  1. I have been leveling up new alts like they're going out of fashion lately and I am finding it very tedious playing my Imperial characters through all of the content I can't skip. I play all my characters as light side, and in order to get the LS outcomes on imperial side, you need to play all the content. It's getting to the point where I'm so sick of KotEE/KotFT in particular, that I am finding it tiresome and tedious, and it feels like a chore. (The variety of stories in the base game is such that this has not really been a problem for me there, especially since some stories even have a nuance in the way LS/DS choices go - but I would like to be able to skip and choose LS outcomes on Empire/DS on Republic) tl;dr: It would be nice if we could get a choice between DS or LS outcomes when choosing to skip content, regardless of faction or class. This is something that should really have been in the game from when we were first able to skip content.
  2. Umm... I did? They're civilians, and it's my duty to get them out of harm's way as soon as possible. (I play all my characters as light sided, and that's basically why they've all made the choice to save the entertainer.) Generally I will save the civies and the same faction NPCs. It's an almost impossible decision, in my opinion.
  3. I'm all for both of these suggestions!
  4. Is this a problem even if you have unlocked field respeccing? I haven't tried that yet, so I was just curious if anyone else had.
  5. I personally love it. So much cleaner and easier on the eyes. The inventory panel is a bit plain, but there's no issues with reading it or anything. However, I think the character panel is very much an improvement. ETA: the only think I don't like about the new inventory screen, is that sorting by compact also sorts by quality, and it shouldn't do that given quality is also an option for sort by. I like to have certain items in the first few slots in my inventory, and they get messed up.
  6. ArcheAge isn't even the first. You could switch factions completely in EQ2... And I'm sure there's been other games that allowed it too that may predate EQ2. I personally would love to be able to have my saboteurs completely switch factions too... Don't think a saboteur would have a particularly long life on either side, because even though we have the MC factor (being the best and brightest of our classes etc) we're bound to stuff up sometime and get caught. Neither faction would be particularly kind.
  7. Heya, Hitting I will open the inventory, but hitting it again won't close it... only escape works. It might be a small thing, but it's quite annoying.
  8. They only need to look as far as weightlifting to see that is true. There is a difference between body building and body sculpting... The former is to produce functional strength, while the latter just shapes muscle and drops fat/water for a cut look. Almost all my characters are BT3 (Chiss) females, because I find them sexy and also want to resemble them as far as a non-binary afab could (yes with the blue skin and red eyes, but with less breast and arse size). (Sadly, being a 5'5" human and morbidly obese, that'll never happen)
  9. Oh yes, and also Purple and black. Or blue!
  10. This happened for me too... All wiped. Back to level 1. It'd be nice to at least have access to my level 50 legacy for testing new characters... but I guess I can live for now.
  11. Thank you so much for doing this. I now have a better idea of how this all works. I am rather disappointed to see that they still haven't fixed the KotFE Chap 9 Lana romance bug after all this time, though.
  12. As far as I'm aware, Lemda Avesta could not be killed off. But she was not really into the romance either, you pretty much had to pester her until she gave you a kiss/her holonumber. Lemda was bisexual as well rather than outright gay (not that I have an issue with that, bisexuals aren't unicorns after all). All the female force using LIs are either straight or bisexual. I'd like to see a female LI (not necessarily a force user at this point, way too many female force using LIs already) who is exclusively f/f because lesbians aren't unicorns either.
  13. Oh gods, so much this. Honestly, I enjoyed KotBB (as I call the expansions - Knights of the Blah Blah) the first couple of times I played through it. But now it's just getting interminable.
  14. I think if you give it time, now that Knights of the Blah Blah (KotBB) is over, you'll see less of Lana. Also, some of the Lana being "shoved" in your faces is due to the fact that Theron is killable. So he's not going to be the one giving out missions anymore, because it would increase the workload for the devs by needing two sets of voices for the same content. (This isn't supposed to be a defense or anything, it's just the way I see it.) I have a feeling that Jedi Under Siege is the beginning of the end for the Alliance. We'll end up all going our separate ways, and I suppose Lana and Theron will get folded back into their respective factions. Neither of them are in the available companions section of our Crew screens anymore iirc. Without the Alliance, neither of them will be all that important in the grand scheme of things anyway even if they don't go back to their factions. This saddens me because I really love Lana. She's the only LI most of my characters have had (and that is quite possibly WHY I love her so much, and turn a blind eye to her more obvious dark side leanings). But I suppose many lost their LIs when KotBB came along, and haven't really got them back in any real meaningful sense since. (I just played through my SW getting her LS Jaesa back, and while the scenes were cute - it was a little awkward in the sense that these two characters hadn't seen each other in a very long time - you'd expect some time spent getting to know each other again, and such*. Which meant it was underwhelming in terms of quantity. My SW is the first of my characters to have an LI other than Lana, ftr.) * During SoR and the prelude to KotBB, my SW was flirting with Lana every chance she got. However, a bug meant that the game didn't acknowledge this (it's that bug at Chapter XI? I logged out in the middle of it, and the game patched, and when I logged back in all the romance flags had been set back to null). So she ended up sitting on the shelf gathering dust, until I learned that LS Jaesa would be available to female SWs on her return. Anyway, good luck with getting your request fulfilled. But I don't think it's really necessary when every romance ends the same way - bricked companions when the content is done with them regardless of whether you part ways amicably or kill them or love them and keep them. TL;DR: Don't like Lana now? Just wait, she'll be gone anyway.
  15. There are four different body types for each gender - with one being quite a bit taller than the other three. So they have to account for height differences in their scenes... which they don't do particularly well. My ladies are all body type 3, and it's weird that sometimes Lana is taller? (I usually just hand wave it as a result of my lady picking Lana up to kiss her.) Yeah, and someone mentioned on page 11, I think, that there are no solely m/m or f/f romances... There is precisely one. It's Lord Cytharat in RotHC. He's only romance-able by male imps. I suppose it's just a fling, though. (There has never been an f/f only romance, flirt, or fling in SWTOR to my knowledge (and I'm a pedantic know-it-all usually). It seems the rule of thumb is that all women LIs must be available to men.)
  16. I don't know. I kind of like that my Agent can be a proper double agent (sided with the Republic, but working for the Empire) but... aside from a couple of bonus options - it was kinda weak? I think it would be great if we could get a defection option, where we properly change sides. It should be open both ways, IMHO. (After what they did to her, my Agent really hates the Empire.) Also, the story is so short. I got through it in a couple of hours. I'm thinking I must have missed something. Ah well, I'm catching my SW up so I can get LS Jaesa back, and hopefully romance her.
  17. You need to look at your contacts screen (which is n by default). Click on Lana (or whomever) and read the text. If you're in a romance it should say.
  18. Whee, here comes another necro (sorry everyone). Seems they still haven't fixed this. Or if they have, it hasn't been retrospective. Anyone know which it is? Trying to decide if I just reroll my SW or not (and if I do, do I have to run her from 1 or can I use the 60 boost?).
  19. That's all well and good, but I think I misplaced my TARDIS. Anyway, it shouldn't have to come to that. Bioware needs to FIX this ASAP. I need to be able to go back to characters I left in chapter 9, and simply pick up where I left off with Lana. I have a feeling that's not going to happen - because it seems that any flags triggered in KotFE romances other than Theron's have been lost - it'll be difficult for Bioware to ascertain who had which flags triggered. (I suppose they could put in an additional "conversation" in chapter 9 where we get a chance to flirt with Lana or Koth, but that seems like a lot of work.) I waited a very long time for SGR in this game. When it finally arrived it was half baked (Lord Cytharat and Lemda Avesta), then it was intriguing but limited (Lana and Theron), and now it's bugged and still limited. I think I'm finally coming to the realisation that I'm just done with SWTOR. (This is not the only reason, though, just to make it clear - but it certainly is a major contributing factor to my dissatisfaction.)
  20. When I stopped playing, there was nothing after Chapter IX. I had already finished it with a couple of other characters, and then <insert whichever game it was> came out and I decided to take a break and play that for a while (I think it was Fallout 4, but I can't be sure). I had NO idea that subsequent chapters/patches would break the Lana romance. And I came back AFTER it was broken. So I had no option to "just finish the chapter before the patch" on those characters I had started IX on but hadn't finished.
  21. Hello again everyone. Sadly, I've come back to find Lana's (presumably Koth's as well) romance has been broken by a recent patch, and if you are in chapter IX and haven't got to the romance lock in conversation, you'll never get it. Because you need to have flirted with them previously, and for some reason the game has forgotten that you've done that. The only character you can flirt with in IX is Theron, which means his is apparently unchanged and can still be locked in. Almost enough to drive me back away from the game. (I do have four characters with Lana's romance locked in, but any other character in chapter IX? Nope. Gotta check to see what happens with a fresh character who hasn't done any of KotFE.)
  22. I just came back after a longish absence from the game (since IX was new). I just started to play my SW again today, and came across this bug. Prior to my leaving, I had started Chapter IX with her, but not finished it. She was at the stage where she had to go to the war room to talk to Theron and get introduced to her other allies (the Hutt Doctor, the Bothan General, the Mirilan Smuggler)... So I did that, did all the associated side-quests, and went to the cantina to "relax"... Now, prior to my leaving the game, this SW had taken every single possible flirt with Lana Beniko in SoR and KotFE (to that point). I am pretty obsessive about this, so I KNOW I did it because Lana is pretty much my only flirt option in the whole game (long story short, I only do wlw romances). (I think I might have taken flirt options with Senya when presented with the opportunity, but other than that I took all the Lana flirt options I could. Not sure if that has some effect or not.) Anyway, (another) long story short (too late!) - I didn't get a flirt option in the Cantina. I could say "I want to talk to one of you" and then select Lana from the three options - but there was no specifically flirt option (which I remember from other characters I had completed IX with before I stopped playing). So, of course, I reset the quest. Tried again. Same thing. Tried again. Took a flirt option with Theron (who is the only character who presents a flirt option during Chapter IX), just to see what would happen (ick)... And I get the option to flirt with him and only him. I've reset and logged out from the character, she won't be played again until this is fixed. Together with the solid week I spent trying to get the game patched, the ridiculous problems with mobs aggroing from halfway across zones and the continuous ambushes seeing through my agent's (companion's) stealth making it worthless in most situations (hello, my opening attack relies on stealth?), I'm on the verge of cancelling my account altogether and giving up on this game. (I have played through the two characters I got things locked in with Lana prior to my break, I basically have nothing to do right now in the game. ETA: Nope, I have two more characters I can play, both got IX finished before I took a break, yay?)
  23. Either you or I are misremembering that letter, because I swear it basically said "when are you coming home?", and nothing to do with dissolving the marriage or anything. In any case, it's not really all that relevant - easy enough to head canon away.
  24. And yes, many male LIs for fem!Chars prior to 50 have at least one awkward moment where they seem to assume you're in a relationship with them when you're not. (Tharan Cedrax, I'm looking at you!) Others just won't take no for an answer. She does, though her surname is spelt Hale. Unfortunately for her, she's been in so many different thing her voice is recognizable no matter what she does. So hearing Fem!Trooper interacting with Satele Shan is pretty trippy. Yes. Considering both of my Agents are decidedly LS (one ending up an independent rogue/ghost looking out for the citizens of the Empire, the other an SIS double agent), the DS choice was not an option.
  25. I've been through Voss twice with female IAs, and the event that happens there didn't seem as bad the second time through. If you don't want to know, don't read this spoiler.
