  1. This particular forum is mostly for PVP and players that like to wave their e-peens around. I just come here to read it for lulz. If you want actual questions answered about your class, there is tons of information in the class forums: STAR WARS: The Old Republic > English > Classes > Bounty Hunter edit* you're a merc fixed path.
  2. Welcome to griefing. Both sides do it. That's why there is a PVP warning when you select The Bastion.
  3. Force Mend - Awesome, so many situations where this skill allows me to live just long enough to get to cover and LOS and heal up. You can even see situations in which you would have died pre 1.4. Force Wave- Absolutely awesome in so many ways. Activates instantly so you can interrupt skills with it much more efficiently than previously. I can't tell you how many times i died while jumping in the air to do the old animation. Also it knockbacks way further than previously so you can actually use it to kill people on the bridges in voidstar now.
  4. Activating force wave directly after a stun doesn't knockback targets if they are right on top of you. (Most commonly seen against operatives) Besides this rare case it works fine.
  5. The main argument i have seen with this class and a full min/max is if you want your critt at 35% or 39/40%. To be honest I've seen players of both types do perfectly fine and I've seen many arguments for both types. In the end it seems to be personal preference. Also regarding the post above. Surge hard caps at 80%, but soft caps @ 75%. Going above 75% adds very minimal overall critt multiplier.
  6. That was over a month ago i would pay that now if one existed on our server.....
  7. Looking to buy this helm. PM on these forums if you have one or send Aruru in game mail (republic side)
  8. Sneak's original purpose is to increase stealth level while in stealth, removing this function would be pretty bad, but I wouldn't put it past them. I get that your asking if you can 50% Sneak 25% Disappearing Act 50% Sneak since it finishes the cooldown. I don't think anyone can realistically answer that question given the current information presented to us. We'll have to wait for full patch notes, and even then might not get actual confirmation till 1.4 is on the PTS.
  9. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't stack. I interpret it as: It can be used inside or outside of stealth, however i assume you don't get the stealth bonus outside of stealth (duh) i suppose you could stack sneak and disappearing act together for a mass increase of speed for a short while. This seems to be intended so scoundrels can get away and/or chase down sorcs with this new change (stun locking them is no longer an option) I play sage also and i can tell you that their sprint does in fact increase your current speed, even if you have transcendence and speed bubble up. I don't see any reason it's wouldn't stack further. Imagine disappearing act + sneak + WZ speed buff. In short Sneak is now a much needed sprint.
  10. DPS sages can do well under certain conditions, for example if they are up against someone with lesser gear . Your not really going to see the downside unless you take them into ranked. Now don't get me wrong, if your DPS train is beastly enough you can support a DPS sage in your ranked group and still do well, however the sage itself is not part of the heavy hitting DPS train.
  11. lol reading this post and your others, you're clearly terrible at this class. You should come back when you can beat a PT 1v1. Also refer to the direct post below yours for #'s response.
  12. These changes are awful and the absolute death of a DPS sage in any kind of ranked or competitive game. I'm sure you could own noobs with balance or win 1v1's. BUT ultimately removing the aoe knockback and compensating with an updated force sprint isn't gonna cut it. Good thing sage healers got buffed big time (increased healing and self heal) The self heal should allow you to successfully generate force.....as a healer only. Bioware did absolutely nothing to address the real problem with the class......that is has 0 burst. Will these changes help you manage force as a DPS sage? nope. Will these changes allow you to burst for the same amount or even remotely close to a maurader, jugg, sniper, or powertech? nope. Should anyone realistically roll sage DPS after 1.4? nope.
  13. After playing DPS scrapper for about a week ( have about half war hero brought over from another char via legacy items) their DPS does not need to be adjusted. If you think DPS is lacking ensure your using sabotage charge and the correct rotation/gear set. I am actually in utter amazement that this class gets to much hate for being under-powered as i consistently open on people for 4-5k following by 2 3500-4k+ hits with backblast and sabotage charge. Additionally their stun lock is fantastic. In terms of 1.4, i think the changes to disappearing act are just the tweak the class needed.
  14. Hi i'm building up my scrapper and have been looking to see how much critt i should stack for a full min/max. I've seen some very great guides and gear setups from multiple different websites, but near all of them are from before WH and the ability to Augment everything. I've heard mixed things regarding this class and the different critt that people run with. I've seen builds that run with 40% critt and builds that run with 32%. So assuming that i use PVP enforcer 2 set and PVE enforcer 2 set. What critt do you guys run with? My current concern is that running with 40% critt would cause my bonus DMG to be very low. A lot of the guides i have seen so far seem to go strait power and keep critt very minimal. However from experience, this class seems to be 100% dependent on critt. Thanks in advance!
  15. I'm also min maxed and play heal/play balance. I can post my stats if you want. IMO: -You critt is way too high (already mentioned several) -Your surge over 75% is also a waste of enhancements (already mentioned) -You pretty much have 2% alacrity. I recommend at least 5%. I HIGHLY recommend the force lord's implants. It's tons of alacrity and power and allows you to mitigate your critt and surge elsewhere. - Additionally i have tried and don't agree with the fortitude stim. A fully min/maxed sage regardless of healing or DPS should have at least 900 bonus DMG. Adding 200-300 HP in short, wont allow you to live any longer than normal in most situations. Continuing on this, the higher bonus healing the more your bubble absorbs and the more you heal for, which in turn out weighs the critts and extra HP.
  16. It's entirely possible to average 400-800k heals a warzone without salvation. As mentioned in this thread already the AOE heal is fairly useless unless you have a personal bodyguard and your entire teams protects you. A lot of things have already been mentioned in this thread that will increase your healing (such as stims) but ultimately i would recommend that you bubble people on your team as much as possible. For a number of reasons this can make all the difference in keeping several people alive as well as 1 heavily focused target alive. This is something that i very rarely see healers do.
  17. I use this one: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#6000MZGGMRMdMdbZf0RM0M.2 Settled on it after trying out virtually every combination of spec i could come up with.
  18. Found sage DPS to be worthless in ranked. Sure you can put up 600k-800k DMG in a long fight, but the reality is you have no burst which doesn't succeed in taking down a healer like a powertech/sniper/warrior can. Don't get me wrong, if this game had any type of arena setup sage would be great. Losing a 1v1 as balance is pretty difficult if you kite and LOS correctly. As for heals, found that the ground AOE is also useless against any half decent team. It's basically a giant interrupt me sign and for the most part no one is ever standing still for it to be useful. (DPS train chasing healers and the extra little bit wont help me survive 5k smashes etc) I did find that using a hybrid spec that allows you to knockback with the 5-2s root is amazing for ranked. Allows much more uptime and the ability to actually use deliverance. Also for reference, i'm fully geared.
  19. The helm in the OP screenshot is called Pilot's Helm. http://db.darthhater.com/items/19309/pilots_helmet/#sold-by He's using unify colors to make it white. What i don't understand after reading this though, is why there appears to be 2 different versions of this robe: one with the hood up, and one with the hood down. Looks like it may be the medium armor version has a hood and the light armor version does not.
  20. I do it like this: I'm DoT spec and have Nadia as DoT spec instead of armor penetration. 1. Put Nadia on passive. 2. Interact with the door to summon the guys. 3. Lift the elite then run to other side of the door. 4. (the 2 strong mobs will follow) Sick Nadia on them and down them. 5. Heal up and take the elite. Most of the companions will open with an AOE. So this tactic will allow you do down the 2 strong mobs first without breaking the CC on the elite.
  21. Both of the tree's posted here have significant weaknesses: Post #1 - utilizes healing effects from DoT's which is more or less useless. Furthermore they do not have the bonus 100 force from the middle tree, the reduced cost of force attacks, or the increased dmg absorbtion of the bubble. Post #2 - this hybrid build isn't that bad, but requires a forcequake or disturbance proc to deal good AoE DMG. In short it has low DPS. This is the spec i currently use, it is viable for PVP or PVE and is the highest DPS i have found. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#600hZf00MZfrcRsMkrcz.1 *remember to allow telekinetic throw to cast completely to regain force, also don't spam DoT's in warzones- use your best judgment for force management. This spec works best with 2 set force mystic and 2 set force master.
  22. It's fairly easy to beat one, as with marauders you want to be as far away as possible. A fight would normally go like this: Sever Force > Weaken Mind > Slow > Force Stun > Force Potency/Power Relic/Power Trinket > Project > Force in Balance > Tk Throw (procs presence of mind) Mind Crush > Sever Force etc...... They may pull you > either knockback if they are already slowed or force lift. As long as you do Force Stun before Force Lift, their resolve bar will not fill.
  23. That's funny because i feel exactly the opposite. An OP healer has much more mobility in PVP. They can heal on the move, vanish and deal decent DMG, A sorc healer has to use LOS and talents to root the opponent long enough to cast heals etc. In terms of DPS in warzones, sniper is mediocre, The entire class is based around having to root yourself. A good balance sage vs a good sniper, sage will win every time simply by the fact that you will be rooted slowed stunned and LOS'd. By the time you can fire a direct shot you will already be dead or damn near close.
  24. Sage DPS is pretty good. I normally am top damage or top 3. Prior to 1.2 my normal voidstar DPS would be 600-800k DMG as AOE spec. Post 1.2 it's more around 300-500k as balance. At times i will hit 600k or higher, but they are very rare.I have seen some marauders on the opposing team push 600k+ but it was usually under very strict circumstances. A balance sage played correctly with any type of object to kite on will beat any class 1v1.
