  1. Don't even try to deny that Mercs are stupidly OP right now! It is really undeniable with WAY too much survivability. I really am nobody that bothers voicing my opinion here usually but damn BW you really are horrible at balancing. So often you see Mercs run around carelessly blasting people apart knowing that hey basically have 3 lives and little to be afraid in the first half a min at least. Nerf Merc survivability right now! Get your act together on the test server. The fact that you haven't grasped that ridiculous state of this class there really makes me question if your testing methods will ever result in anything fun.
  2. I agree. The lack of communication in general has been rather troubling. All this announcement like "We have big plans, can't wait to talk about it BUT still won't do it anytime soon" are going on my nerves. I could forgive them not making it in time for 1.2 with ranked warzones BUT the end of the free month at the same time is the end of my patience. Missing that by EA bought new deadline by giving out free months is another major fail.
  3. As a Roleplayer I really like such ideas. It definitely is something that would be awesome to add but on my personal list of things that I would like to see added there still are dozens before that. It's more a feature for when the game itself is pretty rich on content already which TOR sadly isn't.
  4. Implementing racing, Pazaak and other minigames that aren't all about standard combat stuff gets my vote.I'm pretty confident that stuff like that will make it into the game but I doubt it will be anytime before autumn or winter. The sooner the better though!

  6. The title pretty much says it. Recruit gear might be a step in the right direction but still people should be able to earn a significant amount of warzone and ranked coms already before hitting 50 to not face a that extreme gear gap which solely lead to the game being less enjoyable both for the dealing and the receiving players. All the caps do is making people waste warzone coms on silly and pointless stuff pre level 50. They still have to "work" for their coms as much. The caps are pointless, rubbish and a sign of truly bad game design. Especially if they are as low as 3500 ranked and 2000 wz coms.

  8. I don't get where you get the idea from that it will be an "either ... or ..." thing. For PVE reasons alone they will have to merge/transfer people anyway so I would not worry about that. Still a proper solution has to include cross-server warzones to make the availability of warzones last. A smart system (which I hope they will use) will consist of pitting the people of the same server together preferably and only if that doesn't work for a few mins pull in people from other servers. I rather play against unknown people instead of waiting 10 - 15 mins which even after merges/transfers could very well happen. Especially several weeks/months after the merges with the dwindling of playerbases on the several servers being rather unpredictable.
  9. Alone in the past 2 days it has happened 5 times that I was struck by the bug that let me respawn dead in the respawn area or made it impossible to even respawn at all. While it before used to happen maybe once every week and was a bearable pain it really is getting on my nerves lately. What annoys me on top is that this bug that I have petitioned at least 3 times already isn't listed anywhere in the known issues. I can deal with a company having a hard time to track and fix bugs but at least make me believe that you at least try. I know for a fact that I am not the only one getting really annoyed over this bug.
  10. It's a matter of taste if people want this even playfield you suggest or if they want PVP progression. I'm not stumbling in this silly trap of discussing subjective tastes during what too many people (including you) risk making their taste sound like the ultimate one. SWToR has PVP gear progression and given how the system is designed I can safely assume that they won't change that in the near future and most likely never at all. If that ruins PVP for you then you will either have to settle with the other content or move on to another game.
  11. Hopefully this arena rubbish won't ever make it in the game. It in my eyes would really ruin PVP balance even more than 1.2 did (and that's hard!) by boiling it all down to mere and stupid face-to-face combat rather than including the utility other classes have that are a factor in some wz (Sorc pull as example). I don't want this mindless arena rubbish. Especially not with faceroll mara/sents around!
  12. Server transfers, merges AND cross-server has to happen together. Especially with the outer titles on the horizon the transfer/merge combination would be at best a temporary fix. The cross-server function SHOULD be designed in a way to still preferably match people from the same server together before taking people from the other servers into account (after a brief waiting time). I think to remember having read that they will create it just this way. BW is taking way too long though! Get your acts together already please!
  13. Wrong on so many levels. It wasn't without reason that even BW stated in reply to the TTK replies that it is mostly due to the differences in expertise. The non-PVP stat progression from Recruit to BM isn't all that severe and those playing warzones in PVE/raid gear are clueless victims that don't deserve anything but being slaughtered anyway.
  14. The gear differences (on top of the level differences) can be at least as severe in the 10-49 bracket. Just to test that I geared up an operative with the top-notch purple augmented level 43-46 gear and it's facerolling time there now. Still I do agree that expertise in its current form is simply awkward. While getting BM stuff is fast enough it still simply doesn't make sense. Gear progression in general is fine BUT I for one simply don't enjoy rolling people in inferior gear over. The principle of new 50s having to endure some not fun slaughtering just to maybe eventually have fun on halfway even grounds is silly and a certain way to make the PVP player base dwindle even more due to a lack of fresh meat.
  15. Hopefully that will ONLY come for ranked though. For unranked wz the 4 men premades are as good of a compromise between playing with friend but making the queueing as unbeatable premade impossible as it can get. Good 4 men premades already faceroll the opponents most of the time. Would even be worse with 8 unless ranked really makes sure that only full 8 people premades are matched against those 8 people ones.
  16. Admittedly Sorcs do have the tools to kite rather well for some time against less skilled people BUT other classes simply don't. Usually those heavy dps dual wield characters are meant to be glass cannons but mara/sents simply are NOT. So much effective defense and on top that idiotic stealth makes it way too hard to kill those OP faceroll things. I just can't take anyone serious that plays a mara/sent these days and thinks he is any good. Serious PVP would just abandon that class and wait till it will be halfway balanced again instead of facerolling people with that OP rubbish. I for one stopped playing my marauder because it is WAY worse than Sorcs ever have been. So yeah, don't take those mara/sent players serious.
  17. No, just no. I was one of those that were against the 3 medal limit but please don't reward people merely for the zoning alone. The situation described above doesn't happen all too often and the "trouble" of 2 loading screens isn't really worth compensating.

  19. That's rubbish. If you would have read up and informed yourself instead of going in yadda yadda mode right away you would have read that they hinted on there being server merges at the PAX thingy. So hang in there, OP. I hope BW will soon get its acts together there.
  20. I completely disagree there. Premades aren't necessarily about top-geared and skilled people playing together. It would suck just as much as it does in the current system if 2-4 people of a casual guild end up being tossed in a queue where the majority of the players are just those uber premades. I am completely against seperating queues based on with how many people you sign up. I'd rather see some sort of strength meassuring based on performance also for the unrated wz. Nothing that is visible or meaningful but something to ensure that mostly people of the same skill level get stuffed in the same matches.
  21. Cross-server wz already are kinda confirmed to come if BW will finally get their acts together. While some healthy rivalvies on the same server ARE fun I really don't like to see either side over and over run into the very same simply way stronger group.   22. Troll or at the least a clueless post in both aspects. Scoundrels got nerfed and by now are easily out-dpsd by Marauders. And if you can't kill a healer in the current build then L2P really is the nicest thing I can reply to that. Since 1.2 there is absolutely no excuse anymore (beside maybe 3+ healers healing each other) to not be able to kill a healer.
  23. Pointless post. Since the decision of the team size of the opponent isn't exactly in the hands of the players it shouldn't have any impact on the reward. While I understand your frustration you should really focus it solely on who is to blame for that and that definitely isn't the opposing faction of your server.
  24. Are you sure you didn't mix that up? I read it as the Republic being in disadvantage according to the OP.
