This has been my experience, too. I could see Vanguards having a much easier time with tanking, but Guardians really have to work. Healing on my Sage is *yawn*.

Question: Why is Shadow Tank easiest tank? I've never played one, but I have played a Guardian tank...

Been doing a lot of group finder FPs to level my Sage. Sure, I've had to work through random drops and the occasional disconnect, but the last FP really chapped me. Cademimu. We burned through to the last boss without issue, everyone seemed familiar with the fights. Tank engages, first missile fires, tank and one DPS are instantly incinerated. Here's where it gets weird. The tank instantly quits the group. DPS revives at med center but of course the chamber doors are sealed. For the next 5+ minutes, the DPS commando and I fight the boss. Eventually, we get him down to ~10% health but by then I am just spent. After many Noble Sacrifices (no heals for me except for Force Mend), I just couldn't keep it up so we go down. Commando says, and I paraphrase, "you're lvl 30 but your heals are insufficient" which I read as "it's your fault we failed." I normally don't get angry, but, given the course of events, that just really rubbed me the wrong way. He asked to go again, I just typed "no thanks, didn't appreciate the comment" and exited. Otherwise, he played a good commando. I'm open to criticism, but please don't start with blame. Probably not a big deal to most hardened veterans, but that's been my first genuine "oh no he didn't just say that to me", and this being my fourth character and all.

I bought the Conservator's robe off the GTN because I'm not a gambler. Not entirely happy with it, but at least it's hood down. I would prefer a toggle or a hood down version of the Knight's Crusade set. Just simple robes, no need for any kind of gadgetry, doodads, or armor plates. JUST ROBES.

I have a 38 Defense Guardian and a 36 Vanguard. I can play the latter efficiently with my eyes closed, but the Guardian requires much more attention for maximum potential. Guardian: Force Leap Opportune Strike Force Sweep Pommel Strike Force Push Saber Throw Force Leap Opportune Strike Blade Storm Combat Focus Cyclone Slash ... [Hilt Strike] [Force Stasis] [Master Strike] [Freezing Force] [Force Sweep] {Opportun...etc etc] ... Profit Vanguard: Incendiary Round Ion Pulse High Impact Bolt Stockstrike High Impact Bolt (if refreshed) Harpoon Explosive Surge Pulse Cannon ... Repeat as necessary. I guess my point is that the line between Ineffective\Effective is very wide for Vanguards but very slim for Knights. Shinjin

If I wanted to play Rift, I'd be playing Rift. An important part of BioWare games is your characters having to live with the choices they make. Being able to have everything your way all the time makes everything dull and homogenous. Just like the ability to toggle off Sith corruption; again, no need to wrestle with the effects of your choices. The current respec solution offers a few do overs in your character's career. That should be enough. Please stop crusading to turn this game into another "I can haz cheezeburger too" clone. 2c

Can't speak to Sentinels but I've not experienced any game breaking issues on my Defense Guardian. The most pressing issues for me: 1. Riposte sometimes not following through\working\whatever. 2. LARGE BUTT ROBES 3. No non-robe\hood\cape customizable chest armor.
