  1. Try having 7 ppl on Imperial fleet during prime time. My friend is convinced cross server LFG tools will be implemented first to "fix" the issue, but I say close these servers! It's really sad to run around with NOBODY else around.
  2. My server (Nathema) has 10 people on Fleet (Imperial side) on average. Actually, it had 20 (!!) yesterday (Sunday afternoon). It was amazing and felt like the server was way overpopulated!! Most planets have anywhere between 3 and 7 people on it. Sometimes I'll run into one of them if I'm lucky.
  3. On my server, I do that on fleet and find fewer than 5...users. No joke
  4. So, I turned off the corruption option and looked pretty again. But, I had to turn it right back on! I actually like the look of it (for now). I can see how it could make some character models look really bad, though. Maybe they should give those with corruption an option on how the corruption affects their characters. Someone said big horns (lol), maybe...or, just let them select which level of corruption they want (dark1, dark2, etc), as long as they've reached that level or higher. Anyways...at least I can turn it off if I don't like it.
  5. Oh man...I had no idea there was a checkbox to turn that off. Nice Though I'm kind of getting used to being ugly, it's nice to know I have the option. Thanks for the info!
  6. So, I finally decided to play an evil character. And before I go too far, I will say...it's not easy to click those evil choices sometimes! I just squint and look away lol... Anyways, to my point...A few levels ago, I realize I look F'ing UGLY. My character is female, and I thought she looked kind of nice. But, a little darkness in her heart has produced some pretty crazy effects!! I think I'm only Dark1 right now (maybe Dark2), but I can't imagine if I keep getting uglier...!! I may have to demand a respec of my light/dark points.
  7. Print Screen has worked for me. Forgot the folder it saves to, though. Or, you can download Fraps and have it running in the background...it lets you save screenshots (default is F10) and video as well.
  8. +1! It is painful to level a new toon through 14 levels of crawl speed. Although I will admit I hardly noticed the issue with my recent BH, I was having so much fun! My other toons, though...ugh. It really makes me think twice about making a new toon. At *least* level 10.
  9. Good, you can PASS on every item when you're grouped with me and everything will go great! In fact, I'll bring you along through every FP I haven't slipped yet...and if you don't care to join me, then stop wasting our time in this thread. People are here to discuss the many aspects involved in loot distribution.
  10. I just checked: Troopers and all of the Troopers companions only use AIM. Consulars, as a counter example, have companions that use AIM, WILLPOWER, and CUNNING. I didn't bother checking any others. This inequality is partially why I don't support NEED for companions as a standard practice.
  11. Maybe we should figure out what companions actually require what gear, but I do know they are not all the same... If your three companions all use AIM equipment and my three use AIM, WILLPOWER, and CUNNING. I will be rolling NEED on AIM, WILLPOWER, and CUNNING drops and it's totally acceptable in a NEED for companions way, while you are only allowed to roll NEED for AIM. Whenever AIM drops, we'll both be rolling on it in competition. When WILLPOWER and CUNNING drop, only I will be rolling NEED on it...unless you're going to roll NEED to sell it. If you're ok with doing that, then we open the door for those who would use the system immorally and we can't do anything about it (and everyone should probably just roll NEED at all times). I don't agree with that. Half the posts you've made were one liners, or defensive disagreements without any reasoning behind them. If you're going to be constructive and help this conversation move along, you need to explain your reasoning like you did above.
  12. Seriously I am going to respectfully bow out of this discussion. I wish you all (regardless of which side you're on) the best and hope the issue (one way or the other) gets resolved sooner than later. (let's see how long it lasts)
  13. Do you realize 90% of your posts are not being constructive at all? If all you're going to say is "it doesn't matter", then you're doing nothing to help anyone understand your side of things. Vecke really seems to be the only one making sense of your side of the argument, which I'm beginning to understand. But, I still don't think it's best for the community.
  14. Generosity is not in question here. It's equality of opportunity given the, I can roll NEED for my companion side... Some classes have a more diverse set of eq wearing companions. So, why should a Smuggler be able to click NEED 2 or 3x more often than a Trooper simply because he has companions that can wear more types of loot?
  15. I don't think you're seeing our points of view properly. We're just trying to keep the system fair and respectful to all while putting some simple rules in place that help the community police itself. There are more people out there IMO that do not NEED for their companion than do, so all we're saying is if you want to click NEED for your companion, just speak up.
  16. Everyone is limited in the same exact manner. That's the only way to keep distribution as equal as possible and allow the community to police themselves. Everyone has the "same" "exact" "access" to *all* loot, just speak up if you're NEEDing on something that isn't directly related to your PC.
  17. Some classes don't have the same access to as many types of loot.
  18. This is the same response you keep posting, yet NOBODY is trying to lock gear "for themselves". Everyone has the same access to loot with the NEED for PC's camp. The only difference is the team has to speak up more often when using NEED, instead of just clicking and thinking everything is peachy.
  19. See, that's where I will disagree with you. I do care if I'm offending others. It ruins the game for others and I would like to avoid that whenever possible.
  20. No offense intended to the "NEED for companions" side, but I feel they have a very simple argument. I do not mean it's less legitimate, for sure. I just feel there position is very simple on the matter, while the "GREED for companions" group is putting a lot more rules/restrictions on things (that I feel are necessary to prevent the system from being abused...and to allow players to police each other).
  21. To clarify the situation we're discussing here: You are clicking NEED for your companion when the rest of the group is not. If such is the situation, this is my response: Nobody has offended you if nobody has said anything. However, you may have offended them even if you didn't say anything.
  22. I cut your post short, but agree with all that I cut out. The thing is, there "are" greedy people out there. It's inevitable that people will take advantage of the system. We all know this. I'm just looking to put a simple set of rules on the buttons (which is what most people I've grouped with seem to use already) that help us identify those who would abuse the system. If we let people NEED too often, they will NEED on whatever they want (even if occasionally) and nobody will be able to call them on it. If we let that happen, situations may boil down to "better NEED if I'm going to get anything"...and I don't think that's cool for teammates to have to deal with. I also don't like the fact that some classes have a smaller set of eq requirements when considering companions. When companions are not considered, everyone has exactly 1 type of eq they are looking for. The random drop was perfectly random/fair. Adding personal interest in an item (or adding an unequally diverse set of companions to the mix) changes that fairness IMO, which is why we should speak up if we are NEEDing on something that isn't designed for our PC. And what if it's orange? Or what if every BH already got a piece of +aim and the Sniper hasn't got anything yet? Well, that may fall under one of those exceptions to the rule. I don't think anyone is putting a hard/fast set of rules down here...they are simply guidelines to adhere to under most circumstances.
  23. While it is fair to say the person who is being offended should protect themselves by asking, I believe the person who is committing the offense is the one who should bring it up first. That's the respectful thing to do.
