Most of us that actually PvP knew that'd suck and were against it. But alas, the vocal minority won out, as they always seem to do in these games...

Sents can be very good in PvP, when played correctly. On my server, I've only seen one marauder on the empire side that's any good. I play a Vig guardian. I decimate most other classes in 1 on 1 combat. Alas, its almost never 1 on 1.

Spam aoe attacks while people try to cap objectives. That'll top meters pretty fast. The only thing that matters in warzones are KILLS, HEALING, and OBJECTIVES. Damage means **** if you don't kill anybody.

I think its cute that people finally get real world pvp, and now they don't want it. They just want to be able to trade caps with no pvp and get some of the best gear in the game.

So after actually playing the new Ilum, its not that bad. You get great honor for kills. We had a group of 24 republic slaughtering Empire for like an hour. We never killed any of the turrets though, and honestly that's pretty hard to do if there's any sort of resistance. I"m starting to think most people ************ are trying to go to Ilum solo instead of in a group. And for the record, after killing people for an hour straight, I only gained like a 1.5 valor ranks. From 36 to 37.5

In case you haven't realized yet, you don't HAVE to fly into the base. There's nothing stopping you from getting 50 friends and attacking the campers from behind and then camping THEIR base. Of course, this doesn't stop you from respawning at the main base...

They owe everybody a free DAY, assuming they rollback valor. 1 day of problems != 1 month of gametime

I really don't see that bioware has much of a choice... If they don't roll back valor, then they have to leave the turrent in. Which means EVERYBODY gets battlemaster rank in a week and snags up the gear, making it the new lowest standard with the easiest method to obtain. In essence, rank 3 pvp gear becomes the new greens. So then bioware has to buff everything else, or nerf the hell out of PVP gear.

I PvP as Vig, and its pretty amazing. I haven't tried focus, but I'm not sure how much better it can be. Once you get to 50, I've found it can be useful to use half enhancements with accuracy and power, and half with crit/surge I run around with like 103% accuracy, 25% crit, 280ish bonus damage, and I forget how much crit multiplier. I'm not in full pvp gear though, only a few pieces. The rest of my armor is crafted epics and oranges. No fancy raid gear for me. On my server I typically top the medal charts, pull anywhere from 100-250k damage if I get heals. If I get a pocket healer I can do almost 300k damage. My kills per match range anywhere from 10-40+ depending on how geared Empire is and how much my team sucks. I can still get the 50k guard medal, as well as the 10k in a single life. I can get the 2.5k per hit medal and typically have crits upwards of 3.5 in both pvp and pve. In PvE I'm pretty much a God if I use doc, unless I do something stupid. Things die fairly fast across the board. The damage output compare to defense spec with tank gear makes it so that I end fights at about the same amount of life.

Maybe it'll cut down on all these trolls and whiners and make the forums, you know... a useful place to get information.

The encounter is seriously bugged, at least it was tonight. The emperor kept resetting on me when I dragged him down the hall. AoE attacks didn't do anything to the shadows. His Force Bolt 1 shots you, even though it only appears to do a few thousand damage. Then, after dying numerous times, I hit him with saber throw in order to pull him and the quest completely. Following that, I do the little cut scene and get told that because I'm dark, I don't get the master title. But, when I get to the Fleet, I have it? This whole thing reeks of not being tested at all. People saying to get gear for T7 on the planet before are assuming that players KNOW this is coming up. They don't. You don't find out you need T7 until you're half way through the instance and to the ship. The whole thing is horribly designed from the start. Combine that with the fact that you MUST complete this in order to do Ilum, and yeah. It's just flat out bad design.

I'm going to have to jump in here and agree. Why the **** do I not find out I have to use T7 until I'm half way into the *********** mission? Why the hell am I forced to use one companion over another to begin with? This IS an MMO, not a single player game - despite the story elements.

I was getting horrible FPS until I turned off SLI support. Maybe you should try that until nVidia releases new drivers.

So after this patch, a few people on my server - The Shadowhand - have mysterious "bonus missions" in our quest log, detached from a main quest. These cannot be dropped or abandoned, they're just there and taking up a quest slot.

Obviously troll is obvious. There's plenty of gameplay. You just didn't and don't want to do it.
