 240 warzones roughly. If you win every one and get MVP votes. Which is very generous. That's at least 40 hours of PVP while being very very generous. It's just not true. If it's the freebies, then they don't really count as you get 20 bags a week for little to no effort at all and anything in them should just be counted as something for free.
  15. Prepare to be flamed by Republic trolls who are convinced that just because theirs and a few other servers have rubbish Republic pvpers and/or not enough people that care about PVP and grouping up first, that what you've presented video proof of like screenshots I've posted before, actually didn't/couldn't happen on any server in SWTOR.
  16. Powertech/Vanguard should be much higher up that list.
  17. OP this might come as a surprise to you but different classes are designed to do different things.
  18. Doesn't change the fact that in order to get the heal, you need to heal someone who has more than 2,500 health depleted, if you try to heal someone on 100% health you won't get the medal. Therefore if you do it on someone and get the medal, you have helped them. More than someone who does not have this medal. OP is implying that people farm medals for the MVP votes, well if anyon else had the medal then they deserve an MVP vote, fi they don't have the medal then they have no helped the team in as many ways as someone who does. It's simple. He's healed a team member and another person has not. Which both go towards a team victory. Take that damage away, more enemies are runnin around trying to kill you. The point of every map is to kill enemies to make your job easier. It's easier to defend an objective 5v4/5 than it is 5v7/8. Get it? Good, you need somebody to do this. If you leave the points free then anyone goes over and takes them. You need someone on it shouting in ops when people approach so ac ouple can drop off the side from middle and help. These people don't get a 75k medal or a 300k medal or a 2.5k heal medal or many others because they have a mundane job of sitting there doing nothing much for the greater good of the team. I'll agree on the killing blow being pointless, but it's hardly one you farm, you get it naturally. As regards the 1v1 medal not so much. Take your lone defender on Alderaan will get it from defending. Contributes to the team. Player on Huttball runs ahead of the ball carrier and kills someone waiting on the ramps to stun or push the ball carrier off. Swings and roundabouts. In short, the vast majority of the medals are awarded when you actually do something that you should be doing in a WZ. Everybody ends up with 4->5 medals anyway, yet a few people end up with more because they've done things for the team that you haven't. I get a minimum of 6 and sometimes 8 but I see people with 9/10 regularly, and they've done more than I have so deserve them more than I do. Things like 300k damage and 300k healing you can't do on your own away rambo from the team. You need to be there in the middle of the action.
  19. This old argument again... Farming medals directly correlates to your performance in the WZ. 2.5k heal? You only get it by healing 2.5k of health. You can abuse this on Huttball by standing in fire, but outside of Huttball doing a 2.5K heal is helping your team. 75K Healing - Needs no explanation, if you do this you're definitely helping your team. 1K Defender Points - On Huttball you get this by defending your line, that's helping the team otherwise the other team would have scored, on Alderaan you get this by defending the objectives, if they weren't there then th objectives would be taken by other people. You need someone keeping an eye on the point and shouting if anyone is incoming. It's helping the team and the game. 3K Defender Points - See above. 2.5K Damage in a single hit - Directly contributes towards winning the game, who would have thought damaging enemies and makign them easier to kill/killing them for you makes the warzone easier? Crazy that eh? 75K Damage - Everyone should have this by the end of the warzone, if you don't you're either a healer, sacrificed your medal/valor gain and nominated yourself to camp the flag and shout if anyone comes near it, or you're rubbish at PVP and you're of no help to your team. Delivered a killing blow - Obviously this helps your team, killing people = making the warzone easier. Less people to obstruct your ball carrier, less people attacking the objective, less people defending the objective making it easier to capture. Common sense. Defeating someone in a 1v1 fight - See above. Other ones such as 300k damage, 300k healing, 5k single heal etc are all quite obvious that they are valuable contributions... in short if someone has 2 medals and someone else has 10, they've had a bigger impact than you. You haven't put out the heal they have that brough them from little health to major, you haven't done as much damage as someone else which contributed to the other team being sent back to their forcefield and unable to oppose you, they have.
  20. Either you can't read, or you can't be bothered to read. Whichever one it is you should probably sort it out. There are loads of ways to beat it, even posted right here in this very thread believe it or not.
  21. Zetara

    new fotm?

A more valid question would be why when one person makes a thread, and it gets answered and put to bed, does another person make the same thread, which gets answered and then put to bed, does another person then make the same thread again and again and again.
  22. Also my resolve bar regularly fills, then immediately starts ticking down. I'm immune to CCs for about a half second before it starts decreasing. Lost count of the amount of times I've been stunned over the firetrap with the ball before it activates, let it run it course without using anything, it wore off, started to run, stunned again, fire warming up, CC breaker, stunned again, fire kills. Not talking roots or snares, but stuns. It works on occasions but doesn't seem to work on others.
  23. I'd like to see an option where the game just booted them rather than a vote. If it was a vote then elitist premades would vote out players they thought weren't up to scratch and then that person would face a warzone debuff and no rewards even if playing okay. They could put a zone around a player for example like you're stood in the middle of a giant sumo ring and if you don't move outside that zone within a certain time, the game detects you as AFKing. This would fix people running into walls but not actually progressing across the map.
