  1. NO - I unsubbed tonight. I haven't played for a couple of weeks and just don't feel compelled to log in any more. Good: Nice stories and voice acting. Enjoyable levelling the first char. Good music/atmosphere and the game generally does the Star Wars license justice. Bad: Horrible engine especially when it comes to PVP, which is a MASSIVE disappointment for me. Decent PVP in the Star Wars universe would have kept me playing for months or years. Second biggest disappointment is crafting. It's shallow yet time consuming and frustrating thanks to failed RE attempts. Easily attainable PVE rewards make it mostly pointless anyway, both while levelling and at end game. The poor GTN front end and lack of terminals also hurt the chances for a decent economy. Everything else just feels like years-old MMO design - lacking innovation. The game soon becomes the typical, repetitive MMO grind but with nothing entertaining or exciting enough in there to make the grind worthwhile.
  2. You'll find most people defending it aren't against it being changed. They're against it just being nerfed with nothing else being changed. It's the ability around which the spec is based and if you nerf it you'll need to buff something else to make the spec competitive. Plus there's a lot more to it than just spamming one ability. Most of us who've actually played a commando/BH know exactly what happens when you try that against a player with any amount of skill and awareness. This information is always posted in these grav round/tracer missile whine threads, yet there are still countless idiots demanding it just be nerfed. It's not that simple and it's why those idiots are drooling at their keyboards posting angry threads and not designing games for a living.
  3. Dear Bioware, Every time I get killed in PVP I have to alt-tab out of the game and post on the forum asking for the enemy class to be nerfed or changed, even though I have no idea how that class really works. I'm missing out on valuable playing time doing this. Please add an in-game ability to automatically create a "nerf class X" post each time I die. I hope to see this next patch.
  4. If you're going Gunnery spec with your Commando you'll notice a big change when you get Grav Round and then a further improvement with Gravity Surge. You're just a few levels away from those at 22.
  5. OP, check out this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=114264&page=25 The Xp compatibility thing really boosted the performance on my machine. It was enough that I didn't have to go out and buy a new graphics card, which would only really have been for playing SWTOR.
  6. Yeah I got this too. I logged and tried again - same thing. Logged again and tried walking back to the defeated Tavus who had reappeared and same thing. I quit the game and restarted and this time as I tried to leave again the cutscene triggered correctly. So just keep logging or quitting/restarting and it should work.
  7. Yes you can. You'll need to play each one until they have at least one companion. Ideally play until they get their ship so you have both companions available. It makes running missions and crafting much quicker. A word of warning: it can become a massive time and credit sink. I created an army of alts, partly to check out each class and partly to become self-sufficient. However, the amount of time and money you need to spend on mats, recipes, crafting missions and just switching between the alts is huge. And it's pretty much constant because you level so fast you are always outgrowing your gear and need to make more. It's been interesting trying out each class and all the different crew skills, but I've now switched my main to biochem and am going to play just that toon and use only commendations/loot/GTN to gear up as I level. So if you decide to go the crafter alt route I'd recommend restricting it to just one or two unless you have a LOT of times on your hands. Good luck
  8. It shows under Scavenging. You don't see it because your character doesn't see its own listings when searching in the Buy tab, but Scavenging is where to look for others selling it. All Researched Compounds are showing under Scavenging instead of Investigation, so looks like that's a bug.
  9. I agree. Have any armormechs managed to crit on an orange schematic and produce a piece with augment slot?
