  1. On my part I was kinda forced to get new monitor since last one broke down, so why not get a good gaming monitor with a 3d as a addition :>
  2. I liked the reviews, they are nice comedy material with some insight, but I cannot just blatantly agree with everything there since some of it is just forced. Tho the return thing I learned from the bray edition.
  3. bullcrap, lucas said in an itnerview that he changed revenge to return mostly because merchandise would have much more costs with more letters in it, so he changed to return which fit perfectly on everything. Yep that's Lucas for you, all on his blu-ray collection (and even more talk from business viewpoint), still loving him :>
  4. I hear you, I created this thread solely after trying PvP combat, was having tons of funs on various alts in warzones in 3D. Damn nice effects and environment :> and I guess nvidia just set f*ck it, we making this game 3D ;o
  5. Some SW specialist elaborate why the stormtroopers suck so much and get one shotted in armor by everything. And no it's not just because of the cloning.
  6. Nameplates weren't an issue for me, issue was only with the slider, either all the way down or you see ghosting. Still looks great tho.
  7. Maybe it's the depth slider? You tried all the way down? or setup or my eyes are whacked lol
  8. Import it! you'll have to look around a lil tho to have bundled 3d vision kit and guarantee with it. How much for the sword fight tho? :>
  9. Hmm so pop out is bad? Damn I like it but I had the monitor only for a few days. Now I have somewhere darksiders - you say it's worth going back to?
  10. I had swtor in windowed mode it didn't work, when I put it in full screen, native resolution started working, adjusted the depth slider and worked perfectly.
  11. My slider is all the way down, I like the characters and objects stickin out like they were in front of me tho
  12. Depends on the game really, some are better optimized, some worse and generally it's a drop form 100% to about 60%. Have 460 GTX and swtor on high works good, ilum unbearable, Pvp and pve decent and enjoyable. With 3d I didn't feel the frame drop so it couldn't be that big. Space combat had some hick ups here and there but nothing unplayable.
  13. Yep some games are terribad, 'cough' spess marine 'cough', others don't have the 'sticking form screen' effect and have just some depth. And other games are bioware...
  14. Your sitting closer and yea it's worth it - I was playing on my 46' TV on the downtime until I bought this monitor and yep I sit close and looks great Can also switch back to TV for 2d right? But it's a general rule of thumb, once you go 3d with a mmo you never go back :>
  15. < Here > is also some article on 3d from beta of SWTOR Tho ghosting depends on the monitor model, on the lowest depth I have proper 3d and no ghosting. And yes if you zoom your character or come close to any object it looks like it's coming out of screen :>
  16. It's also not on my list and I have up to date non-beta drivers, you just go into nvidia control panel, stereo 3d tab and check in the option to enable 3d in games, you will run a quick configuration wizard and it will tell you if your graphic card system is ready. Then whenever you launch a game, it will be changed into 3d even if its not on the list(MW3 is not on the list and looks great). Just look in the bottom for option to not enable 3d in games when they are windowed etc, just turn that option off. Put on your glasses and go pvp or space combat!
  17. In my country this monitor what freakin expensive, but ordered it from my neighbors and the price was 1/3 lower :>
  18. Yes but they are not your average cinema glasses, so it's comfortable for the eyes.
  19. Exactly my reply to all this type of threads, lack of content blah blah we all know this isn't superb mmo, but now with this 3d it's again fun to 'just play'. Might end when I get used to 3d on daily basis but I hope new content will come out until then...
  20. not trolling, now to business Asus VG236 LCD monitor, its basically build for great overall performance and image quality in 2d and has the 3d built in (in comparison to other 3d LCD that concentrate just on 3d and makes playing and watching movies in 2d a bad experience). It's bundled with full nvidia 3d vision in it, just plug adapter to your USB port and turn on wireless glasses. If 3d is enabled in control panel, it changes all the games into 3d. with some better some worse. Swtor for me atm is the best 3d experience, I didn't play a lot but from what I played nothing can compare.
  21. I was forced to buy new monitor since my old broke down (crap devices made to work only for 3-4 years nowadays) and saved some money to have the 3d option and not just same old LCD. Bioware overall does great job with 3d gaming (mass effects and swtor)
